my frineds raptor: silver eagle
Marker Setup: PMI Piranha EXT, stock

Upgrades:
I am going to buy a double finger grip for this gunn soon.
Strengths: Well, compared to the Avenger, this gun is 6x better.. i dont think i have to explain that though..
um, if you use good paint (not brass eagle) then it should be really good. Using this kind of paint (slips the mind now, but its blue) i have yet to break, A single ball!!
using other paint though, ive roken the odd ball.
the barrel is awsome, 13 pusuit.. it is very acurate, and the spiral "rifling" of the air holes helps i think.
it all comes apart very quickly withou tools, and it is a very nice gun to clean, because its so easy.
thats mostly all that i can think of, but it has so many upgrade possibilitys too.
overall, awsome gun.. way better then the avenger, and a fair deal better then the raptor silver eagle and 98 custom..
my frineds raptor has a new barrel an stuf, yet my stock EXT shoots farther, more acuratly, and probably faster too.
Weaknesses: um, my co2 keeps on coming loose, and i constintly have to screw it back in, but thats probably just the way i screw it in..
great gun!
Conclusion: Great gun, i recomend for anybody who doesnt want to spend 2 grand and still have a sweet gun.
its better then most guns that i play against..
*very quick to clean
*acurate, even with stock parts
*pretty light
*quick*with good paint, not ONE ball has broken in the gun... count em, not one ball (plently have broken with BE paint though
*stop reading this, go buy one
*i gave it a 10, cause with the price and upgradeablitly, it kicks
*better then most other mid-price semis... actually, better then all mid-semis ive seen

Upgrades:
It is an overall good gun stock, I recommend a new trigger and a new grip, not necessarily a new frame unless you want. A new barrel would be good. A new bolt also to decrease ball breakage.
Strengths: It is a pretty consistant gun, ok after time you develop pretty good accuracy. If you add an expansion chamber it helps its consistancy. It is a good weight, and is a nice gun for a smaller player.
Weaknesses: When I first got it I took off the trigger to examine. After hooking it back on it was sort of broken. After I fired I needed to push the trigger forward before firing again. After time I figured out the problem and I think I fixed it. Besides that there isnt much wrong with it.
Conclusion: An overall good gun for a new to intermediate player. I recommend this gun to any player who is looking for a decent gun.

I have use my friends Kingman Spyder SE and Kingman Spyter Xtra, and the Kingman Spyder TL, and none of them compare to this PMI Pirahna EXT.
Marker Setup: I have the PMI Pirahna EXT , with a 32 degrees carbon fiber barrel, and remote so i don't have the tank attached directly to my gun, wich make ot much lighter.
Recommended
Upgrades:
You should definetly upgrade it with a New upgraded barrel, and a low pressure chamber!
Strengths: Everything, it seldom brakes balls, and when it dies it's because of bad paint or my velocity is too high, and it looks great with the splash, and is extremely accurate from close range, but not as much from a far. But my 32 degrees carbon fiber barrel solved that time, and it's not too piscy for this gun either, and is worth every penny! And the easy field strip pin makes it wonderful to strip if you break an O-Ring while playing at a field or in the woods.
Weaknesses: Nothing really except that if you have bad paint it chops balls, and hos no low pressure chamber wich can be easily added.
Conclusion: This is a very good gone, and is worth it for the money since i got it for only $149.99, they have extremely low prices, go there for all your paintball needs.Well it's a good gun and i recommend it to anyone who is just starting, or going to get serious about the sport.

Strengths: I have the Black and Chrome model. I originally ordered the STS G2 Titanium but they were back ordered. The gun is great it looks cool and easily worked on. This is my first time buying a gun and I never worked on one before, and this one was easy. I changed the springs, took off the trigger, replaced the barrel, and added a 6 Chamber expansion chamber all within 15 minutes. Now that I know what I'm doing I could do it in less then 5. All my buds bought the Custom 98, but I can't stand what the gun looked like and Piranha had alot of modifications that I would have had to get done to the 98 like rear cocker, velocity adjuster, double trigger. etc.
Weaknesses: I thought parts would be hard to find but most Spyder and Rebel parts fit it. Only thing I need is a Drop forward and that won't change how good the gun is already. I replaced the barrel, nothing special I got the J&J ceramic 14" was debating on the 32 degrees Sniper anyone ever try that barrel ?
Conclusion: The gun is great, it performs very well and not too bad pricewise.

Does it perform well stock or are upgrades nessecary?
* It performs great stock, the mods I did was just because I wanted to pimp it out a bit. :)

Is it worth how much it costs?
* I think so, but what the hell do I know.

