The power feed system guides the paint into the breech in such a way that there are three balls stacked on top of the bolt at all times. It also helps to correct inconsistencies in the feeding of paint from your loader. With three balls always stacked there, the weight on the ball feeding and the rate at which it feeds are always the same, making the marker more consistent. The kit includes the power feed port, the plug for the power feed, and the air-assist feed elbow which redirects the burst of air from the side of the gun down the elbow to help the paint feed faster. This is a modification that the Gun must be sent in to smartparts to be installed.
Product Availability
The Smart Parts Power Feed & Air Assist Kit is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Paintball
Experience:
More than 5 years
Marker Setup: '01 glow-in-the-dark shocker sport turbo, glacier AT board, 12" boomy, 12" freak, derlin bolt, and a ton of other stuff
Strengths: makes your gun look better
Weaknesses: everything
Review: 2 of my friends and i all got shockers a while ago. one o my friends that got one and i both got air assists. my friend started having trouble with it right off the bat so he took it out. i didnt have any trouble with mine till about 3 or 4 weeks later. every ball that fed into the feed tube stopped at the air assist. i pulled it out a little bit so it wouldnt stop the balls from feeding. that worked for a few games but it cept creeping back up. the next day durring a turney it happened again. i decided it wasnt worth the trouble and pulled it out of my gun in mid game.

Conclusion: the point of that story is that the air assist is deffinetly not worth it. i paid 18 for it at my local pro shop and even tho that is practically nothing, i regret doing it. i have heard many people say that an air assist works wonders, but i and all the people on my team that have ever had them have all thaken them out. i think the longest any of us have had them in for was about 6 weeks. if i were you i would not go to the trouble to get one.

None like it.
Marker Setup: I have a Shocker.... duh.
Strengths: I finally got my Shocker back with this installed. I went through about 500 rounds using it. It's an easy upgrade that makes a huge difference in the way your Shocker shoots. It allows paint in the powerfeed neck to be pushed down to the breech faster so there is less chance of a dry fire of the gun even when you shoot really fast. It also allows the gun to be fired tilted almost entirely on it's side. Almost as good as a warp, in fact, maybe better becuase it runs off your trigger pull and not vibration... literally!
Weaknesses: As stated below, some people don't already have the hole pre-tapped into the side of their gun. I did so it wasn't a problem for me. The only problem I can see is if you took a direct shot on the fitting. Although it looks like it would hold up against the shot.
Conclusion: It's an awesome product from an awesome company. If you are the type of person who likes to let loose on the trigger you'll love this. Keeps the balls flowing into the breech with slight pressure behind them. If you don't mind the price its definitly an upgrade worth buying.

There is nothing similar to this. Except for an Adrenaline Angel feed
Marker Setup: P/F w/ Air assist. 68ci CO2 Fibre Wrap, Stock 16 inch All-American, CP 12 inch one-piece, Vert. Reg Mount, Smart Parts Drop Forward, Blade Trigger(Custom made by yours truely), 12volt Turbo-revolution, Blue Splash if that has any affect :) After review, a Glacier board was installed.
Strengths: For anyone how shoots those wierd angles that a revy doesn't work in and you're too shrewed to buy a warpy, this is for you. First and foremost, it lets you shoot at the speed you wanna shoot at. Before, I could outshoot my revy fairly easily, but now my gun can take the slack up. Second, it's cool. People know that you know your stuff with this. Almost like an intimidation fast. Third and final, it's easy to install. Unscrew the standard feed tube, screw in the Powerfeed, plug the air assist tube in, and put the elbow on. It took me less than 5 minutes, and the results were phenomial.
Weaknesses: Kinda hard to find. I finally found one at 888-paintball tho. Seems a little expensive if you really think about it. It's an elbow and a tube
Conclusion: I'd recommend this to anyone with a shocker because it is a great way to improve performance without breaking your wallet or your hands trying to install it.

Paintball
Experience:

Strengths: iv used it sense day 1 on my shocker except for one time because the little fitting that screws into the elbow ripped out i could tell the difference w/o it if i need to shoot out the left i dont change hands i just lean the gun to the left and keep shooting with my right (with the gun angled) and the balls feed perfectly, when i didnt have the air assist on the gun and tryed this i skipped etc
Weaknesses: the fitting that screws into the elbow ripped out but thats because my powerfeed came loose and tryed to unscrew but a little bit of lock tight fixed that
Conclusion: get one if you have the money they are quite expensive though for what it is, i didnt really like the elbow that came with it so i bought an aci elbow and just drilled and tapped it and used that (also when i drilled tapped the aci elbow i made the fitting that goes into the elbow at more of an angle than it was on the elbow it came with so it works even better now when it comes to working etc ill give it a 10 but because of the little thing that happend with the fitting ripping out and thepowerfeed comming loose ill give it a 9

Strengths: this product isnt an alternative to the 12v. its a way to keep your paint feeding. you can fire at any angle and it will still feed.
Weaknesses: a tad expensive but you get what you pay for.
Conclusion: ive never seen a shocker owner or any other high end gun owner that didnt have a revvy. this will keep the paint stacked and it can be a very useful upgrade.

Adrenalin Angel Air assist mod
custom air assists on vert feed shockers
custom air assists on sandridge cocker
just basically customizing guns to run air assist
Marker Setup: Hyper sport works shocker SL. Blue with anti-freeze green flames, back block milling, powerfeed w/ air assist, hyper grip double trigger, dye sticky grips, hyp' air foregrip, max-flow 88 4500, kapp drop zone 2 chromed, blue and green high flow shocker hose, delerin bolt, eclipse rockit pistion, eclipse anti-spike popit, 14 inch all american freak system, 12 inch dye boomstick, 16 inch titainium series boomstick, custom animal paintball tank cover, blue with anti-freeze green flames, blue turbo rev, blue ricochet 2k, both have green flame stickers.
Strengths: Another breaktrogh inovation from smart parts, what eles is new. This is the company that brought you rifle porting on barrels, the first electro pneumatic paintball gun, TURBO mode, max-flo(one of the best compressed air systems on the market today) and more. This mod, when placed onto your shocker, will allow it to feed a bit faster and more reliably at wierd angles when you need it. I mean doesn't it just $u(k when you go to bunker someone and fire not one, not two, but three shots, and he lives, not hit by any one of them, you ask the martial and he says you dry fired. This will fix that.
Weaknesses: I don't believe all shockers have the hole for this pre-drilled if this is the case you will have to send SP your gun or try to tap it yourself.
Conclusion: same as the good.
