Our most affordable marker ever. We're proud to have produced a paintball marker like no other. The Ion was built to be the marker for anyone who loves the game: simple to maintain, easy to use, designed for winning. It takes abuse like a rental gun, but throws paint with the best of them. You'll get the accuracy, range and rate of fire the Pro's enjoy for just a little more money than an entry level marker. The days of having to spend tons of cash to get what you want are over.

Our Features Presentation

17 balls per second semi-auto rate of fire with 3 shot burst, 10 bps full auto and our Rebound firing mode.

Break-beam Vision Anti-Chop System Reliable and durable, the eyes are mounted on a separate board for perfect alignment and not affected by paint or body color. Just clean and replace (in minutes).

A Featherweight Prizefighter At 2.2 pounds, the Ion is among the lightest high-end markers made, and its tube design imparts an ultra low profile.

Reliability The Ion was engineered to stand up to the demands of professional players. It will outlast what used to be considered high-end and won't break down the minute you get it home.

Improved Ball Detents Approximately 10 times the service life of current detents.

Great Efficiency Expect a reliable 1000-1400 shots from a 68ci, 4500psi bottle without any modifications.

Accuracy & Range The trademarks you expect from Smart Parts.

Body Kits A first for paintball. High-quality aluminum internals are protected by composite shells, allowing you to instantly change the color or look of your body. Tired of blue? Switch to red. Or black. Or yellow. And there are more body styles in the works...

Feed Tube with O-Ring Seals Fits a wider range of hoppers than most guns in this price range.

Tools 1/8" Allen wrench is all you need for primary disassembly--and its included, along with trigger and velocity adjustment wrenches and a handy parts kit.

Impulse Threads Take advantage of the barrels and feed tubes you may already have.

Review: I got this gun about 3 months ago. i was origanilly going to get a auto cocker. so this gun came and i loved it at first. then i started using it and i saw it wasnt to accurate and the feed neck sucked and the trigger wiggled from side to side. The gun shoots pretty fast for a 200$ gun but not fast enough to hold off egos and dye's.
Conclusion: Dont waste your money, i bought the ion for 200 and put about another 150 into it and then i ended up buying an etek ego. so instead of me just spending the 750 for the ego i spent 350 on the ion and then another 750 on the ego. i wasted my money on the ion. dont buy this gun save up for a better gun its worth waiting a few more months to get a good gun. trust me. your gonna have the ion and think its great for like a month then your gonna see bob longs and egos and dye's and want a better gun. so just save yourself the time and money and buy a better gun. THE ION IS BECOMING THE NEW TIPPMAN. you cant go to a paintball place without seeing about 5 people with them.

Review: My friend had one of these and it was cool!! until it started messing up. First it was leaking from the reg. fix it in like 2 seconds then it would not shoot it was turned on but would not shot the pressure was right but it was the board took over an hour to fix it pain in the a** and then it would not shoot below 350fps fixed it and then lasted 2 games broke agian.
Conclusion: I would not recommend the ion or any e-marker because your always going to have problems with them. Get an autococker trilogy sport it rocks and can keep up with most e-markers and are way more accurate and absolutly no problems what so ever.

Strengths: Looks nice, but thats pretty much it.
Weaknesses: Crappy kit, can only use Smart Parts upgrades, and it breaks easily.
Review: I wouldnt really recommned this gun, If I were one of you looking to buy an Ion i would iI would get a proto SLG they are wayy better than this IOn crap!! I wouldnt really suggest you get this because you will end up spending a lot of money on repair, so do yourself a favor and just buy a better gun.
Conclusion: Save a Rock through an ION thats all i have to say

Review: Once again Smart Parts has produced a great product. The gun is simply designed and works very effiecently. Truely customizable with many different upgrades from different companies. There is enough upgrades to make this gun perform like you want, depending on the money spent. Smart Parts has gave the average person in the game a chance to play with a pro feel. The gun is great for the money and will rip with certain upgrades just like my roomates Smart Parts Shocker.

