It does its job EXTREMLY well and at the cost of no efficiency to the CO2 usage (since it use the blow back gases.) I would say the unit is worth every penny, I could not play anymore with my 12v revy and a regular elbow with my E-grip gun that will shoot at a ridiculus ROF.
I set the ROF to 18 balls per second, I did not break one ball shooting 50 paintballs.
Easy to install (especially if you have the Custom Pro). Will feed very very fast, also it is impossible to gum up the loading like if you break in an elbow.
Possibly the large elbow, but I haven't been hit there yet. Difficult to uncock gun so as you don't load a ball in the chamber (although you may just lose one ball or catch it and reload it). Also becareful because of "phantom" balls that will shoot out even after shooting multiple dry shots.
Tippmann 98 Custom. I have a 5" drop forward, a collapsable stock, laser sight, bipod, 16" thunderpig barrel(also a 3 piece 21"barrel), rocket cock2, double trigger, response trigger, expansion chamber, and the cyclone feed system.

I like this hopper system a lot. It doesent require batteries so you dont have to worry about moisture. It eliminates the problem of breaking balls and with this set up you dont have to smack the hopper to get it to feed like the standard hopper.
This is an awesome upgrade to ANY tippmann 98 custom, with or without the response trigger. If you get this unit, you will not be disappointed.
I like the fact that I can get a larger hopper for the cyclone system, I shoot alot, and with the setup I have I can go thru paint like mad if I want to!
Be sure you get the "Banjo T" Fitting if you have the response trigger. At this point the hopper is still new enough that most paintball stores dont know that the special T fitting is needed to add this to a gun with the response trigger already installed.
Conclusion:
Get it! Great product, you can change the hopper size from standard 200 to 240, or even a 350 round hopper! Looks great on the gun, works great too!

Can anyone help me? I tryed installing this piece but i haven't had any luck. The valve that comes off the power tube doesnt fit in the preset hole on the right of my tippman. When i place the powertube in theres no way my gun will close either. Did anyone have to sand this down inorder to fit or was it fine right out of the box? I even brought it to the pro shop and they couldnt install it because it wouldnt fit properly. Did i get a bum part or is there additional work that needs to be done to the power tube. If anyone can help me with this i'd greatly appreciate it. thank you.

Dont have one yet, giving it a 10 just so i dont off set the rating lol.

When i got the tippmann a5 i thought this was going to be good. but the FIRST time i used it let me say that again the FIRST! time i used it had problems it wasnt spinning the cyclone so i thought i was out of air nope.. ok then i thought the screw wasnt tight enough..no i went to fix it at the store and had to order a new ratchet the first time!it works now but it always chops if you like the tippmann and want to keep it remove the cyclone and put an elctronic hopper my opinion

I have been looking through the reviews of this product and noticed that some people have said that to install a cyclone feed system to a 98 custom you have to drill a hole in the marker/gun. and i havee many upgrade with some home customizations but i dont want to change anything on my gun the could perminately change the way my gun fires in a bad way. so, though my reveiw is not very helpful, im hoping the comments i recieve will be....(please read conclusion)

so my final question is. i have a tippmann 98 custom platinum series with A.C.T., will i have to drill any holes in my gun to make the cyclone feeder fit?

I have read many good things about this hopper and is thinking about purchasing one, but in one condition. I was wondering if i have to get the cyclone feed and response trigger adapter. i have a 98 platinum series ACT with response trigger. Any suggestions or advice would be very helpful.
