Strengths: price, Shoots good, and accuracy is good.
Weaknesses: hard to field strip.
Review: this is an overall greeat gun for a beginner iseing a semi-automatic, but if you are going higher in paintball get another gun and use it for your backup gun. The only thing wrong with this marker is that it takes some timeto feild strip. All older viewloader guns are harder to fieldstrip.
Conclusion: great gun to buy

Upgrades:
x-chamber, vertical adapter, barrel perhaps but not neccessary
Strengths: Accuracy from 80 feet (20 yards) was pretty good, I was able to pistol shoot the marker and hit my target, a 3-litre bottle, 8/10 times in a fast shoot.

The trigger wasn't bad, not like high-end guns, but still was pretty good and I was able to crank 7bps out of the gun but mind you that with a Matrix I am only able to put out 9bps so I'm not a very fast shooter. A fast shoot could probably dump 9bps-10bps

Weaknesses: Nothing that I could note
Conclusion: This is overall a very solid gun, well worth the cost. I had a remanufactured one though. I would like to address range and accuracy-

Range is purely determined by weight of the projectile and the speed at which is exits the muzzle and wind against it (gravity is almost constant at any elevation although it affects long-range ballistics but more in temperature than anything else).

Accuracy is determine by the ball, the barrel, and the match. The stock barrel is pretty good and don't see a real need to change it unless you are intent on juicing every ounce of preformance out of this gun. The paint-to-bore match may have been poor and even if it was good, if the paint was poor quality if doesn't matter how good the match is.

This gun is well worth $100.00, maybe even a bit more and it can be upgraded with Spyder parts I believe although I am not sure.

Upgrades:
hmm, none really...are there even any? x-chamber would be kinda nice
Strengths: accurate
not crappy like most be guns
fairly fast for an entry level gun
smooth
double triggers are nice, I know, I'm kinda low-tech
Weaknesses: nothing I could really find, might want a new barrel, but even then, the stock one ain't a bad barrel. I was suprised after the Genesis series; isn't the Tritaj the same darn thing, so shouldn't it have the same score as this one?
Conclusion: get this gun, it's grat
the guy below me doesn't have an idea on what he's talking about (I don't get it, it shoots a 300, same range as any other gun, and just as hard, unless you have a flatline)

New barrel. Thats about it.
Strengths: Cheap, shoots pretty good for low end markers.
Weaknesses: Very slow to field strip, need to fix it alot.
Review: The revelation is nice for a cheap gun. I started with a blade, so it is nice to have a gun that works occationally. However, it does break alot. I got it used, and i have had to take it apart several times already. Not a big pain once you get the gun figured out, but for the first week the gun is really annoying. Also, to clean the bolt and stuff the gun has to be taken completely apart. This takes a couple of minuites to strip and clean. I like the strip pins on the maurader that make cleaning really easy. However, the revelation is nice if none of your friends have crazy good guns. I have taken out many tipmann 98s with this gun. (98 is better, but by no means unbeatable with this gun)
Conclusion: Good gun depending on what everyone else is using. Not reccomended if you are no good at taking stuff apart. Shoots nice, pretty good on the gas.

Marker Setup: I have a viewloader semi auto, no accesories except for the pmi 200 count hopper.

Upgrades:
I think it could use a longer barrel, sometimes the shots don't make it as far or accurate as I'd like them to.
Strengths: It is a good gun for a beginner player. It has a double trigger.
Weaknesses: It is difficult to field strip.
Review: This is the only gun I've ever played with, and it is just an average gun, nothin too special. Sometimes it will break paint, not too often, and it is difficult to field strip. The velocity can't get too high, otherwise the balls start jumpin all over the place.
Conclusion: I kinda wish that I had saved up for a better quality gun, such as a Tippmann 98 or something similiar. Most of the people I play with have those and they are very nice.

Don't think there is any...possibly a 12v revy
Strengths: - Shoots hard!
- Very sleak looking
- No ball breaks
Weaknesses: - Hard to clean and very high maintainance!
- very long trigger pull
Review: - Not a very good beginner gun since its hard to clean and maintanence.
- There are no common upgrades
- I had a severe problem with it not recocking after about 2 times of use. I virtually had to take the gun apart 5 times inorder to get it working again. Then found out that one of the o-rings on the valve body was cracked. That fixed it.
- I bought mine for about $160 canadian so its cheap if thats whats important for you.
- volumizer does shizzo
- bottom line hose is very frial

So far i think only 2 balls have broken in a batch of 1000+ The stock barrel is good on that but is horrific on distance. You can throw the paint farther.
Conclusion: Overall, the gun shoots hard and is great for indoor use only! Dont use it outdoors as the stock barrel has a brutal distance. Beginners may find this gun a little too high of maintanace especaially in cleaning. Its soo far caused me more trouble then its worth.

Weaknesses: Not very accurate in long ranges with stock barrel

Review: When i first started playin paintball i didnt have much money so i bought a BE Mauruder and it sucked. So before the next time i played i bought the Viewloader Revelation. It is one of the best guns i've ever used. Not only that but it is cheap...i Bought mine for $50 at Galyan's....I've shot my friends' Spyder Xtra, Spyder Victor, Tippman 98 Custom, and Pirahna R6. With a teardrop barrel this gun is better than all of them. I beat all of them that day....They didnt stand a chance
Conclusion: You should definitely buy this gun....it rocks. The people that give this gun a 1 must not have actually shot the gun cuz it is the best gun i've used.

Front grip
Strengths: Reliable gun
Nice looking when a black front grip is added
Weaknesses: Missing front grip
Review: It is a nice looking gun thatis not a gas hog. All that is needed to make this gun good is a front grip. Reliable, it doesn't break and only screws up with bluestreak balls because they suck. A good first or second gun. Remember if this is your fourth or fifth gun this is not for you this gun is mean for begginers.
Conclusion: You should buy this gun if you are looking for a reliable cheap gun.

Spyders and all of thier clones....which is a lot of guns...lol...why does everyone make a spyder knock off?
Marker Setup: CCI Phantom, M16 Grip, run on Bottomline or VSC config

98 Custom, sawed off-barrel...
Recommended
Upgrades:
hmm...well, are there any? Perhaps an x-chamber, but a nitro tank will do just as well, perhaps a 9v to keep balls from getting jammed since this thing won't go 11bps...maybe 9-10bps, which doesn't really justify spending $50.00 for a hopper
Strengths: Accurate, quiet, doesn't bust paint, better than the Genesis and it's other clones which are much more expensive, great starter gun or gun for a player that nedsa speedball gun but doesn't want a high prce tag....my kinda gun I guess
Weaknesses: Range? Hmm, well, considering a gun shooting at 300fps will shoot just as far as any other gun shooting 300fps (flatline included; the balls from outside the normal range do not break or will not hit) so range is dependent on your ball speed...

Long-range accuracy is probably what most people mean and it somehow sorta lacked this, but with a new barrel. it'll probably fix this
Conclusion: good gun, good price, good everything...hmm...get this gun! It'll be a classic...and someone e-mail me this: what the heck does WDP stand for and it the triton a knock off? Sure as heck looks like it, like thye just changed the color...lol, that's spyder clones for ya!
