What's the deal with a sound activated loader? An optical sensing loader "prevents" misfeeds while with the Reloader they simply don't happen. While an optical loader basicaly acts like a regular gravity fed loader until it senses a misfeed and then rotates the paddle, the Reloader never waits for a misfeed to happen. Instead it loads a ball everytime the marker is fired, able to load up to 14 balls per second.
This latest version of the Reload features an improved shell design, magnetized lid that won't wear out, and a contained battery door so you won't lose it!
Product Availability
The Empire Reloader II is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Review:
Although I have been playing for nearly 17 years, this was my first motorized hopper. I hadn't felt the need but decided to give one a try. I bought it off eBay and was pleased at first. I used it for about five or six days of play (still first batteries) and the impeller split in half. I also noticed spider web cracking on the feedneck. I suspected something else wasn't quite right with it so I boxed it up and off it went to Empire.
I shipped it back to Empire with some hope that I could get it repaired without costing me a great deal since it was still so new. The informed me that the 90 day warranty had expired and I would be responsible for the new shells, impeller, and board. Yes, the board had somehow gone bad also. I was told this would be about $35. At that point, I told him to trash it and I would not be buying another Empire product. I still haven't...
Conclusion:
Don't bother buying this unless they have greatly improved it since I bought mine. I did like the magnetic lid...

I lost my gravity hopper at the field so i had to get this. I wanted to get a Prophecy but I didn't have the money so i went to this hopper. I wasn't to sure but when I was firing it was very good. This is a very good hopper. You should always get the hopper if your a beginner paintballer. It works well for low firing gun but if you have an Invert mini like me i just fire semi. This is a very good hopper.
Conclusion:
Very good hopper. if you have the money get it. But if you have more then $200 get a Rotor or a Prophecy.
pinokio hopper- amazing hopper but a little pricey
Marker Setup:
smart parts ion 72/3000 pure energy tank and reloader guts w/shell upgrade
Strengths:
Sound activated!!!
magnetic lid
auto shut off
Weaknesses:
VERY WEAK STEM!!!
hard to tell if its on =(

i was all happy when i got this hopper i had it all set up and as soon as i got on the field i could tell something was wrong. right off the break, the thing snapped- THE FIRST TIME I USED THE DANG THING. so i got out and was so pissed. i used one of my friends pinokio hoppers for the rest of the night and the next day had to buy a new shell for the guts of it
Conclusion:
Dont buy this unless you have a clamping feedneck.
No hopper is so bad in the entire paintballing world
Marker Setup:
Spyder v 2, empire reloder 2, 20 oz c02
Strengths:
Cheap (price)
Weaknesses:
Cheap (quality)
Review:
This is about as good as a gravity hopper played with it not even an entire night. IT was doing pretty well but then i got shot once is the hopper and the paint got insede the shell and and it fried the board. This was a waste of my money. If you want to buy it then just make sure you dont get shot in the hopper..... and also the magnets are put in soo bad they feel out until you crazy glue them in and they get soo weak over time then the hopper doesnt stay shut. This hopper really suxxxxxxxxx
Conclusion:
Definetly do not waste your money on this product
