Marker Setup:
The only upgrades and modifications done on the marker include a CCM Delrin Bolt, CCM Delrin Back Block, CP Shorty Grip Regulator, a J&J Performance 2-piece Ceramic Barrel and both a Halo B or my Empire Prophecy loadrers (YES! It's that fast). I use a 48/4500 psi nitro tank.
Recommended Upgrades:
Right off the bat I'd say at the least you should purchase a good verticle reg and get a lighter bolt and back block setup. Reason being, the gun shoots a bit inconsistant with velocity spikes which tend to have a horrible effect on accuracy, bps and distance. Once you get a good verticle reg, you'll notice that now your front block and LPR are now running a bit on the lower pressure end (150-200, which is down from as high as 500 psi) which means you should get a lighter bolt and back block setup which will increase cycle rate. But once you do this you'll notice that you can rip paint faster than most mech 'cockers (talking like 15 bps, out shooting some lower end electro hoppers) while maintaining accuracy and distance.
Strengths:
- Fastest mech cocker setup (my opinion)
- Keeps up with electro's
- accuracy range
Weaknesses:
- Needs some upgrades (well worth it though)
- Complex for beginners
Review:
Cockers arent for beginners, it certainly takes tinkering (timing, etc), but it's fun, it's a really fast setup without having to get an E-blade. I would recommend it for folks who like cockers and want a gun they can "make their own". I've gotten to a point where I dont need to do anything with it and I may want to build a cocker from scratch.
Conclusion:
WOULD recommend for serious players who are ok with complexity. WOULD NOT recommend them for beginners. Cocker lovers should get this gun, it's high quality, has a 90 degree trigger (rare for cockers) and very unique.
