Review: First off, I'm really impressed with this marker. So far, it has performed wonderfully, requires little maintenance and it feels good to actually own something like this.
The marker is all metal, looks very nice in chrome and black. The body is extensively milled and there is no annoying beavertail (the body is of an inset design). The grip is large and comfortable, the trigger pull is very light, but alittle on the long side. It's easy to shoot long, fast strings of paint with ease, but short, quick bursts are alittle more difficult. Once you break the marker in, it shoots must faster. You can rip at least 9 balls per second. The JT is also compact, which makes up for the crappy drop forward which doesn't go forward at all. Really, it isn't a weakness, because the gun is small anyway. Because the JT has both a regulator and an X-Chamber, your consistency is very good. The barrel looks like a mini-boomstick or JT Two-Piece and actually performs wonderfully. This marker is kick ass accurate, provided you have a good paint to barrel match. I don't know what everyone is saying about chopping paint. With good quality paint, I never chop, I don't even have a Revvie and I don't chop. Last time I played, it chopped 1 in 1000 balls. The paint was smaller than the barrel bore too. It seems JT screwed up the 5.0 and 6.0, the 4.0 is quite possibly one of the better mid-range semi's on the market. It all comes down to quality, reliability, cost and performance that is demanded by today's players and the JT 4.0 delivers. 'Nuff said.
Conclusion: This gun has it all. A whole slew of accessories and upgrades for under 400 bucks. I got it for 300 Canadian instead of 410, a very good deal in Canadian standards. The Metamorph expansion chamber is genius, saving you air, and giving you enhanced accuracy. The regulator regulates the CO2 for added consistency. This marker is easy to strip, easy to clean and easy to use.

No complicated gizmos, no weird extensions. Its a high quality semi for the price, one of the best. If you want a compact, highly accurate, affordable and rugged marker, look no further than the 4.0. It has all that you need, and more.

-A electic hopper
Strengths: -Shoots hard
-Shoots accurate
-Looks sweet
Weaknesses: -You have to change the batteries for the handle alot
-It sometimes chops cheap paint
Review: I was using this gun before i bought my new gun. My buddy was bragging about this gun so i had to try it out. Well this gun never let me down. It impressed me with its high rate of fire and unbelieveable accuracy.( I shot a coke can from 45 yards away first shot) On top of all this its easy on c02 and not that expensive. This gun is good for players of all skill levels and requires very little upgrades. GO GET THIS GUN...NOW!
Conclusion: Really great gun go buy this gun before they raise the price of it!

Barrel, and mabey an electric hopper (revvy 9v)
Strengths: Good Begginer gun, has decent looks for a gun.
Weaknesses: Found that bolt pin could fly out easily(had to order new one)
Review: Ok, this was my first gun, and just noticed that i haven't wrote a review on it, when i first got this gun, i loved it! i would walk around the house with it, look at it, wipe any dust off of it when ever i had the chance, i loved it, then when i finaly got to gas it up, i loved it, it shot pretty accuratly, i could hit a back board of a basket ball goal from about 60 feet easy with a stock barrel. I think that this is a really good gun if you want a good starter gun, this is the way to go, not BE. I think that BE only makes gun's just so they can stay on the market, JT however actualy makes their guns because they know how to make them, and want them to perform.
Conclusion: I think that this gun should be considered for any one wanting to get their kid a first paintball gun.

Have used Tippman's and Spyders. This gun compares to them
Marker Setup: JTExcellerator with All American 14" barrel
Recommended
Upgrades:
While the stock barrel is very good and accurate, to take your game a step forward I would recommend a longer good quality barrel. Also an electronic hopper because you will outshoot your hopper!
Strengths: Does not chop balls and is very accurate out of the box.
Weaknesses: Tends to leak co2 at various times in different places
Review: I am very pleased with this gun. Again, it shot very well out of the box and I have chopped very few balls. I bought mine for around $120.00 and the only upgrade I have put on is the barrel and an electronic hopper. I have played with some spyders and this is a better gun. I would say it is as good as the Tippman if not more accurate
Conclusion: I would give this gun a 9 because of the air leaks it sometimes has

B.E. Avenger, Whoa, no comparison!!! The Avenger was not good accuracy and chopped balls a lot. Also, it leaked, wasting 20oz tank.
Marker Setup: Stock w/ gravity fed VL200 hopper with a unnamed practice paint (half price of tourney balls, and work too).
Recommended
Upgrades:
Maybe a barrel for longer accuracy and maybe some kind of trigger job (personal preference). I think trigger pull is a tad too long. If you really want some enormous firepower, look for an electric trigger, cant go wrong.
Strengths: Good Co2 efficiency, pressure gauge gives you an estimate to how much Co2 you have, expansion chamber helps a lot, only had one small freeze because i was shooting like a maniac wasting about 150 shots non-stop to test it. I shot over 1000 rounds on one 20oz before the tank was empty.
Weaknesses: Should have a longer, more accurate barrel. The stock is good for speed ball, but not for longer dist. Nothing more i can think of but a a tad bit long of a trigger pull(not real long, bout 1").
Conclusion: Very good med to beginner gun. Accurate, Sturdy. I even shot fast enough on this thing in a game that three burst came out and got this guy in the neck, chest, and shoulder at 50 feet. And blazed two guys in the side of the head streaking an oozing green burst!! (and they were semi-pros. :) fun fun!)

