STRENGTHS
-As already mentioned, the kit looks fantastic. With the tank and hopper off, it looks completely authentic (if not for the Tippmann badge on the side of it). I got huge attention and a lot of compliments from all kinds of players of various ages. Even the refs gave me props on it.
-Performance of the barrel and the sound it makes is awesome. Although it isn't ported, this barrel performs better than some that are. It has excellent range with slightly above average accuracy. It sure does make a sound when it fires! It is pretty loud. People start to get an idea when they hear it. I started hearing people say, "There's the guy with the AK..."
-The CQB wire stock is the same as the Poly stock. You remove the poly sides with one screw, and bam! you have a wire stock. This pleased me because down the road I may order the matching poly barrel/shroud to go with it (just so my gun can have another look).
-Despite slim to no directions, this kit is extremely easy to install. It is just a matter of a few push pins and screws and you are ready to rock.
WEAKNESSES
-My A-5 got pretty fat once I installed the AK Kit. I really didn't notice when I was in the field playing with it (too excited), but as soon as the game ended and I was just walking around and/or messing with it, those pounds were pounding me. I don't consider it a bad thing for myself (I kind of like it), but I know other players would. I suggest going with a remote line kit and possibly getting a sling for your gun as well. I had a 20oz tank with no sling and my arm is pretty sore right now. Those will definitely be my next two purchases.
-I have to say that not all components fit as well as I would've liked. The sight rail and magazine holder fit perfect and are quite tight. The stock is a bit loose, but I think all A-5 stocks may fit that way. I'm going to double check that I didn't miss anything before saying for sure that it's wobbly. Either way, I'll find some way to tighten it up. Also, although the barrel/shroud is quite tight, the upper piece of wood on the shroud seems to turn freely to the right and left while in place. Luckily, that isn't ever the part that you are holding, but I still found it annoying. I will also be double checking my install work on that and searching for a way to make it tighter.

| Conclusion: |
Overall I love this kit. I honestly don't count the weight against it and I'm pretty sure with some thought I can tighten the two loose areas. I think you'll love the look and performance of it. Highly recommended!! |
