The Freak Barrel is designed to fit any paint. There are eight different full length inserts for the back of the barrel to accommodate virtually any bore size paint. You can purchase the whole kit (Freak Deluxe Barrel Kit), or you can purchase the inserts individually. You can also choose from 4 different lengths, and assorted colored fronts. Splash colors will be available in Winter 2000. The barrel comes with one insert. Standard bore sizes are listed below:

i bought the 14inch freak kit from my local store for about $150. i was going to get the linear but saved some extra money and got the freak for the interchangable inserts. They are very useful if you shoot different kinds of paint. This barrrel is much more accurate than many stock barrels. If you have a few extra bucks i reccomend getting this barrel. In a test shooting at a target 50ft. away using pmi premiums with the .689 insert. There was about a 5inch grouping with many paintballs on top of each other for 25shots. I also went to the field nearby and played and hit a player at about 70ft. away with one shot. This was probably luck, but the barrel helped.
Conclusion:
this barrel is very accurate and can change bore sizes in a few minutes. Even though it is kind of pricy if you have the money you should get it. I haven't had any problems with this product so it is getting a 10.

This barrel is so accurate. It quite fast and light. It rips paint. Makes a nice barrel for a back player or a bushballer who needs the accuracy. This barrel is far better than a Ultra Light. Get the Freak and it will lay down lines and rails like you have a top line gun(unless you have a top line gun in which case it will still be awesome).
Conclusion:
Don't get the UL get the Freak it is cheaper I think..... and better.

Review:
I bought this barrel because i notice that my accuracy was not that good with the current barrel i was using. The first thing i noticed was that there are 8 inserts which is way more then any other kit i ever seen..I also noticed that the fronts for this kit are heavily ported so i figured it couldn't be that good for effieciency. Well as i started testing i used pmi paintballs with the .689 insert and chronoed my gun i shot 260 fps so i adjusted my gun and reshot..this time the same thing...so i switched to my old barrel and chronoed and got a 296...So i knew the porting was affecting the chronoing...Next i shot a couple shots at 50 feet and the barrel was very accurate...One more thing when i chopped a ball i had to clean the insert and the back piece and the front piece which wth all the porting was a major pain in the butt...so for accuracy this barrel is great but for effieciency i wouldn't reccommend it..
Conclusion:
This barrel is great but when i chopped it took like 2 mins to clean which is horrible..I lost about 200 shots with my tank which again is horrible and i couldn't get my gun to chrono over 265...if it wasn't for all that this barrel would get a 9 but because of the price and the above mentioned problems i give it a 6...but then again i only tested it with a 12" Teardrop front..so other setups will probably be better or perhaps worse...
you can use any paint you want and have good accraucy

I bought the freak for its accraucy claims, its ok with accraucy but the cost is way to much. $150cdn for a steel back is insane! The inserts are so fragile you step on them and they turn into paper weights. The thing that pisses me off the most is the cost. $375+plus tax cdn, pipes are cheaper, look better, just as accurate and shoot clean.One break will basically screw the day over untill you do a thoro cleaning. Inserts are expensive, tips are expensive and the whole system was great but compared to a pipe is a waste of money in my opinion.
Conclusion:
Get a pipe, it will shoot clean, I was rather disappointed with the freak as its not sooo accurate but is vertatile
Sweet barrel, try it out, nice and light. I liked it alot. Like i said try it out u will enjoy it alot! I dont know what else to say because i dont have anything else to say. Except to try this barrel out you will like it for sure.

The inserts and barrell only lineup properly when you mess with it for several minutes.
Freak back never lineup up properly on the guns....the cutout saying FREAk is upside down on my angel
It breaks the crap out of slightly old paint
Weaknesses:
The barrel tip doenst lineup properly with the back...the little Smart parts crosshair bubble stickers are at the 2 and 7 o'clock position when screwed on
the case that holds the inserts is very poorly made...The plexiglass window had cracks in it when I received it from the vendor
