Marker Setup: '04 Eclipse impulse w/ Vision
-Cp reg and new lpr (a must)
-12v Revvy (egg soon)
-Evil Pipe Kit (godly)
-3k psi 47 ci crossifre (only 45 bucks new, why spend more?)
Recommended
Upgrades:
-new reg a must (crappy stock, heavy, bulky smart parts reg blows)
-maybe lpr
-at minimum a revvy
-new barrel (pipe kits, stiffys, scepters are good, freaks are OVERRATED)
Strengths: See review
Weaknesses: See review
Review: Okay. I just bought this baby recently and great. It obviously doesn't recieve an amazing cus it aint nothin compared to dm4s, etc, but it is still very very very good, especially for $350 i got it for and its only 4-5 months old.

~Fuerzas (para those who no habla espanol: STRENGTHS)~

-looks very good, good milling/annodizing, even though mine doesnt have a fade stiill looks awesome, the faded ones are sick (mine is the blue one in the pics)
-sick trigger, fast if ure good at blades
-vision eye goes 20 bps and works effectively 99% of the time (see weaknesses)
-decently lightweight
-FAST
-smart parts quality and eclipse quality combined
-good for back or front, fun to play in rec ball (its funny bein surrounded my tippys when u have an impy: "OMG u are so good, HOW much did it cost!!??!!??-dam noob questions )
-Doesnt break balls unless u dont know how to treat a vision
-operates at a low psi = lot of shots
-no fsdo prob like normal impys
-good adjustable feed neck

~Debilidades (guess what this means!)~

-reg is so heavy and bulky, scrap it and get a cp or dye reg or w/e (lpr is handy too)
-a little high (not hard to deal with though)
-okay, quick story, when i 1st got it from some1, he was like "the gun is supposed to shoot even with the vision eye on" and i thought that couldnt be rite (he didnt even know what blinking signal meant vision, he said it was the double, not the repetative blinking). SO i went home and me and my bud kept tryin to fix the vision eye cus it definately aint supposed to dry fire when the vision is on. so after playin around with it a while and cleanin the eye i put my hand over the feed neck to block out the sunlight and GUESS WHAT? It worked. The vision got screwed cus od the sunlight and it reflected off my blue gun into the eys and thought it was a ball!!! Weird. So i just swapped my clear revvy shell with my buds old dark style shell (hard as a rock) and viola, works like magic. The vision i only screwed up within the sunlight, not like lightbulbs or anythin so a clear hopper would prob be fine in rec ball. SO it works like magic now and im very happy. Just make sure the vision eye doent get dirty cus itll screw up in the sunlight!!
Conclusion: a whopper of a gun, very good for its generous price, obviously a good buy. Better than a norm impy and the norm are sick too. Fast and reliable, ill be stickin with it for a while. Just trash the old bulky reg and try to get one with a sick fade (mine only is blue ;() Can compete with higher level guns and owns noobs

Review: Beautiful Gold to Black anodizing job on the gun. Very light and easy to strip...easy gun to handle while in the field. I love the blade trigger...in my opinion it is the best trigger out there. The size takes awhile to get used to, the gun for me is a little bit higher than how my cocker used to be..so that was the only problem that i have ever had with it. This gun is easy to take care of!! very reliable, never once had a problem with it...
Conclusion: Overall a very well built gun. Very durable for those front players who like to slide hard into bunkers. I personally would take this gun over an angel any day. It is not only cheaper but more accurate. Gun has a very fast and smooth rate of fire with very little/almost no kick at all. ( how many paintballs do you really need to shoot per second? it only takes one to get someone out.) I have broke paint in this gun one time in the last two years, and it was probably my own fault for it breaking (picked up paint off the ground to show someone how fast it could shoot) This gun will take you awhile to get used to if your not used to guns like this. For me from going to an Autococker to getting this beauty it took me a few games to get used to. After you get used to this gun, you will be pleased with the results. I recommend this gun to anyone and everyone.

