Review:
I have been using this adapter on my 12" C-Series for over 2 months and I am very happy with it. The C-Series is a great barrel that has outstanding accuracy, is relatively quiet, very lightweight, plus it just looks good. Before I bought this adapter, I would rarely shoot over 60 feet because I don't like arching my shots to much. I can never tell exactly were they will go on the first shot when I was arching my shots.
I bought the Apex and this adapter at the same time. When testing my Apex with it's stock barrel I found that the Apex was very inaccurate, but when I put the tip on my C-Series with this adapter, I was getting the same accuracy as I was getting with just my stock barrel, but now I was getting that accuracy out to 100 feet without having to arch my shots. I use my Apex set at level 4 and have it sighted in for 75 feet & 100 feet.
Apex + 12" C-Series with this Adapter + Visible Impact Paint = One shot Head shots at 75 feet! I nailed three head shots from 75 feet and 1 body shot at 100 feet. All on the first shot.
Conclusion:
You will not be disappointed with this product. If you have a C-Series and want extra range, this Adapter plus an Apex is highly accurate.
Regular Apex barrel, Special Ops adapter is much much better. You get the best of both worlds. Awsome C-series barrel with the long shots of the Apex when you need it.
Marker Setup:
I own 4 Tippmann A-5s. OneSmart Parts Ion for speed ball. I have 4" 12" and 16" Cseries barrels from Special Ops. Sly barrel for my Ion. Tons of upgrades for all of my markers.
Strengths:
Price. Very cheap. Awsome Idea. Works perfect!!! Well made.
Weaknesses:
Must have Apex and C-series to work. No weakness that I can tell.
Review:
I bought the 16" C-series barrel awhile back for one of my A-5s. I got to tell you the best barrel I have ever bought. Trust me I have tried alot. I wanted something different for a project A-5 I was working on. I wanted something really short. I have tried a really short barrel but totally hated it. Couldn't hit anything with it. So when the Apex adapter came out I had to try it. I already owned an Apex, which I liked but not accurate at all. I loved the distance though. So I bought the adapter and the 4" C-series barrel. Loved both. I was amazed at how well they both worked. Looks friken awsome to. So if you already own or looken to upgrade your barrel I highly recommend getting the adapter. The sticker price for all three (adapter, barrel, Apex) is alot but well worth it.
Conclusion:
Awsome product, well worth it. If I could give it better then a 10 I would.
