Review:
I bought the pretty cheap on Action village, they were on sale. I have never had any problem with these pods, they are cheap enough to throw and not really care about them breaking, which they dont break, my little brother stepped on one and it didn't break. they seem to hold a little more then 140 balls. The lid stays on tight, and they come in different colors.
Not the best pod but great for what they are, they do what they are supposed to.
Conclusion:
They are PODS, they are good for what they are which is holding paint, you can buy better more expensive pods but if you dont want to really worry about them getting lost, broke, or stolen then buy these.
I bought a whole box of these when I saw a website selling them for .89 cents a pop. After having used them at my most recent outing alongside a pair of DYE locklids, I can say they held their own. Bear in mind, we are talking about paintball PODS, but all the same, they were durable enough not to break on first usage, and the tops were stubborn enough to stay shut until the moment I needed them to open.
That being said, the plastic used is thin and flimsy to the touch on the sides- it almost feels like one could easily bend it in half with minimal effort. It also feels like one could easily bend it back into usable shape. Beware of this, however, as paint inside isn't likely to be insulated against you dropping your pod as well as if it were in something sturdier. You've been warned.
Conclusion:
I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of an 89 cent pod, nor do I expect the whole lot of them to last long. With this in mind, these far exceeded my expectations. though it remains to be seen as to how long they'll last, they've proven to be sturdy and reliable.
Great for anyone looking to stock up on cheap pods for that big scenario game that's coming up, or for anyone who loses pods regularly and is tired of paying 3.99 for extras. Also great for anyone looking for paintball pods on a budget. You really can't get much cheaper than this.
Not so great for anyone who needs rock-solid, high capacity, or easy open pods.
Their reliability and bang for your buck factor earn them a 7. Their cheapness earns them an 8. Their flimsiness keeps them from a ten.
