Pads will stay put.
pads are light, but think enough to provide protection
Weaknesses:
Tight as hell!
Review:
Very good product, although i think my leg mussel are too big for the pads. they fit length wise, but not width wise. i give them a 10 even though they cut off my blood circulation. then again.... all pads do this in a similar way.
JT Pads, which were no where near as good as these.
Marker Setup:
I shoot a 2K2, Texas Storm and Ripper 2 Intimidators. I run a Halo or an Empire with a PMI Pure Energy Tank.
Strengths:
Durable, lightweight, snug, form fitting.
Weaknesses:
Cost is a bit high.
Review:
I LOVED these pads. I had the JT's before this and they ripped out along the spandex part. The JT's also had a tendency to slip and fall down off my knees while I was running. I'm 6'3" and have huge legs but these guys fit on like a glove. They cover my knees and shins well, an important consideration for me considering I've already had one knee reconstruction. When they get wet from perspiration they can be a bit hard to get off but I'll take that over slipping all the time. I also like the extra bit of elastic in the middle behind the knee as this helps keep the pads on securely. The JT's and dye's don't have this.
Impulse pretty much stock with a new trigger and a ANS Jackhammer II and a halob
Strengths:
Very good looking as all empire things are.
Weaknesses:
Don't know.

Really the style of these are great...
While I haven't played paintball in them yet some test slides on my lawn felt great with no movement at all.
One thing you need to relise about these is that they nearly cover your whole leg... mid thigh to your ankle. The extra coverage on them is nice to have as I have cut my shins at my local field before.. besides I got a friend to shoot my shins after I got them from various distances and I took quite a few bounces... around 80% from 30 feet, probally 55% from 15 feet and of course it drops dramatically from there.... but if your less than 10 feet away from some one and you take a hit it is gonna break.
Conclusion:
Nice pads... get them more protection than the dye pads.
Renegade knee pads, I have used no other padding besides whats in the pants
Marker Setup:
Bushy b2k5 w/PSD
CP barrel system
Eggy
Crossfire 68/300
Strengths:
Looks
Padding
Weaknesses:
Sizing
Design, i.e. stockings (where is the rolleyes?)
Review:
These pads are silly. Not only are they created by someone that doesn't know the difference in sizes "Small, Medium, Large" the concept is silly. If you are shaped like a 12 gymnast Id say these pads are for you. Ten minutes into trying to reef these things on I was having livid fantasies of driving to Bob Long's house and demand he but them on. And when he could not I would take his Patent for Timmy's ;-). Anyways the sizing is not logical, only the small teenagers will be able to use these things, NO ONE ELSE! The concept is to combine these with slider shorts. The extended stockings (I can call them nothing else!) is meant to carry up your leg and connect with the Empire slider shorts. Problem is
A) Who in gods name whats to do that? More fabric equals more heat and that bad in my books.
B) Anybody with any sort of muscle mass, ohh maybe ones that use his or hers legs in daily life would not be able to connect these pads to the slider shorts because the elastic strapping at the top of the stocking is way to small and would seriously restrict blood flow to and from your leg.
Conclusion:
These pads are silly. Less fabric for more padding is what we want to see. Not something that when we pull off your PB pants we look like a fat guy in the ballerina tu-tu, its just wrong. I just spent the last 20 mins cutting all the extra spandex off my pads and loosening the stitching. These will only last until Skyball, then I get some real pads. I'm really disheartened from this. I'm a JT man by use (mostly because that's all my pro shop uses to carry). When I try to switch to another PB manufacturer for diversity I get lets downs like this. Dye, your mask is to loose fitting. Empire, your pads suck, try harder. Me? GO BACK TO JT!

They didn't fit. Too tight.
Hard to put on.
Hard to take off.
Review:
I used these babies for one day.
First I thought I could just slip them onto my legs and go, but no such luck. The fabric stretches out to next week. I had to inch them up my leg. The part with the hole for the back of the knee had a hard time slipping over my calve. Finally, I get the pad in place after shimmying and pulling for 5 minutes. Then the fabric streched nearly all the way up my leg. The elastic band was REALLY tight around my thigh. Now for the next leg...
After the day, I had inpression marks from the elatic bands in my thighs for a week.
Anyhow. The size I have is a L/XL, so I thought it would fit. Maybe Chris Lasoya has smaller legs than I do. Who knows?
Conclusion:
Not for big guys. Not even the L/XL. Maybe for people with more slender legs.

Review:
These pads are great. i have been sliding at least a hundred times a week for the last 3 months (i do a lot of sliding practice and drills) and they shot little to no signs of wear and tear. they look super kool and go with my black and red outfit but when you have pants on you cant see that. so i think they wasted mney and effort on the unnecessarily secksy design. which in turn jacks up the price or us. but they are totally worth it! i will never need another pair of pads again (til i grow out of em, then ill just buy some more ventz!). also they are soft and ventilated. i can bounces off of them all the time.
