Status is the top of the line JT goggle. Equipped with the Quicklock lens system for fast and easy lens change. The mask comes with a dual thermal lens, 270 degree of visibility and removable visor for play in all light and weather conditions. With a narrow streamlined jaw the gel mask allows the player to sight better and be less of a target.

Having worn my profilers for a couple of years now i decided it was time to get a new pair of goggles,having looking around i decided on a set of STATUS goggles from JT as they were a new mask on the market and jt having a good rep for goggles and having already worn proflex's and the flex 7 range i new how comfotable JT goggles are.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS.............
My first impression was how much they resemble the DYE range due to the face plate design and also how much heavier the status goggles are compared to the proflex range but suprisingly just slightly more heavier than the E-vents range also the goggle system is a single piece design so there is no chance of mixing the the goggles and face plate colors.
BUILD QUALITY...........
Build quality is top notch as you would expect from JT,ear protection is way better than the proflex covering all of the ear lobe area and the material used is a very supple flexible rubber unlike the foam used in the proflex and E-vent range.
The faceplate on the status isn't as flexible as the proflex faceplate but does offer a certain degree of flexability due to the material used in it's construction.
QUICK CHANGE LENSE...............
The QLS system is probably one of the quickest and easiest lense change goggles out there period...................simply turn the two yellow dials 90 degrees and hey presto the lenses pop out and are ready to clean,just push back in the lense and turn the dials until the arrows line up and your ready to go.
PROTECTION............
The status goggles offer excellent face and jawline protection and also the peak gives good forehead protection and a chin strap stops the goggles from coming of mid game and overall protection is better than the e-vent and proflex range IMO.
ON THE FIELD TEST...........
I have only worn the status goggles for two evening training sessions but i have already realised the status goggles are my perfect goggle system.
I must admit my first concern was of the venting in the faceplate causing problems with overheating and communication but these worries where soon dissmised as i was playing in the height of summer in hot and humid conditions with no issues at all with regards to fogging or overheating....
Comfort was typical of the JT range FIRST CLASS with no problems,also the weight of the goggles wasnt an issue for myself as i didn't notice it to be an issue while playing.
And with the thermal lenses offering 270 degree of visibility,on field vision isn't a problem. |

Overall i would say JT are on to a winner with the status goggles and would recomend these over most other systems out there,they are definitely a top tournament level goggle system and Whether these take over from the proflex range only time will tell.
I for one are happy with my purchase...................

I picked up this mask a while back right after they first came out due to my Proteus dieing on me. I love the feel of the mask. I rate it a bit lighter than my Proteus, but not by much.
The Pros:
I've been shot from 25 feet away in the face and paint bounced off. I can't say that about any other mask I've ever worn. The rubber pieces off the mask are very soft and will not take a break.
Cons:
Over heats like its July in the South; no matter how cold it gets, This mask will still fog up on me. The mouth piece retains too much heat in my opinion, and if your face happens to sweat then the mask fogs. All other masks that I have worn haven't had this problem. I'll probably go towards a V-Force mask just for this reason. Seems that this mask is a bit smaller than previous versions that JT has released. I don't have a large head and the tips of my ears and my chin are able to be shot while wearing this mask.
JT doesn't make a fan for this yet and retro fitting an older JT fan will not work. |

A great mask to wear. Very comfortable; just overheats too easily. Who cares about comfort when you can see your target? |

OK, after having got tired of my Proflex, which I used for marshalling recball, and playing speedball, I decided to upgrade to the supposed top of the line. First impressions, VERY good, a great looking mask, very comfortable, and did not fog at all. I took it down to practice with me and played a while with it, there were no concerns until the 5th game, I was playing, and got ramped right into the visor. The lens is held by two dents, which popped out, leaving a hole in the top if the goggles, the EXACT size of a .68 calibre paintball. at this point I left the arena, and took them straight back to where i got them from. There was NO WAY i was playing with a set of goggles that would pop out just like that, and this is a sever design flaw that seriously lets down the JT brand |