I own a 2001 Shocker with a Demonic trigger (sweet), A 2001 Planet Eclipse Aurora finish Shocker (words can't explain how pretty it is!!) and a Planet Eclipse Vision Impulse. I have also owned a customized cocker and an Extreem Angel (system x)
Marker Setup: Shocker with a demonic trigger and an 88ci Maxflo reg, freak barrel and a ricochet loader, Planet Eclipse Shocker with Eclipse reg and 88ci crossfire tank, freak barrel and ricochet loader, and a Planet Eclipse Vision Impulse with a verticle maxflo and a 68ci crossfire tank, freak barrel and a ricochet loader.
Recommended
Upgrades:
I wouldn't change a thing
Strengths: The milling is incredible, my favorite part is they milled the sight rail into the body. The milling also makes this gun really light weight only 2.6 pounds. The trigger is smooth, short with no slop which in turn makes it really really fast. Eclipse includes the Freak Barrel with this gun. Those of you that are not famaliar with the freak system it is one of the most accurate barrels money can buy. Maintenance is easy. Field strippable in seconds. The Maxflo reg allows for superior consistancy. I consistantly chrono around 268 to 275 with no spikes.
Weaknesses: The only bad thing is if the Vision Eye gets dirty, it will read it as a ball in the breach which may allow you to chop a ball. Make sure your eye is clean.
Conclusion: I LOVE THIS GUN, BUT,This is a very high end gun and it is not for everyone. Please go to a local dealer and let them and their experience help you decide on a gun for you. Folks, if we the players don't support our local stores/fields they will not be here.

Strengths: I just received my Eclipse Impulse for my anniversary. This marker is completely outstanding. I have a freak barrel system on it and I had 1 ball break all evening, however I didn't stop action to squeegee. It shot just as well after the break. NO STOPPING, MYSELF OR THE MARKER. 14 BPS is not to shabby either. After player with it at our field Northeast Paintball Indoor, we had half of the customer's in line wanting to buy it. It is also extremely light weight. 2.6 pounds with out the barrel and hopper.
I have played with an Angel Adrenaline, and as far as accuracy and weight, because I need something very light weight, I find myself leaning towards the Eclipse Impulse.
It is a superb marker for the price and I highly recommend it.
A+
Weaknesses: Nothing so far as I can tell.
Conclusion: Conclusion,

Stock is great right out of the box, upgrades will just make it unstoppable. For the cost it is a great deal. The marker will definitely hold it's own in the field of the super semi.

I highly recommend.

I have shot a couple of Angels (Dark, Dye, Normal WDP). I would say that the Eclipse Impulse is more accurate than any Angel I have ever shot, and that is shooting CO2.
Marker Setup: I just got it so my list of upgrades is pretty limited. Eclipse Impulse with Vision, Delrin bolt, 12 volt revy. Bottom line, 20 oz. CO2. Freak barrel.
Recommended
Upgrades:
12 volt revy (preferrably with Xboard or Turborev), Delrin Bolt, drop forward, nitro not necessary, but helpful.
Strengths: It had amazing consistancy. The velocity was +/- 3-4 each shot over the crony. It has an icredible rate of fire. Just as fast as and Angel and it is adjustable. Maxflow regulator was stock. That in my opinion is the best regulator available. It was very accurate. Not too loud. It is lighter than my Tippmann Model 98.
Weaknesses: I would prefer a different sort of switch to turn the vision on and off. I turned it off once in a game and chopped paint. That is a minor problem though. Trigger was extremely light. This is my first electro gun, so this is part of the learning curve. I have shot on accident a few times. This just shows the importance of a good barrel plug. These problems are all pretty small and are mostly my problem, not the Impulse.
Conclusion: Well, it is accurate, shoots fast, excellent tourney gun and just all around a good deal. Cheaper than an Angel, shoots as fast and more accurately.

I have used an eclipse bushy, eclipse shocker, all angel's, and most electronic guns... shocker doesnt even compare to this gun,,, this gun kicks @$$...

I own this and a Mark-II Cocker
Marker Setup: Ok so i have an eclipse impulse, 12" Freak kit, Eclipse DF, and a dynaflow 68/45 tank on it... people say this is a gas hog, but it definitly isnt for me, i played a whole tournament a week ago and only had to refill once..!
Recommended
Upgrades:
Def get a new barrel... make sure u have a revy, ur gonna need it...
Strengths: where do i start, the gun has an amazing ROF... VERY accurate, very smooth...
This looks like a front player's gun, but im a fat back player :) and i was pickin off an average of 3 heads a game with this sick gun.. i highly recommend it...
Weaknesses: Well the ONLY thing i can think of is that if the eye gets dirty it can pick up on things u dont want to happen... (e.g like chop a ball )...
i had some problems with my eye at last tourney, we were shootin team colors (god knows why), and for some reason the eye wouldnt pick up on it, (coulda been since i didnt clean my gun in like 2 months :) so i had to go with the day without the eye, but even without it, i broke like 2 balls the whole day... and this is with crappy paint and a dirty gun...
Conclusion: awsome gun, i would take this over an angel/shocker/etc anyday...
get it now

Review: Alright, sweet gun my favorite impulse. looks great works great. has great internals, freak barrel, blade trigger, vert max-flo, D.A.R.T. delrin bolt. it is a little heavier than other guns, but that doesn't bother me. it's also a little bigger, but it's fine for most players. it shoots at a very good rof, and if you need a new board you can get one. it has great accuracy, consistancy, efficiancy and is an all-around great gun.

