The purpose of the Sleeper Body not only to replace your tired old stock body, but also to make getting to your bolt much easier. We all know that with Smart Parts first round of Ion type markers (Ion, SP-8, Epiphany) getting to the bolt was a chore.

With the Sleeper Body removing your bolt for maintenance is no longer a tedious project. Take a look!!!
Product Availability
The TechT TechT Sleeper Body is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Strengths: Looks,no one has one, may colors, super easy to get the bolt out
Weaknesses: I guess price?
Review: it is true you get what you pay for. you could buy a neck off semi B.O.B for mabey $50 less but it well be more work, wont look as bice and be cheaper made. this body is super easy to put on theres even a vedio on techts website showing you how to. all you have to do to get the bolt out is to just unserw the back cap and your done! there is no leaks!! my fohen body would leak a lot..and there was no problems whit the fohen body they just leak a lot. But if you want a B.O.B body and want the BEST then get the techt sleeper ion body and plus Todd is a great guy and stands behind all his products and well help you whit all problems you might have.
Conclusion: You got the money buy this

Couple of upped Ions, Pm7, newly upgraded ion blows all away in my opinion
Marker Setup: Sp Ion -> Blackheart board , Evil Detonator Reg, Techt L7 bolt, Techt Sleeper body, Techt Spring Detents, CP Trigger, Evil On/off with Shocktech dropforward, Evil Pipe Kit
Strengths: Disassembly is now a breeze, now fully aluminum body instead of plastic, easy install, looks
Weaknesses: Possible issue with Clippard style QEV?
Review: I purchased this body kit after searching for a good body kit that would improve looks, replace the weak plastic stock body, and also improve performance and easy of use. The techt sleeper body does all of the above. Along with the body kit , they also shipped a free container of techt gun grease which works very well and also a set of techt delrin spring detents so you never have to replace detents again and they also improve performance by reducing friction on the bolt allowing you to lower your dwell. After installing the kit (very easy by the way regardless of the currently bolt you're using, I highly reccomend the Techt L7 bolt though it rocks ). They have a video on their site as well to help you install the kit with very clear instructions. After I installed I gased it up to make sure there were no leaks and there was a small leak by what seemed to be the QEV, which was a Clippard QEV at the time. After a little trouble shooting, I swapped out the Clippard for a 360 QEV and the leak disappeared, so I'm not sure if my Clippard was sealing properly or what so that's why I listed it as a possible weakness just for a little FYI for people considering this body. Once I corrected the leak the Ion just ripped!!. I have the dwell at 8, about 160 PSI, maxed the ROF on the blackheart ( 23bps ) and the ion just ripped through pod after pod of paint flawlessly( also note this paint is a few months old so this was kind of crappy paint too!). The consistency and accuracy were phenomenal and in my opinion surpassed the performance of my PM7. Also with the techt L7 bolt their is essentially no kick allowing you keep on target with ease and also making your gun significantly quieter. I have only had it for a short time but I believe that this body with last very well. It's nice anodized aluminum so it's tough and looks good and very unique too because not too many people have them yet. It makes maintenance a breeze since now it requires no tools to remove the bolt. All you have the do is thread the back cap out and push the bolt out, wipe it off, grease, push it back in there ya go. Compared to disassembling a stock ion this is a drastic improvement.
Conclusion: I highly reccomend this body kit. Techt did a fantastic job. It improves essentially every aspect of your ion and especially when combined with the techt L7 bolt, you can make an ion just as good in my opinion maybe even better than Protos and Dyes and with a lot less o-rings to worry about leaking! If you wanna stand out in the crowd and make your ion rip get this kit!

Marker Setup: Smart parts Ion with QEV, virtue board, cp trigger.
Strengths: The looks, the overall idea.
Weaknesses: Can't get it too seal at all ever since i got it.
Review: Ok so i was very excited to have the ease of the B.O.B. system and being able to clean and lube the internals within seconds. so i pulled it out of the box and started watching the instructions on Techt's website and it was very simple to put it all together and follow along. So after i was done i aired it up and it was leaking like crazy. so i pulled it all apart checked all the orings and watched the instructions again, and put it all back together, aired it up and it was still leaking so i tried doubling up one of the orings cause it seemed like the oring wasn't quite reaching the sealing point and it still leaked so i decided to email techt and try to see what they could think of doing. They told me to try two things and nothing worked so i emailed back saying that it was still leaking and waited for a week and they hadn't emailed back so i emailed them again and waited and waited and waited........... THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME AGAIN TO HELP. and i heard how great they're customer service was but didn't recieve much help at all. I've had my sleeper body for over a year now and still have NOT been able to use it. (still won't seal)
Conclusion: I wish i would have never bought this, and i don't know if i can really trust Techt anymore

Weaknesses: Smudges easily (aesthetic)

Review: I've been playing with my Ion since it first came out, about 3 years ago, and it has been my favorite among all of the markers that I have used. The main weakness to the Ion is the cleaning of it, particularly the constant disassembly. In order to even access the bolt, you need to remove the battery, 3 body screws, undo 3 banjo fittings (or 2 and a QEV), pull the entire board out, take off the eye harness, and unscrew the breech from the firing can. Then, and only then, can you reach your bolt. With this kit, you never have to do ANY of this, at least after the installation. The installation is pretty simple, just replacing parts, no cutting or anything. There are even helpful videos on Techt's site. After you're all done, all you have to do is unscrew the back cap, push from the other end (straight shot squeegee works best for this imo), and it all comes out. It can be a bit tricky to get used to putting it back in, but once you get it, you're golden.
Conclusion: Excellent quality kit, looks great, makes your life MUCH easier. Saves you time and frustration (as well as wear and tear on your body screws). Probably the best part of this is not having to mess with the QEV every time you want to clean and relube (which I do every week, I know, I can't help it). I'd give it a 10/10, but nothing is perfect, and the price and learning curve of this product keep it from perfect, but this is still a VERY, VERY good product. I highly recommend it!

Bought the ion with the dynasty kit. Wanted something with BOB so I bought the sleeper kit.
Marker Setup: Ion
TechT Sleeper Kit
360 QEV
Fire Bolt
Empire Reg
some other stuff
Strengths: Kit looks and works awesome
Weaknesses: Kinda expensive
Review: This kit works great. Instead of pulling the whole gun apart, you spin off the cap in the back and pull your bolt out. Very simple for maintanence right before the you play. It gives the Ion a new look. Most people dont know what it is.

They sent me a leaky replacement banjo fitting for the rear of the gun. I sent them an email and they had a new one sent to my door in 2 or 3 days. Customer service was great but they new fitting still leaked. I had to back off of the fitting with an allen key until it stopped leaking. You have to find the sweet spot where it seals up. Once you get that its fine.. I've played a dozen times now since I bought it and no leaks.
Conclusion: If your willing to spend the money its a great kit, definately worth your money. It might be alittle bit of a hassle for the banjo fitting but once you get it sealed up its works fine. Great customer service to.
