| The Trracer S/A takes advantage of the latest hi tech materials. This marker is made almost entirely of a custom aerospace polymer. Although from just a few feet away you cant tell its not metal, but in your hand you can tell it is not your basic plastic. This marker comes stock with many high end features found on tournament proven markers. First it has a very comfortable .45 double trigger frame, and the trigger pull is a very light and short 2 1/2lbs. The rotary safety lock witch is conveniently located for one handed operation, actually disengages the trigger. The adjustable sight suites it purposes well, but it also comes with a standard sight rail to upgrade. The rotary switch at the back end of theTrracer s/a releases the elliptic lock that lets you field strip without tools. This allows you to pull out the bolt and hammer assembly in one piece, very handy on the field. Speaking of the bolt it has a flush cocking design, this is the hottest new feature in bolt designs.Barrel is ported at the end. |

You really can't up grade the Trracer... A barrel is a good idea. i used my STS G3 barrel on it and it fired great. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
It is light
It does not chop very many balls... maybe 1-4 in a case.
Won't break down on you too often. I had to do minor repairs maybe 1 time.
Its ok on gas... not good... but not bad.
It can hit its mark pretty well. ( just as well as any spyder or Piranha.)
Silent for the most part.
Low cost
Medium trigger speed. 8-10 bps.
Small sizes makes it easy to tuck in real tight.
Aiming is easy... you can aim down the barrel.
Easiest gun to take apart i have ever seen!
|
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Plastic
Feels cheap
No real upgrades for the gun. You can get a remote and a new barrel, but thats about it.
Somtimes out of nowhere it will uncock and stay uncocked untill you un-gas it and then re-gas it. And that really stinks when you are in a fire fight and your gun jams... That means you = shot.
The bolts O-rings will get chewed up after a month or two... but it really did not seem to do anything to the guns performance, that kinda scared me.. hehe
But that is about it. Not too shabby.

 |
| Conclusion: |
A lower-avereage gun. Nice to have for non-tourny players. Easy to use and keep clean. Won't put a dent in your wallet. A nice gun for the money, but there are so many better guns out there. You should just have a lil patince and save your $$$ a bit and get a nicer gun, like a Tippy, PMI, Autococker, or a JT. |

I bought this gun, as well as a mask, tank, and other accessories for about 100 bucks. Great price. Though it's plastic, the body is pretty durable (though I can't say the same for the bolt :/ ). When you put the right barrel on this gun it fires very accurately. It's also light, balanced, etc etc. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
One problem I've faced with the Traccer S/A is its poor velocity. When I first recieved the gun, it was spiking from 160-220, but after some tinkering with the bolt (I think it was not perfectly aligned), it steadied somewhere around 200-230. I've emailed PMI for a new spring, and it made no difference. I've also put in a "premium extra heavy spyder spring", but that hasnt made too much of a change either. Do you know how to fix this problem? doodler85@yahoo.com - email me, please.
Also, one day on the field, I was letting my brother play with the Traccer, and the bolt snapped in half! The front end flew into the barrel, and required pliers to yank it out. However, within a week, PMI sent me a new one for free. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
This would be an excellent gun if I didnt not have the bolt/velocity problems. I've read a lot of good reviews, so I think I may have gotten a lemon. Oh well :/ |

| Review: |
I got this for my birthay last year. My parents payed almos 300 bucks! I played renagade with my friends and i'd haf to aim about 6 inches above at 20 feet. I went to p8ntball busters in red deer and it chronoed at 325! I would shoot at my friend at it wold splat 3 feet in front of him and he aimed dead on and gogged me. It is fairly ccurate once you get used to it, and if you turn the safty haff on and put a spacer between the top of the trigger and the grip frame, it shortens the trigger pull alot. Overall a good newb gun, but dont pay more then 100 bucks for it |
 |
| Conclusion: |
It shoots ok for a indoor feild, but on a big field you have to get close. Ok for woods because of the colour . id woldnt recomend it for anything besides a backup if your main gun craps out |

its a good gun for people that are just starting out in paintball. but i would just go with a piranha bl vf, its faster and way more upgradeable. THis gun was fun for a year but i had to sell it on ebay . i thought that it was good for a first gun but now im gettin a wgp 2k3 autococker and ill kick some a$$. |

not a bad gun for beginners or people that just want to mess around |

ummm get a new gun this is not an upgrade gun its a waste of money |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
- resembles a toy gun
- people get a good laugh
- cant snap the PLASTIC very easily
- you cant scuff it up
- pretty easy to field strip
|
 |
| Weaknesses: |
- doesnt shoot strait
-waste of money
-feels weird
- doesnt look like a real paintball gun
- not a snipering gun
-have to be 10 feet away to actually get a solid hit
- bad velocity
-no power-
you can actually try and dodge the paintball
we were playing a game of speed ball and i shot at one of my friends from about 30 feet away and he actually accidently caught the paintball in his hand w/o it exploding... shows you this guns maximum power huh? |
 |
| Conclusion: |
if u r just starting this is a decent gun but if you wanna be serious in paintballing start of with a spyder or tippman... this thing is not worth the money you might as well just bring a sling shot. |

chopps some balls- breaks a couple o-rings |

| Review: |
Great gun for a begginer/ semi-interemdiate. never had any major problems with it. Distance is fairly good. Played A game with it and a freind with a flatline, hit him the same amount of times and hes a little bit of a better player than me. Sometimes after to many shots in a row the gun will chop balls or the co2 pressure will drop. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
If u r starting out and want a great gun. BUY THIS GUN. never had any probs andits a good gun |

 |
| Strengths: |
cheap
cool looking kinda
quiet |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
plastic
bottomline leaks
barrel bad
origional sights suck |
 |
| Review: |
The bottomline is an easy fix so is the barrel but you shouldnt have to change that kind of stuff on a brand new marker. Its not to spendy and looks decently good for a plastic gun. the barrel is ok has a tendancy to break balls and is not acurate. The barrel is quiet though. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Buy a spyder instead there cheaper and better. This gun was a waste of my money it deserves a 5. |

 |
| Review: |
this is a great gun especially for the price. although it is plastic it will take abuse and still work. i dropped mine on the cement and all i got was a scrach that polished right out. this is the exact same gun as the blackmaxx except it was fixed (blackmaxx was recalled) and is now grey. paintballs curve sometimes after about 50 yards. go and get this gun. even if its not your primary gun it is still a great backup. if you want a new barrel it is threaded for spider barrels and for new springs any standard pmi hammer springs should work.some people say the o rings are flat but if you oil them well the will expand and fit your barrel. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
go and buy this gun for 50 bucks it is the best semi auto i can find. it is a 9 for its price range |

| Review: |
I got my traccer for 100 bucks with a mask, 9 oz tank, 200 round hopper and elbow. It was fun. I played in my friends back yard alot. Once my friends starte to get other, better guns like spyders than I realized that the gun isnt the greatest quality and they would make fun of me for it. I would always have truble with CO2 problems and always thought it was my tank. Some times the gun leaks and other times its perfect. When I went to a real field to play I rented a gun and said to my self that I was going to save up for a real gun. For beginners that barley play paintball I would give this a 8, you could spend 20 bux more and get a more reliable gun. For some one whose thinking about playing fields and getting in to the sport, dont be cheap, save up and buy something good, trust me, its worth it. |

| Conclusion: |
good for beginners, not so good for more advanced players |
