Great product ecspecially great price. Some people have said on this page that it silences your gun.....It doesent.Your barrel is wat silences your gun not this bolt. when i bought this ( right when i got my tippmann) i noticed that it improved my accuracy and a few other things. Dont waste your time reading 100 reviews for this productit is definatly worth the $$. just go buy it.
Conclusion:
Buy this it does a lot for only bout 10$

Strengths:
After installing this, I noticed a definite change in my gun's accuracy. My shots were straighter, and much more accurate. I started seeing less and less balls curve way off to the side. This bolt will increase tour accuracy and consitency.
Weaknesses:
After using it for about 2 years, I noticed that the knob the cocking pin fits into had come loose & could be pulled right off the bolt. But, I have noticed no change in performance, seeing as the gun's frame will hold the two peices snugly together.
Conclusion:
This is an excelent addition to any paintgun, and for about $15, It's worth every penny, GO BUY ONE!

Review:
I just tried this bolt out for the first time today. I started by setting up targets at 60 feet. Before installing the hyper star bolt I shot 10 rounds at the target with my stock bolt. I was using month old Evil paintballs (these are just a tad to small for my barrel, but they still work well). I was able to make a group within 18".
I then installed the hyper star bolt and tried it again. The first thing I noticed was I had to turn up my regulator. My paitballs were not even reaching the target. Once I got that problem fixed I proceeded to try to hit my target. The next ten shots were aweful. They were going everywhere except were I was aiming.
I was just about to give up on it when I decided I would empty my hopper first. I slowly began to notice my shots pulling in on the target. After about 50 rounds I noticed a great improvment so I decided to try it on a new target.
I was able to make about an 8" group at 60 feet. I continued to shoot at a coffee can I had out and was able to pump shot after shot into it.
Conclusion:
In my opinion this is a great upgrade for the price. I will take a little lose in air efficiency to save on paintballs. With the set up I have I noticed a great improvment in accuracy. I would recommend this product to anyone who is not happy with the accuracy of their tippmann, but doesn't have the money to spend on expensive barrels sets.
Stock bolt. The stock bolt isnt bad but it is definetly less acurate than the hyper star bolt.

After installing the new bolt i went outside to test it and at first the ball looked like it was curving a little more than usual but after 3 shots it was shooting straighter than i have ever seen it shoot before. I dont know why it did that but . I noticed a definite improvement over the stock bolt.
Weaknesses:
There was absolutley nothing bad about this bolt.
Conclusion:
This bolt is definetly worth the 10 to 20 dollars you will pay for it on ebay. I reccomend this as the second upgrade. For a m98 besides for a new barrel. i give it a ten

it adds accuracy to the gun and decreases ball breakage. i got a few more shots per fill and noticed a change in sound. made the ngun a lil quieter. It does everything that it was supposed too. im really happy with its performance. One of the first upgrades i would get. my stock bolt broke paint like crazy
Conclusion:
go get one. for the 10 or 11 i got it for it is a really nice upgrade. well worth the money

Strengths:
it fits fine. be sure to buy one for the 98c if you have a custom and one for a 98 if you have a 98. there is a distinct diffrence. thats why half of you all have to sand them down.
well its cheap but price isnt a factor. it is face is more open, so i guess you would have imporved flow, and inadditon its face is curved in not angular like the stock. so slightly less breaks.
Don't know what to say. Seems like everyone else who has the hyper blot loves it. But none of them have the flatline barrel with it. I think that the two just dont want to work together.
There was an instant change from stock to hyper. I just had alot more curve balls with the hyper. Ya I get them every now and then with the stock bolt, but it was just night and day difference over the hyper. But when they don't curver they are straight as can be.
Conclusion:
Think its a good product....just not with the flatline

this is a good up grade that will make your gun more accurate then buy this but don't think it's goin to do wonders this is paint ball and if you think ever ball is goin to go where you want it to ever time
and the bolt not haveing un o ring it dosen't matter if it did or not the 98c is an open bolt blow back marker by the time the co2 gets to where the bolt and barrle meet it's to far back to do any good even with a o ring if this is a porblem for you buy a power feed

Review:
I bought it the other day for like 15 bucks and I was excited to give it a try. It installed really easily, so that was good ... However, I immediately noticed that there was no O ring like the stock bold had. I scratched my head and went on. So I went out back to test it and I was surprised at how tight the patterns were. Everything seemed cool so far ....
Then I got to the paintball field and went to the chrono. It came in about 40 fps lower with my normal settings on a full 12 oz tank. This was semi alarming ... so i adjusted it as high as I could but it was suspect the whole time. Overall distance was decreased. I had to refill the 12 oz tank numorous times (when i typically only fill once per day).
Needless to say I am giving this a thumbs down cause of the loss of distance, lack of O ring and serious waste of Co2. Not to mention the fps was all whacked out.
I switched back to the stock bolt, as I belive it is a much more solid performer !
Conclusion:
I would seriously rethink using this product. It will waste your money and while the consistency of your shots will improve, the disadvantages are simply TO HIGH!