With the setup I have I can spin a pie tin at 35 yards on semi, full auto, ramping, etc., the gun performs well.
Conclusion: The Smart Parts Ion gives a entery or weekend player a chance to play with a pro level feel. Yes there may be better guns out there but for the price you can not beat the Ion. I would suggest anyone with a smaller budget to buy this gun because you can always upgrade the gun later.

you have to buy a virtue new trigger new barrel on/off
Strengths: Being very durable and it is a very nice gun for beginners.
Weaknesses: Needs to be upgraded when it is bought if you have the time and money.
Review: when you get the ion it seems great but after a while you get the need to upgrade your ion...which does need to be done. First thing you should do is get a new trigger because it will eventually break off(atleast what happened to me).then you should get a new board and a new bolt and body. But overall the ion is a great starter ion. but if you are not a begginer but are still looking at buying an ion then the dunasty ion should be bought because ity comes with the upgrades needed already installed.
Conclusion: The ion is a good gun for begginers but it should be upgraded if you have the time and money.

OMG ALOT feedneck, asa, trigger, regulator, board, barrel, bolt, asa, macro line and fittings, grips, 360 qev, new bolt out back body, better breech, and trigger frame
Strengths: Somewhat cheap. Nothing really. Read the description. read description please
Weaknesses: TO many to tell here look at summary
Review: i bought this gun thinking it was a great back up gun. IT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!! It is terribly unaccurte even with my freak kit and top grade paint. the macro line is very low quality and doesnt fit correctly. the asa adds about a inch and a half to your tank making you put the take over your shoulder. It leaks weekly. from the swivel, internals and many unpredictable places. the stock barrel make it even more unacurrate than it is with an upgrade barrel. the feedneck is as very tall and wont fit a higher end hopper. you will break the feedneck on your hopper. it is VERY loud!! It can be heard blocks away. the velocity drastically drops when shooting a about 8 bps. the reg is not anthing to be amezed about. the qev isnt good. the trigger is terrible!! i am currently using my 3 new stock trigger becase the get shot and break. or the magnet part breaks off, the metal shreads VERY EASY!! it shreded the meatal when i screwed it in! the feedneck shreds and ruins the threads when taken off
Conclusion: Not a gun that you want to have. it leaks and is made and desinged poorly.

Ions Suck! The only thing you can do is take the whole thing apart and rebuild it. I hated mine. I bought it for $235 and sold it for $140
Strengths: Customizable. You Can School Someone With It That Has A DM4. Ha Ha ADD
Weaknesses: They dont have a good trigger. FREAK*N AIR HOGS!!
Review: That all I got to say. It isnt too good if your over 14 and a get 50 a month. Go out get an EPIPIHANY. And dont put the co2 tank on it newbies. Ions are ok if they are customized. Dont just screw a tank on it. Turn the reg down a bit of a crank
Conclusion: Buy if you and your brother Timmy are starting a 3 man team. DONT USE CO2 you newbs. I hate newbs that put a 12 oz. Co2 Tank on their ion or epip

I have used a Tippmann and I thought I loved it untill I got my Ion, and im in love with it.
Marker Setup: I have a black Ion with a blackheart board a cp on off switch a stock barrel, stock grips and trigger, and a clap feed neck. I have a red halo v35 and a 45 3000 tank.
Recommended
Upgrades:
I would recommended a new trigger, new board, new feed neck.
Strengths: Take Care Of It!!
Weaknesses: Be Sure To Turn It On Befor The Game Starts!!
Review: The Smart Parts Ion is a very reliable. If you take care of it, it will last you a very long time.

Me and one my friends went down to CJs paintball field and were about to leave bu we were gonna play just a few more games be for we left and he has an Indian Creak Design pro-master and his gun broke. He bought hes gun brand new with a new board new grips and everything else. But hes only had hes for a month and I have hade mine for about 6 months now and its still in top condition and have never broke or messed up one time. But when we were at CJs one of his gages and his gun kept maxing out, it maxed out 4 times between games and during games, so we had it looked at and the guy said it was his regulator and he needed a new one be for it messed up his gun.
An Ion is a very reliable gun and I love mine To death.
Conclusion: Its a great gun and its very reliable!!!
