A third person shooter that puts you in the life of a professional paintballer. You control how your team breaks, what guns, barrels, and hoppers they use, and what clothes they where... You start off the game by choosing a name for your team, and then choosing a team captain. You play through tournaments and unlock new guns on your way. The career mode is great, i find it somewhat un-realistic, for one, i would never beat Dynasty, and also, guns like the DLX Luxe are "Heavy" in the game. One more thing that made me mad was the VL 200 Hopper. Yes, this gravity feed hopper fed about as fast a a Velocity But, it is a game...
Product Availability
The NPPL NPPL Championships 2009 is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Product Use:

Products Used:
nothing, my first paintball game
Marker Setup: Stock Tippmann 98 Custom(basic), Tippmann Alpha Black Tactical, Gameface Vexor, Kingman/Spyder VS2, Proto SLG UL
Strengths: Graphics(at least on the wii)
Very thorough on the gameplay
Excellent replay value
Weaknesses: Ratings on guns and gear
Some of the advice is just hype(see review)
Review: Graphics: Well, this is coming from a WII console, so they don't have much to pull from. So I guess its a 8.5. Not sure on other consoles though.

Lighting: Well, in speedball its easy to see your opponants against the field. Against some bunkers though(like dark colored ones, not the Phillidelphiah ones, love that field) it is hard to see them clearly. And I have a 42" screen with a 720 pi screen resolution. So that gets a 6. Now, inh woodsball, I CAN"T SEE A BLOODY THING!!!!!! Its agravating. I love woodsball, but it sucks playing on it. I pretty much run down the tape and shoot, shoot, shoot all the way down until I get out. Its retarded. I give this a 4.

Gameplay: Its very thorough. Change your teams breakout pattern, change your gear(which is pretty standard, but hey). The only thing is that it "unlocks" gear. Thats retarded. They should make gear more expensive so you have to save up. Not win a bunch of times(which would still mean you have to beat levels...). So thats my complaint. Everything else(replay value, controls, etc...) are perfect(although it took a little bit of practice with the wand as I don't have a zapper >:( ). I give this a 9.

Gear : With the statement above, there is another complaint. The ratings are screwey, and the actual speed is weird. I have a Magna on an ION. I'm shooting at about 10 bps. I chop paint. WHY? Its a magna! On an ION! Why am I chopping paint? I give this a 5.

Tips and advice: These are retarded. HPA is better than CO2. While I get why they did that, they could just say, "HPA is genrally cheaper and better than CO2, but if CO2 is setup properly, it is much better and cheaper in the long run than HPA." Or something like that. And another is finding the right bore size. Underbore or overbore, thats the best, not the "right bore size." All well, you can't have everything. I give this a 4.
Conclusion: A very nice game with infinite replay value. A definite keeper and buyer. Love it lots and yeah.
