Piranha STS G3 p/f, a Scope (yes, I put on a scope), 200 round hopper, some stickers (if it matters), 20 oz CO2 tank, my new All American Barrel 2001
Recommended Upgrades:
New Barrel... Get an All American Barrel 2001. They are very good barrels for low prices. And also you can get a new, faster hopper
Strengths:
Great beginner gun. Almost never chops balls with p/f
Weaknesses:
Had a couple of double-firing problems
Review:
Great beginner gun. All this needs to be very good is a new barrel
BUT... be sure NOT to get Brass Eagle balls if your new...
Now, for the gun, the fire rate is not as fast as the others. But its like that for every power feed gun. But its a crap load better than breaking balls a lot. And I dont know how, but my insides have a deep scratch. So to be safe, you may want to oil your gun.
Conclusion:
Very good gun. Just get a new barrel and you already have a good gun. But then it will break SO many balls... their balls (Hehehehehehehe)
Rating:
10 out of 10

Review:
The STS G3 is an awsome gun. I have had mine for a year now and love it. I have put many things on it and the best upgrade i must say is my e-force trigger frame. The gun itself is great right out of the box. It is very reliable and doesn't need anything done to it when you first get it. Another great thing is PMI's customer service. They will ship you any part you need for free for a whole year.
Conclusion:
I would recomend this to anyone starting the sport. It is a great gun with a great price. I got mine for $130. This gun isn't just for beginners i love mine and intend on entering a few tournaments with it before i get an impy or cocker.
No x-chamber(Gas thru but it is awsome) nothing else
Review:
I first got the gun and pluged in the CO2 and shot it with full velocity. Shot amazingly straight with the stock barrel. The gun is sooo light it is 2lbs 12 oz with nothing at all on it. The Spyder Shutter is 4 lbs 14 oz with nothing. this is a awsome gun! get it now. if you are low on cash get this and it will be fine without anything!
Conclusion:
THE BEST MARKER MADE EVER!!! Buy this right now and try it! i havent had 1 problem with it except one major one :( the problem was it was to good! lol!! GET THIS PLEASE!
-Armson 13" Steath Barrel (BAMF)
-20 oz CO2 tank
-New flush bolt
-Normal Hopper
Recommended Upgrades:
New Barrel is MUST DO!!!
Tear Drop 14" is pretty good but if you want your gun to be very accurate for about 70ft I recommend Armson 13" Steath Barrel and maybe a new bolt...
Strengths:
-Accurate 9.1 (compared to DYE DM4)
-Light
-Cheap
-Ball never break (Anti-Chop)
-Light
Weaknesses:
None
Very reliable!
Review:
I been paintballing for almost two and a half years now and this Piranha is my third guns that I have. It freaking amazing, acurate, and light...If I could choose DM4 and this Piranha I would choose the piranha over the DM4...It an amazing gun VERY reliable!!
PMI Piranha STS G3 in Woodsball = Kick Ass
A5 didn't stand a chance...
-Overall I give it a 10 easily
Conclusion:
This gun is amazing please consider buying it if you in to PMI!!!
New Barrel would be a good Upgrade but the stock one is accually pretty good
Strengths:
-Barely can hear it shoot
-Accuarate
Weaknesses:
-Bad Distance
Review:
My friends bought this gun last year sometime and i have used it a couple times. I was very impressed with it. I shot it when it was completely stock and i was still impressed. The only problem i found with it is it had horrible shooting distance while stock. Every thing else was really good. It was very quite, all you could here is the ping of the pin when u shot. He soon upgraded it with a new PMI 14' barrel. I about craped my pants when i shot it. The barrel made it a little louder but so much more accuarate. That thing shot the same place each time you shot. I gotta hand it to piranaha with this gun. They make good products and heres a good starter product. If your just getting into the sport heres the gun for you.
Conclusion:
To make a long story short this gun is unbelievable for what it is. Blow back semis usually dont come this good for this price. Great Entry gun. The slap a new barrel on this and your more than set
PMI Piranha STS G3 PF, 20 oz. CO2, 2002 All American 14'' Smart Parts Barrel.
Recommended Upgrades:
i recommend a new barrel as with any new gun....but you can live with the stock barrel it's not horrible. I bought an AA barrel and it works wonders for me.(get this barrel)
Strengths:
very light even with 20 oz, trigger pull not many like; but it's great.
Weaknesses:
breaks cheap paint, puts little scratches on the bolt...don't know why?
Review:
I think that this gun is excellent for a beginner or a high level player. i love this gun i have only broke about 2 ball in the gun (thats because i was using cheap pant) out of about three-thousand balls. I use PMI Premiums for paintballs haven't broke one yet. i would recommend this gun to anyone. once i bought this gun two of my friends bought it as well. don't buy a dye excel for this gun my friend did and alls it did was make it quieter big mistake.
Conclusion:
I find this gun a really good deal. i got mine for 130 dallors online. so buy this gun, dont buy the excel for the gun though or u will be sorry. i give it a nine because no gun is perfect.
tlx, xtra their the same as mine. view loader, i like my gun better.
