The Flatline Barrel System is the first barrel to put back spin on paintballs. It not only increases accuracy and distance, but it also has a flat trajectory.
Product Availability
The Tippmann A-5 Flatline Barrel is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Review:
Ok i bought this barrel having high hopes. well they were crushed when i played with it and it chopped A LOT. Also this thing takes some time to install. when i was cleaning the thing the actual barrel slid about an inch and a half out of the shroud. also this thing is quite expensiv for that kind of quality. My shots were really un accurate all they did was go farther, but by that time they were moving to slow to bust.
Conclusion:
My advice is dont get this barrel its not worth it, get a Freak or some other kit but not this.
Tippmann A-5 Flatline barrel, dead on large drop forwards w/ on-off, E-grip
Recommended Paintballs:
anything Diablo and higher grade.
Strengths:
Not really that many strenghts.
Weaknesses:
Very heavy. very picky on paint, curves off after long distances due to backspin.
Review:
First off I dont like this barrel. yes it shoots far but what good is it if it cant hit what you shoot at. the barrel is yeah heavy, and can only take the Tippmann barrel cover that it comes with. Its very picky on paint. the barrel puts a baskspin on the ball so you dont have to angle your shots at long range. Due the curve on the barrel, high grade paint with a thick shell is needed, or the paint pops in the chamber.
Conclusion:
I dont understand why people would buy this barrel. its not worth the price.
When this first came out my freind bought it then sold it to me for 30 bucks I thought that it looked cool so I bought it.(i was a newbei at the time) As soon as i bought i went to my house and hooked CO2 and poured in paintballs. I was all ecited about it and took 5 shoots at a tree about 20ft-35ft and my smile droped in to a froun real quickly when I figuered out that not one shot hit the tree.
Conclusion:
DO NOT get it ivebin paintballing for a while now trust me I know paintball Ive bin playing tournaments for about 3 years now. Get a J&J ceramic or a smart parts progresive. Have you ever heard the phrase any thing is better than nothing and the A5 flatline is nothing.