Currently None
Marker Setup: None, other than Basics
Recommended
Upgrades:
Electronic Hopper ( 60 extra dollars ), New Expansion Chamber , New barrel
Strengths: This gun is better accuracy and distance wise than many of the cheaper guns,
Cleaning is easy with the strip system
No assembly required to cleaning the gun.
It's a very fast gun ( though not completely compatible with fast shooting )
Electric handle comes with message settings, timer, and shot counter
Weaknesses: The gun is quite heavy compaired to a lot other guns,
Without electronic hopper, the paintballs may have a %%15 chance of explosion unless each paintball is shot with long spaces between each shot.
- When balls explode it will desperately offset paintballs with a 20 foot radii of target area fluctuation
The gun's shots are very loud,
Electronic handle beeps loudly,
and if batteries run out in the electric handle, you will need to replace them
( which takes time and difficulty ) and about 5 dollars for 4 batteries.
The drop down might be offset, so it won't lock very tightly, so it wiggles.
The vert feed isn't very reliable, and the hopper can fall out easily ( unless you get an electrical hopper )
Conclusion: ( I believe I am a non-bi-est opinion on a gun, and actually give more description other than "This gun is the BEST" or "THIS GUN IS GR8 " and so on and so forth )

This gun, which resembles a space gun is a bulky and heavy gun, has a good performance, but many flaws for each pro that it may have. It requires a lot of money to upgrade it, and by the time that is done, it may just be fine to get a gun of the same worth but of already better quality.

If you fix all the flaws, it isn't bad at all, a good gun for begining if you want a good gun to start out with.
The price of this gun is dropping drasticly to 199.99 in many stores, so if you're going to buy or sell this gun, do it quickly.

Strengths: Somewhat Accurate. Quiet. Customer Service. Easy Assembly.
Weaknesses: Breaking down often. Chops paint better than a blender. horrible bolt.
Review: well. the JT 4.0 is an OK gun for a beginner because its easy to disassemble/assemble. customer service is great. i lost a part, and they sent it to me Fed Ex. it's pretty accurate.

ok im not saying any of this because i had a faulty gun or a company defect, but JT's fall apart over a few months use. my drop forward began to loosen and after about 2 or 3 days of play, i had to tighten the parts after every 5 minute game. If you want a beginner gun that will last you a little over a year please do not get this gun. there are very little if any upgrades for JT's. If you are looking for a beginner gun, you might want to go for a Spyder Xtra. Hope my review helps.
Conclusion: -1 for bad bolt
-2 for no upgrades
+1 for good customer service
-3 for chopping paint like crazy
-1 for faulty parts

mostly spyders, i wanted to try an older gun that was recommended to me by a buddy
Marker Setup: JT excellerator marker with tru flight 16 inch chrome sniper barrel (monster barrel), max velocity spring, 20 oz co2, and electro hopper
Recommended
Upgrades:
none, barrel is great, and internals and trustworthy
Strengths: Shoots hard, very loud, intimdating, saves air pretty well, reliable, doesn't chop, looks cool
Weaknesses: Sometimes leaks air, since they are older the valve might get rusted and so on
Review: Great gun, overall great buy, it's good to get this gun back into play, shoots really hard, and doesn't chop, looks intense, very loud and intimdating, the guy i took this gun to to fix said it was one of the loudest guns he'd ever heard, saves air great with the regulator, yeah so buy this gun and get it back into actio, i have and you should too
Conclusion: If you're looking for a great semi gun get this and you'll be satisfied, shoots hard and is intimdating, just get a chrome 16 inch barrel and you'll be scaring everyone on the field

Nothing i hae used is too similar, it is rather unique.
Marker Setup: First gun, was all stock except for barrel, 14' barrel.
Recommended
Upgrades:
Nothing really, always a new barrel, large enough tank, barrel if you want.
Strengths: Great buy, great accuracy out of box, works with little maintance.
Weaknesses: Trigger does not allow for a high rate of fire. Heavy metal body
Review: Great buy for the money. Wether you want this for a back up or if you are new to the game. Not good for speed ball, upgrade trigger would be great but not easy to find for this brand. Bu a barrel if you choose to but not essential. Buy if you can find, but it is retired. Bring it back JT!
Conclusion: Great buy for begginer or back up.

Excellerator 3.0
Marker Setup: Excellerator 3.0 stock/ standard hopper/ usually 12 oz. co2 container

Upgrades:
e-hopper or HPA
Strengths: Reliable, accurate stock, easy maintenance, air pressure gauge (regulator?)
Weaknesses: Pull pin ring
Review: Of the bat, the ring that holds the pin in place is annoying. If you cock the bolt back, it can get in the way and just antagonize you. I just replaced that with one that i had from a tac 5 parts kit. Also, compared to the 3.0, its heavier because of its extension for the air pressure gauge. It's supposed to be a regulator, but it doesn't work very well.

The gun itself is rather accurate, even for me using a pre-owned gun. I bought a new bolt for it thats delrin, and it works okay in place of the old metal one, however it's not a needed upgrade. Might as well get a spyder acs bolt if you want a better anti-chop upgrade.

As far as upgrading goes, I would reccomend an e-hopper so you wont misfire or chop, because the gun can be as quick as your fingers, and probably HPA. Although, CO2 runs very well on the marker. Jt hasnt disapointed me with their stock barrels and bolts, so if you must, then thats personal preference.

One thing that does dissapoint me, is the lack of other upgrades without spending some money to permanently adjust your gun. i wanted an e-grip frame, and all spyder frames fit, but because the hammer bore is bigger than spyders, the frame wont fire. It will fit however but unless you cut the stock hammer a bit, the trigger wont work.
Conclusion: Great beginer gun and easy to maintain as long as you keep it oiled. I'll give it a good rating score because it truley is a reliable gun, and fun to use in any style paintball match.