Thinking of other guns in the price range, first thing to pop into my mind is an 03 shocker. i think if you buy the eclipse impy, you will find much better performance and reliability. the 03 shocker was a great idea, but it didn't come out perfect.
Conclusion: Great gun for the money. i give it a 9

a good nitro system suposedly insn't a must, but doesn't any good gun deserve one.
Strengths: Nice trigger for snap shots. Raining paint is pretty good too. Same trigger as on the shocker and bushy so I have had extensive expirence with that. The gun itself I do not yet own. My team and I have been focussing on preparing for the upcoming tournement season, only 3-4 weeks till it starts, oh the pressure.
The accuracy is similar to the shocker. Vertical max-flo is alot less bulky than the one on the shocker. The eclipse solenoid optimizer is very useful in the fact that it helps to allow dry firing, prevent bolt stick, and prevent the valve from starving the solenoids of air. Vision is nice, HELPS to prevent chopped paint, unlike the ads say you should probably still keep your squeegee, anything can happen. At "tournement angels," as I call them, where you lean the gun almost sideways to get the key shot off, theres gonna be a posiblity. A oversized ball, a spike in pressure, unlikely with the reg, and probably wont cjop paint, but if it happens on a super-britle peice of tournement paint, you never know. The vision helps none the less though. In my testing I expirenced no chopped paint, but I have had similar expirences with both my sandrige F5 and Racegun cockers, which have vision. Color of paint can reportadly become a problem, although I have yet to expirence it with any of my guns.
Weaknesses: The front valve cap/maximizer thing is a bit ugly in my oppinion, but easily fixed. The gun no longer comes in splash I thionk, infavor of some of the new fade colors, which are nice, but I miss the eclipse splash.
Conclusion: Another job well done from eclipse. I have yet to see an eclipse gun I didn't like. I really like their work over there. I hope eclipse would make a matrix, that would be great. The only thing I dislike about eclipse is the limeted nature of there products, I have manged to get a hold of one, but for some people it is probably not easy. Especially the infamous Eclipse Angel LED, one of the best guns ever created, but production of this supergun ceased so quickly only the luckiest few could get ahold of one. I was lucky enough to get one.

Ive used a stock bushy and a stock impulse.... and the eclipse vision impulse is 10 times better... also used angel, as of right now, i am taking the impulse over an angel
Marker Setup: 12" Freak, 68/4500 Dynaflow with eclipse dropforward
Recommended
Upgrades:
New barrel, new bolt,
Strengths: Well, i have this gun for about a month and played with it a couple times, and i really have fallen in love with it. I played today and used my 12" Freak with the green .691 insert, and used marbs... set the vision and loaded up,... today i got about 15 ppl out over about 8-10 games, (5 vs. 5)...
The gun is very accurate and has good range, its quiet and i think it is light...
very fast ROF, and you will never chop a ball..
i had only one break today, but thats cause i broke a ball in my tube so screwed up that whole hopper's worth..
Weaknesses: only thing i can think of is gettin used to the shape, my last gun (still have it) Was a mark-II Cocker and it is a lot diffrent setup than this.. took be about a game or two to get used too, and after that i was getting soooo many ppl out...
i really like this gun..
Conclusion: ok, if you are looking for a new gun and currently own one, GET this... i personally would take this over other angels (i can shoot this a lot better with/out chopping/breaking balls).. the vision rules and the blade trigger Kicks..
another great job by Eclipse!!

Strengths: Just had mine last week and o' boy it's sweet! It is a vision with magma fade. When I was thinking which is the best gun for me I compared angel and matrix but I ended up with this one. It has a super low operational pressure, and I think it virtually impossible to chop or even break a ball inside a barrel (I got a Freak deluxe with my eclipse). It has much better gas efficiency than for example in matrix. I use mine with centerflag 4500, 88. I'm a backplayer and it is easily enough. I think it is impossible to say which is the best gun, everyone praise their own of course, but I love my eclipse and I think it's the best gun for me!
Weaknesses: hmm...price of course compared to the original..but then again compared to the angel...
Conclusion: I actually said quite alot in "good" but I really recommend this gun to everyone who is playing tourneys.
