Spyder e-99-----its electronic so i would say it is a litter better, yet also more expensive
Marker Setup: a Kingman spyder e99 stock with a 16 in 32* nyte stikk barrel and a 12 volt hopper with x-board, 20 ounce co2 tank and smart parts on/off valve......................soon to have regulator, shocktech superfly delrin bolt, new drop foward and guage
Recommended
Upgrades:
in this order
1.) expansion chamber with steel braided hose
2.) new barrel
3.)new bolt
4.)regulator
5.)drop foward
Strengths: -dependable
-cheap
-accurate
see review below
Weaknesses: -no expansion chamber
see review below
Review: all in all i would say very good gun.......it does not come with a lot on it though and it must be upgraded a lot..........

The good......

-does not chop a lot of balls
-all o-rings are bottle o-rings
-pretty quite
-shoots decently fast
-powerfeed
-double trigger

the bad...........

-no expansion chamber
-the grip sucks, but a minor problem
-seemed to hog co2
-does not perform well in cold weather to my experience
-it feild strips very easy, but to put it back together you have to have an allen wrench and unscree the handle halway?????????doesn'take any sense...well they do say easy to disassemble it does not say anyhting about reassembling
Conclusion: it is a great gun, worked great for a year, it shoots fast and hard, i shot a paintball clean through a popcan when it was turned up all the way. a pretty sweet marker...it can be intimidating because no one has hered of it.. a great buy but i would go with a spyder xtra for the price

Brass Eagle Products (crap)
Tippman 98 Custom w/ aftermarket barrel (ok)
Piranha G2 Pro w/ aftermarket barrel (wish it was mine)
Marker Setup: First Gen Enigma BTL (not the E-2 Model) w/ Smart Parts Tear Drop Barrel, Psychoballistics Bullet Drop Forward, and Palmer Pursuit Stabilizer. 20oz CO2 tank.
Recommended
Upgrades:
Regulator (Palmer Pursuit Stabilizer is the best)
Aftermarket Barrel (the stock barrel is pretty awsome though)
Drop Forward or Remote System (the tank sticks out way too much for my preference)
Strengths: Reliable, Consistent, Lightweight, Easy Field Stripping/Cleaning, Uses Mostly Tank O-Rings.
Weaknesses: None that I can think of...
Review: This is probably the last marker I will ever own. It is simple in design yet efficient. Easy to upgrade, and once upgraded it becomes a killing machine. With my upgrades, this beast fires very accurately and consistently. The stock barrel shoots very accurate at close to mid range. it's quiet, and ported like the dye boomstick. i guess that's why they call the stock barrel the "doomstick." All essential O-Rings are tank rings! 2 tank rings on the bolt, one on the striker, 2 for the valve, one for the volumizer, one for the VTL adapter, and one for the Microline to VTL adapter. my friend with the piranha pro likes my gun a lot. but i like his a lot, i just didn't want to spend $300 on a gun, and would rather have a gun that performs for much less of a price. this gun may seem intimidating to others because many people have not heard of it. "what is that?" "oh it's an enigma." "is that like a spyder?" "not quite..."
Conclusion: Buy it, give it a try. if you're new to paintball and looking for a marker to buy, you'll appreciate it's simple design. if you own a tippman or spyder, you'll appreciate it's reliability and efficiency.

m98- the tippman is a good gun but i think this one is a little better because the tippman has a shorter barrel, no powerfeed,no low pressure chamber and the tippman is loud and heavy
Marker Setup: enigma btl expansion chamber and 18 inch stone cold 2 barrel
Recommended
Upgrades:
expansion chamber and possibly a new barrel, also try to get a red dot site helps out a lot if your playing paintball in the woods or if your a backfield player
Strengths: it is light, shoots hard, not too loud, above average stock barrel, looks sweet, can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger
Weaknesses: well inless you get an expansion chamber try not to shoot as fast as you can for more than about 2 or 3 seconds cause liquid co2 will get in the gun and crystalize but if you get an expansion chamber no problem.
Conclusion: all in all a great gun i would recomend it to anyone but the first thing i would do it get an expansion chamber then a barrel. this is a great gun get it

Marker Setup: Enigma BTL, Tricked. Old school bob long air expansion chamber, psychoballistics drop forward in electric purple, Shortened steel braided bottom line, Pressure gauge, Different barrels, Many others.
Recommended
Upgrades:
It's awesome right out of the box, but the air expansion chamber does a lot for it. It quiets the gun down. Not sure how. Also, change the microline setup to a steel braided. It does the filter system better.
Strengths: This gun was amazing the day I bought it. For my first gun of my OWN, It was amazing. It still kicks serious rear on the field. Since I bought my gun, I've tricked it out a little and i'm continuing it. It's so worth upgrading! It's a sweet looking gun, but it packs a serious punch. at 300 fps, (tournament regulation) it flatlines and the ball does not curve, and doesn't even flinch at going 100 yards, and more. Because they are a small company, they don't get much recognition. It's cool walking onto a field and people are intimidated (slightly) because they don't know what your gun will do.
Weaknesses: When I first got the gun, the microline setup leaked at the 45* angle. I changed it to a steel braided hose and NO problem. At first the field strip pin was a little OVER reactive. I pulled the pin, and everything came flying out. Terrible. It desperately needed oil by the time I got it. But once I oiled it it was fine. IF ANYTHING::: DO NOT USE THE PINK RPS balls!! They do nothing but explode at 300 fps. Terrible. The best to use is Nitroduck.
The barrel is good, and it performs well. use barrel polish on it and you will be fine. Turtle wax does the same thing.
Conclusion: All in all, this gun is worth the price i've paid for it. I may have added some upgrades, but I didn't even have to. The gun is worth it by itself. I would recommend this over any Spyder or Pirahna. This gun far out performs the spyders, even though they are almost identical. The interiors are different. Be sure to keep it lubed, especially the Striker O ring, because the EXC's are known to blow quick.
