ACI High Volume Cells (H.V.C.) replace the front reservoir plugs on the F4 Illustrator, Spyder and Griffin. The H.V.C. acts as a staging area and allows a greater mass of air to lie in reserve in front of the valve assembly creating more consistent shots.
Product Availability
The ACI High Volume Cell is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Daisy EP Sight
Black VL 200
Pure Energy 20oz. On/Off Co2 Tank
Strengths: Uhhmmm adds consistency (shots that are more grouped in velocity)
Saves a little gas...maybe adds 50 to 75 shots
looks really cool...
also acts a a very mini x chamber...very mini
Weaknesses: nothing really...more cosmetic than anything...
Conclusion: a 9 because nothing is perfect...looks cool on the gun and if you need more veloctiy consistency and get penalized at the chrono a lot...then i'd definetly get this ACI product...yet again...ACI does a great job...

F-2 Illustrator
Strengths: Looks cool,
Cheap upgrade
Does help when rapid firing,

100 Words, okay let's see
It has neat little waves built into it
The ACI logo is very pretty, what with it being oval shaped and all that
Comes with an o-ring already installed,
available in a variety of colors and finishes
Weaknesses: What could be bad about it?
i've often wondered why they dont make them any bigger, wouldn't a larger HVC hold even more air in reserve, improving your consistency that much more?

Conclusion: If you are on a budget and would like to change the looks of your gun, and improve its performance. This is for you, couple it up with a six stage expansion chamber and a regulator as your budget allows and you will start to see some real improvement

stock Spyder LP chamber
Marker Setup: a Shutter with lots and lots of stuff
Strengths: the HVC adds more consistancy to your shots. it also acts as a second expansion chamber and reduces clouding. it looks great and the color is nice.
it is very inexpensive (like $15-$20) and makes the gun better. it also comes with its own o-ring.
Weaknesses: there is nothing really "bad" about the ACI HVC. though it is more of a cosmetic upgrade than anything, but is still effective.
Conclusion: this a great product. it has good build quality and is worth buying. it is a good upgrade to consider, just dont spend more than like $25 on it. it will improve your guns consistancy and reduce clouding if your running CO2.

Marker Setup: spyder java 2in1 with aci 4 stage ex chamber, shocktech derlin bolt, CP 14 and 10 inch one piece barrel, taso drop forward, 20oz CO2 tank wtih anti siphon, esp trigger frame, 12 volt revvy, 32 degrees spring kit, JT flex 7 ize mask, PJ harness, everything is anodized to match, later imma get it milled.
Strengths: OMG... dis little POS really works on consistency. i have and electronic trigger frame using CO2 and u people know dat CO2 is really unstable... and this thing made my shots more consitent, but i am gonna need a regulator with a nitro tank to make it REALLY SUPED UP!!!
Weaknesses: nothing, i really dont C anything wrong wit it.
Conclusion: PPL say dat using CO2 wit an electronic trigger frame will mess up ur gun/marker. well i got news 4 u PPL... I only have anti siphon and a 4 stage ex chamber and i have never had any problems wit my marker freezing up!!!!!! SO LAY OFF!!!! =)

Marker Setup: Spyder standard with HVC and maddmann yellow spring. Also Smart parts progressive.
Strengths: More staging area for expansion on my gun, and improvement over old where I had just a little block, came with no air chamber. Maybe 50-100 shots, and the gun didnt get cold when I shot fast. I dont know if it had any effect, but I get about 800 shots out of a 14 oz. tank in 30-40 degree weather.
Weaknesses: Not much
Conclusion: Very good for the $4 i paid used for it. Not much can go wrong with a used think like this, so if you find one for sale at a paintball store, pick it up.

Marker Setup: F4 illustrator, ACI Venturi bolt, venturi 14" barrel, ACI 6 stage exp chamber, ACI HVC
Strengths: I have noticed a little more consistency between my shots but not much. Doesn't really make a difference but it looks cool on your gun.Get it.
Weaknesses: nothing really.
Conclusion: Like I said , it makes a little difference and makes your gun look cool so I would get it. If you pay more then $20 then you getting ripped off. There isn't too many upgrades for the F4 so you might as well get all the upgrades you can. Get the HVC.

Strengths: I bought it for $10 and noticed that it adds a little more consistency to my shots when rapid firing but not a real big difference. I think it's more of a cosmetic upgrade than anything else
Weaknesses: Nothing really because i got it for cheap and it makes my gun look cooler.
Conclusion: It's basically a cosmetic upgrade but I did notice some change in the consistency of my shots esp. during rapid fire. I would suggest buying this but I wouldn't spend more than $10-20 for it because it's mainly cosmetic as I said before.

Strengths: The Good:

Looks nice on your gun
Replaces the plug below the barrel
Put it on my Spyder Standard and looks nice
Weaknesses: Doesn't really do much unless you are running a true Low Pressure system
Conclusion: Strictly a cosmetic upgrade to your marker. You don't have to install it, but if you do don't pay more than $15.00 for it. Perhaps save your money for real upgrades and get this later.

scrappy Sunday, June 3rd, 2001
Strengths: cheap easy mod. i have noticed it makes my gun shoot better and get more shots per ounce. plus it gets rid of that stupid resivoir plug and makes the gun look kick ass. with my ACI 6stage x-chamber, magna port valve and shocktech bolt <aluminum> i last all day on a 9 oz tank.
Weaknesses: not much except that the threads have worn quite a bit after owning it a year, but thats my bad. also it needs an ex-chamber and valve to be real efficient
Conclusion: this is worth the 15 bucks i paid for it and it just makes the gun look great. i reccomend this to those of you looking for a cheap mod to start out with.

Products Used:
spyder compact 2000 stock low pressure chamber
Marker Setup: Spyder compact 2000, ACI 6 stage ex-chamber with braided steel hose, ACI High volume cell, and 16in. armson barrel.
Strengths: It seems to shoot at a faster velocity than the standard stock LP chamber. I purchased it mainly for use with a low pressure setup which I will be getting after the holiday. It couldn't determine if there was a faster restore rate, as I don't unleash paint like a "mad italian"(that joke "goes out" to the hartzman) I imagine it would provide plenty of air in the reservoir of a spyder for low pressure. Don't buy a shocktech low pressure chamber; shocktech makes bad enough bolts, I couldn't even imagine them making a useful low pressure chamber. I was told to get a shocktech over this LP chamber, however I would recommend the ACI over the shocktech even though I haven't used the shocktech.(i have had too many bad experiences with shocktech products to begin to use or recommend another shocktech product) GREAT PRODUCT FOR LOW PRESSURE USE. It also looks "cool," if your concerned with looks. THIS IS ALSO A USEFUL UPGRADE FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT CONCERNED WITH OPERATING PRESSURE.
Weaknesses: I don't think there is anything wrong with this product. It would be "interesting" if they made a 16 in. ACI LP chamber though.("sweet" reduction in operating pressure if there was a 16in. ACI LP chamber.)
Conclusion: I would recommend this product for high pressure use to improve staging of liquid co2 and maybe add some more power(not terribly noticeable if it does.) It is also a great LP chamber for Low pressure use. I would have to give it a 10 because its definitely an improvement over a stock LP chamber, and I have tried no other LP chambers.
