 |
| Strengths: |
1. 6 different modes of fire to choose from.
2. Lowers the operating pressure of the gun slightly (by about 250psi).
3. Turning an M98 into an Electro--the person who came up with that idea had a good one; the manufacturers screwed it up badly.
4. For the five minutes this kit actually worked, I was impressed. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
I had the EXACT same problem as Snipr (see previous review). 'Nuff said. I got extremely frustrated with the gun and decided to just forget it and send it back. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Basically, if you get lucky and end up buying a kit that isn't defective, you'll have a great time with it. Otherwise, just save $250 and forget about buying it.
You would be better off buying a true electro-pneumatic gun (ex. Angel, Shocker, Impulse, etc.)--they're more reliable. |

| Strengths: |
I have had lots of experience with the model 98 since it came out, this is an extremely good thing to have with your tippmann. I have had not a single problem with it ever. I normally use this gun for cover fire for my team, allowing them to advance upon everyone. The rate of fire is mad with this thing, i would suggest a 12 volt rev to even use this thing. I have never ever broke a ball even with the worst paint. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
a damn pain to install. But well worth the time it took to install in on my original m98 not a custom |
 |
| Conclusion: |
A MUST for m98 fans like myself |

| Strengths: |
This is a great mod to the Model 98. The rates of fire are awesome, the full auto mode has an adjustable rate of fire that goes up to 13 shots a second. Also, the pneumatic bolt replaces the current bolt, so there is no need to cock the gun anymore, and the gun gives less of a kick as there are less parts moving. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Its complex to install. If you know the internals of the gun you'll be better off. Although the video it comes with is pretty good. I'd say even if you were not familiar with the internals, if you watch the video and take your time you could do it. The trigger is really sensitive after your done....and I mean a hair trigger, so you have to be careful of accidental shots. Also since there is no bolt to uncock the gun, the safety and your barrel plug are the only safety's. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
I think this product is worth it. IMHO it makes a great paintball gun even better. You just have to take your time installing it and you'll be really happy with the result.

| Strengths: |
Looks cool |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
LISTEN UP......I really wanted to like this upgrade but i have to be honest with you.........I sent mine back. My gun was soooooo bad with this mod it wasnt even funny. My gun chrono'd at anywhere from 110fps to 365fps and became completely unreliable. My gun also just stopped firing twice. Noone knew why. I sent it back to Tippman twice.......it always came back "working" but the chrono problem was never fixed and it always broke down again. Now im stuck with a gun with holes drilled in multiple places and no em kit b/c i returned it. Now im thinking about the RT mod, but a little voice in the back of my head keeps calling me crazy. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Conclusion: It looks cool but all the frustration just aint worth all the money.
I would not reccommend this mod to anyone. Sorry tippman........i love everything else that you make. |

| Marker Setup: |
M98C, dbl trigger, direct feed, big shot barrel, all american barrel, 68/5000 nitro tank, palmer stab, ebolt, DOP drop forward, VL with x-board, dye stickies. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
Number of firing modes
Rate of fire is nice
LP bolt helps keep balls from being chopped
Shortens trigger alot. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Wires to battery and switch too short. I spliced in more wire so it's better now.
Clear tube from LP reg to bolt kinda crappy having it run on the outside of the gun. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Picked it up on ebay new for $160.00. The $220.00 and up is too much.
Overall I like the ebolt. I'm very happy with my tippy and the way it performs with all the mods. |

 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
Shoots fast as u want. Can make trigger lighter tan anything. Lessens kick. Chronos better with nitro. If youre gun sucks at the chrono it has nothnig to do with this. i get +-3 fps on average. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
My back ram valve is worn from about 30 cases of paint and need a new spring for it. IT is complicated to use but nothing that should render use. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Excellent product. Could be prettier but tippies arent pretty anyway. And if you really worry about looks go to an N8Sync concert. |

| Strengths: |
Fantastic mod! Sent my gun to psychoballistics to have it installed by them with a drop-forward. It came back 2.5 weeks later looking very sharp. They did a great job milling out the receiver so that it fits perfectly. Took it to the field, chrono'ed 271 with my Flatline and Marbs. Went out set on 3-shot (which you can just brush the trigger and get 1-shot). Was more accurate, better range and consistency, and more balls in the air than anyone else out there. For cover fire, there's nothing better. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
This thing SUCKS THE AIR! I'm getting 1000psi per 300 balls from my 88ci N2 tank on a 70degree day. If you're going to shoot this mod, you really need a big N2 tank and lots of filling. At about 800psi it starts to drop off, very audible change in the gun. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Its expensive but makes the 98 a very impressive gun. |