Marker Setup:
I use my piranha i put a new 14in barrel , and bolt, i also put the sping that came in the box its makes your gun stronger. I put a new regulator and trigge
Recommended Upgrades:
barrle and bolt and trigger
Strengths:
Accurate
Easy to take apart
Weaknesses:
Gas hog
Review:
one bad thing about this gun is that i that i got such a good rate of fire i chopped a couple of balls butt i guess that is kind of good. The 14in barrel really helps. the gun is also light but not to light. you should definitely get a barrel it really helps. the gun goes though o ring quick so i recommend you get plenty of every kind. also this sping that comes in the box is way better so put in in. you should get something that looks cool for your gun so you can say my gun looks cooler. the gun is good for woods ball because its easy to fix and it blends in with its surroundings. i think im gonna get a bi pod and recommendations.
Conclusion:
This is a great enerything gun so you should get it.
I have a Pirahna STS g3 with a VL hopper, 16 oz. Co2 and the rest is custom since i just got the damn thing
Recommended Upgrades:
I would recomend as always a new barrel a regulator, new expansion chamber, and new trigger frame
Strengths:
Easy field stripping, light, and its not bad out of the box
Weaknesses:
The stock barrel
Review:
This gun is great. It will get you going right out of the box it worked for me. I mean the only real bad thing is the stock barrel but what stock barrel isn't bad except for angels and autocockers. I really recomend this gun to any one. I hope this review did something for you.
Conclusion:
I totally recomend this gun for anyone. Great gun out of the box its light made really well and has lots of great things about it. You get what you pay for!
i have a pirahna sts g3 with un upgrade spring set and an 8stage upgrade forgrip with a 12 oz pure eneergy co2 tank
Recommended Upgrades:
ACI 6 stage expansion chamber, barrrel(stock sux) smart parts FREAK or ALL american, or teardrop. new trigger frame(plastic slipery and looks crappy) drop forward
upgrade grips.
THE PMI STS G3 IS A Good gun IT COMES IN2 COLORS FOR ABOUT 150-180$
IT SHOOTS WELL USUALY BUT SOMETIMES DOES CRAPPY IN COLD WEATHER
THE STOCK BARREL IS HORRIBLE (BUT DONT GET A DYE EXCEL FOR IT CUZZ IT PERFORMES AS GOOD AS THE STOCK) GET A TEARDROP OR AA or freak. ITS PRETTY GOOD AT RAPID FIRE BUT WOULD BE better WITH AN X CHAMBER
the TRIGGER FRAME IS ALSO KINDA SLIPPERY I'D REPLACE WITH A METAL ONE
OR GET SOMe gripz,
Conclusion:
its a good gun for 200 bux it needs a barrel and an x chamber but it works pretty good.
PMI Black Piranha STS G3 w/ Powerfeed
Smart Parts All-American 2002 w/ 12" Freak front
Mako Storm E-Trigger frame
Palmer Stabilizer regulator w/ gauge
Ricochet 2k agitated hopper
PMI Turbo Valve
Shocktech 4" Drop Forward
20oz Co2 tank w/ anti-siphon
Recommended Upgrades:
A good aftermarket barrel. I went with the All-American because I felt it was a good balance of price and quality (it only cost $75, compared to the Boomstick's $110 or the Freak's $200).
A good regulator. I went with the Palmer Stabilizer because of its reputation as the BEST regulator for Co2-driven guns. I was not disappointed. If you can't afford a regulator, at least get an expansion chamber and anti-siphon.
A new spring kit. I had to use my red spring right off the bat.
Strengths:
Very smooth trigger pull. Some complain that it's too long, but I can pull off a decent rate of fire with it.
VERY easy to field strip and clean. Just pop out the field strip pin, and the bolt and striker all slide out.
I have not broken a single ball of paint in the last 4000 rounds I've shot through this gun.
With a regulator, it's extremely consistent. My FPS varies only by +/- 5fps.
Comfortable to hold and carry. This is ESPECIALLY true thanks to the stock gas-thru foregrip.
Light and small, very good for fast games.
Very cost effective. For about $100 online, you get a damn good entry-level gun. If you need better performance, you can spend a few hundred more and get a gun that performs just as well as any high-end marker.
Weaknesses:
Hmm....can't think of much.
Plastic trigger frame. I suppose it's a minus, but I haven't really had any troubles with it.
The stock barrel sucks. Get a new one.
A little long if you get a 16oz or 20oz tank, but a drop forward fixes this very well.
Loud, even with my heavily-ported Freak barrel.
VERY high operating pressure. With my Stabilizer set at 500psi, the marker shot 230fps. I had to crank it up to almost 800psi to get it to shoot at the field maximum of 270. And yes, this was with the stiffer red spring.
The inside anodizing of the upper tube is a bit rough and uneven.
Conclusion:
The Piranha STS G3 is the first marker I've ever owned, and I LOVE it. In all likelihood, I'll keep it until I can get a better marker, like an Autococker that I can tinker with, but until then the STS G3 has and will serve me well. Even though it's technically an entry-level marker, you can upgrade it until it's practically tournament-level. No marker is perfect, so I can't give this full marks, but there is no doubt in my mind that I chose the right marker as my first one.