How does it compare to similar guns?
* I used a Tippman 68 and 98 and they don't compare. This one is better.

Would you reccommend it to someone?
* Definately buy it. In fact don't buy it I wanna be the only one on the field with it !!!

Strengths: this is my first pball gun. For a beginner it is a perfect gun, it has decent accuracy, but nothin to faint over. And i think that it is also very easy to clean, all u do is push the pin out, and then pull the cocking mechanism out.
Weaknesses: breaks balls. I have a serious problem w/ ball breaking, but only w/the stock, i got a JJ ceramic, and Lapco BS, they both make this gun alot better. The only real problem is the stock barrel.
Conclusion: A very good gun for a starting player. Durable. It may be a bit expensive, but not much. If u r some one who's been playing for awhile, get a different gun. If u are serious.

Strengths: I have the black and chrome ext and it looks very sharp, it also shoots very well with the red spring that comes with it. I didn't even know I had it until I went to through the box away and found the parts bag. With the new spring it shoots much better, straight out of the box it is a good gun for a newbe or for back up. It's my primary right now but that's because I'm poor. The bolt is very good in my opinion.
Weaknesses: Just as with almost any gun you need to replace the stock barrell. I have a J&J Cermic and it makes the gun 10 x better. Needs an expantion pack to really scream but other than that, it's great.
Conclusion: I'm just starting but it's the best I've had yet.

Strengths: I bought my gun in december '01 and i havent any trouble out of it, except my gun shredded balls but my velocity was up to high. Partly the reason for the ball breakage was because of the balls i was using. I was using pmi superswirls my dad also had troubke out of the balls. The ball tends to curve sometimes but only long rang close range the gun is very, very accurate.
Weaknesses: The only thing bad about this gun is the breakage and curving which is only a problem with the accessories not the gun.
Conclusion: I paid $170 for my gun alone brand new and it was worth every dollar. The gun is great for the recxreational player and the weekend player. This gun peforms well but could use a longer barrel. For this price this gun is the cadillac of guns. I would reccomend this gun to anyone wanting to play paintball for fun and recreation.

Strengths: it is a great gun but u need an after market barrel if u shoot really fast like me the balls will swirve i have really upgraded mine and spent alot of money doin it i bout the gun bout a year ago then i bout a 9 volt hopper booh yaah elcd grip shocktech drop forward the reason i bout the drop forward was wen i bout my new grip the bottom line was not long enough plus it looks kewl i also bought a 16 inch boomstick very quite
Weaknesses: nuthin really bad but the ball swirving thing and if u get a nother barrel u dont have to worry bout that
Conclusion: it will be a good starter gun then as u get into the game more u want have to buy another high price gun just upgrade it and the autococker have the most up grades available great gun!!!!!!!!!!!

Strengths: This gun performes well and looks great. It will turn a few heads, but at the same time it has performance to match. I like the stock nickle impregnated barrel, it works well. The upgraded starfire bolt is great(better than starting off with a sucky bolt). The quick strip feature is nice. It doesn't break balls bad. I don't know what that guy with breakage problems was smoking. I have shot provbably 2000 or more balls out of mine, usually cheap ones, and i have broken less than half a dozen balls, probably 3-4. I know that is hard to believe, but it is true
Weaknesses: I have had a some problems with the trigger, but that was lack of lube. The only thing that keeps it from being a 10 is its lack of a low pressure chamber, since it is not to cheap to put one on(you have to replace the corner peace and the add the lp chamber) The new exts solved this problem, but a friend has one and it breaks balls and doesn't seem to perform as good as mine go figure that one???
Conclusion: I suggest this gun to anyone who is looking for a mid grade semi. It is a gun that you don't have to add a bolt there, and add an expansion chamber here. I am buying a new gun, but that is just because I am looking at playing on a team that has better fire power (Ans cockers, sto cockers, decked out mags, and an impulse). The Ext is agreat gun for recreational and lower level tournament play.

Strengths: This gun is reliable, ive been preaty ruff with mine, but it still works fine. It is also very easy to clean. It is also very accurate with just the stock barrel.
Weaknesses: There are a few problems that i have seen with this gun. One is that it requirea alot of oil, if its not oiled every time it jams up. I also have had lots of ball breaks, upgraded barrels seem to work wors then the stock barrel.
Conclusion: This gun is very good straight out of the box. The stock barrel is the best that ive found. The gun is very reliable and a good semi-auto for a beginer. It is worth every penny. Compared to the spider, it actually isnt to extremely different, other than itworks better in stock form. This would be a good buy for any beginer looking for a semi-auto.
