Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I wrote bad review about the gun (a few months ago), and wanted to update everyone on my feelings about the product. Right around the same time that I wrote that review I was very frustrated so I just decided I would take the gun apart, lube everything and put it back together. I did do some research and I read other places where people were having problems because MacDev did not install the valves very well on these guns on occasion. So, knowing that I took the gun apart, lubed everything, used weak loctite on the valve and put it back together. The leak stopped after that and I am happy to say that I like this gun very much. It is very accurate and fun to rip out streams of balls with the short trigger pull. I bought mine shortly before the new grip addition but I have a feeling that I might not like that as much anyway. So, I am very happy with the gun. It looks great, shoots great, etc. I just had one bad experience, even the best of companies put out a few products with problems, however small they may be. Thank goodness it was fixable through simple methods.
Not everyone gets the same product which performs flawlessly all of the time. Some people will experience problems while others may never. To say that people who write ligitiment poor reviews are unknowledgeable or havn't done their homework is rude. Just because you got a product with no problems right off the bat and someone else didn't, don't insult them. Just write your good review and let it stand to their poor review. If the person is honest like I am trying to be, they will return and write a corrective review like this one.
The gun is great!
Gun looks great, shoots great, short trigger pull, simple maintenence. I highly recommend it! I give it a 9 because 10 is supposed to be perfect and I don't know if that is perfect for everyone. By a 9 rating, I am saying the gun is fantastic and I highly recommend it.
98 LED Angel
A nice revy and Conquest n2.
Efficient (1600shots per 68/45, more if you used a barrel without much porting..Im getting 1600 off a Freak)
Low Pressure (although I could care less....The fact the LPR can run at ~70psi makes it chop less if by some reason you outshoot the hopper)....Mine is running at 200psi/290fps, and LPR is at 80psi
LIGHT GUN. It is THE lightest gun I've ever held.....Mine weighs in at 2.5lbs with a SS backed freak kit and 12" Tip......Very small profile.
Super nice gripframe......It allows you to get nice long strings of fire when you need it. The board capping kinda sucks on it...So its hard to get the Max rate of fire of 14.7bps, but still......Once you learn it, you can get strings of 10+ BPS easy, without a problem.
AWESOME REGULATOR. If your running dual reg nitro.....Expect +/- 1 or 2 fps over the chrony.....You can set it at 295 and not fear spikes .
Cocker threading is a plus if you just switched to it from a Cocker.
The springs kinda suck.....I was wanting more of a Adrenalin Angel-esque feel, but didn't get it with the Sonic frame...But still, 0.3mm trigger pull = sweet
All in all...........Excellent gun......You get what you pay for in this baby. One gun you can take stock off the wall, and not put a dime into it and have it to where you'd want it.....If MD started putting PDS on em.......It'd be even nicer.
Wow, the trigger is insanely fast. It's amazing how fast you can shoot with it. Very light and very short trigger pull with good return. Extremely consistent and comes with a 2 piece CP barrel. It has the gladiator reg and a 68/4500 tank. LCD screen on the back is really nice. Has a high rise feed so chops are no problem with bursts. Smooth shootin, can't go wrong with this marker.
The hammer is threaded onto the hammer pump rod. It comes loose during paly and will stop shooting. A little loc-tite and no problem. That;s the only problem it has.
Have the money? Get this marker. I recommend it over an angel. Great consistency and accuracy with insane speeds

I never really new how good the Macdev products were. I believe they are low pressure people, who make valves, vert. regs, tanks, and some custom guns. The BM2K is very nice. Mine is the new version, with the better looking trigger gaurd, it kinda looks like an angel one. I have a eclipse blade trigger, but if you wanna spend a bit more money, a ripper grip frame is very nice, I have one on my eclipse bushy. The LCD screen is very nice, and I like it alot better than the one on the angel, because you can see this one easily if you need to, while the one on the angel is under you hand.
The gun shoots smoothly, quietly and very fast. I have a set of supa-slick eclipse bolts, and the hammer and ram are pollished and it has the red valve so its easy to understand why it has such a smooth cycle.
It runs at very low pressure, like a shocker, or matrix, so it is quiet. The kick is not much, because it is LP and has a nice bolt.
The accuracy is helped by low pressure opperating system, and a CP pro barrel kit. This shows that Macdev spared nothing when making this gun. I get dissapointed when you have a custom gun, with everything tricked out, and a stock, or crappy in-house barrel. The company should either produce there own high quality barrel, or include a aftermarket barrel.
Now onto my favorite part of any electronic paintball gun, Rate of Fire. I think rate of fire is very important, up there with accuracy, in modern paintball. So does this gun have it? Definatly. The blade trigger with the eclipse springs is very good for ripping out quick snap shots, while the ripper grip can send off long strings of paint, your choice. The stock trigger is pretty fast too. The blade with the stock springs is very fast, and can do some pretty big lanes of paint too. The blade upgrade is mearly for the style of the trigger. This gun can keep up with angels, and in turbo mode can outshoot them.
First, the gun has everything done to it already, so you can't get that many upgrades, and alot of people like doing that.
Also if you wanted to upgrade something, you could, but chances are the stock part is so good it be a shame to waste it. I don't know why I put this in the bad??
It is very good out of the box marker. Something to consider when stepping up to an electro gun, looking for a cool custom gun, stepping over the tournement devide, and so on.
I've shot cockers,angels, and others
I used to have an autococker and they all have this reputation of being accurate right?!
You have to shoot a sonic bushmaster to believe what I'm about to tell you.
They are as accurate as the cocker or even more.
Faster and more reliable. I have never been so happy with a gun before.
The only bad thing about these gun is that you probably don't have one yet.
It comes with all possible upgrades on it already. Just take it off the box put the air system on it and you’re good to go.
I recommend this gun to anyone.
The gun is just great!
