The Component Concepts Inc. Carbon Fiber Barrel is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

CCI's Carbon Fiber Barrel for the Phantom is an excellent barrel. I got mine from the second run, the one that ended last week. (9-21-03, the date I'm writing this) I absolutly love the barrel. There are a few differnces from the stock barrel. The carbon fiber is lighter, looks better, quieter, and has a smaller bore than the stock barrel. Performance wise, they shoot about the same. From 50 feet away, shooting around 260 fps, and using some kind of white box paint, which was probably about .686 caliber, I had about a 2 inch grouping. It shot balls one on top of the other. The barrel's beginning is .687, but it's tapered, so it ends at .693. The stock barrel can do the exact same thing, only the carbon fiber barrel looks cooler. If CCI still made them, you should get one. But they don't anymore. If they do decide to make anymore, get one.
Conclusion:
Best Phantom barrel, hands down. it shoots just as good as any other barrel for it, and it looks really cool. The picture on the page does it injustice, especially since the 2'd run had a silver back and a silver muzzle, not black and white like in the picture. Like I said, get one if you can.

Review:
I managed to find someone that was willing to part with there carbon fiber barrel so I jumped on it. I am very pleased with my purchase of this barrel, it was expensive but worth every penny.
First off it is light, it weighs about the same as the stock CCI barrel for the Phantom. Most important it is very accurate, I didnt have a single problem hitting what I wanted to hit with just one round. It is also very quite, I had a lot of people telling me how little noise it makes through out the day.
Not a big issue for me but to some it is important, this barrel looks great. It has a look all of its own and is just sweet as could be.
The only bad thng is how hard they are to come by these days, and when found the premium they command. Not a cheap barrel to buy by any means if you can find someone willing to let it go.
Conclusion:
I wish I could say more about the barrel but there isnt much more to say other than it is:
ACCURATE
QUITE
LIGHT
LOOKS GREAT
cci phantom vsc
right feed breech
t-stock
11 inch barrel
14 inch carbon fiber barrel
Recommended Paintballs:
i was using proball perfectly fine through the barrel last weekend.
Strengths:
hoots straight
-No ball breaks
-awesome looks
-Quiet
-Not pickey about paint, if something does roll out use some detent rings
-rarity (1 of 23)
-Made by CCI
The stainless bases are .686 The CF tubes start at .687" and taper to .691" at the muzzle break
Weaknesses:
When I got it the stainless steel back wouldn't fit through the pump handle but I shaved it down and now it fits.
The tool to make them was thrown out by the guy making the carbon fiber tubes after 23.
Conclusion:
Great barrel. Great quality you come to expect from CCI. Unfortunately these barrels will probably never be made again by Mike. If they are I suggest you get one when they do come out.
