This is the most dramatic mil-sim marker modification OPSGEAR has ever produced. Never has a single component so significantly transformed a vanilla Tippmann marker into a mil-sim monster. Not only is this new shroud pragmatic, but it carries with it the emotional punch of the most lethal sniper rifle in the world, the M82A1. Be sure that this marker accessory will attract attention on the field and remind your competetors that it takes only one shot from an experienced marksman to take them down.
Product Availability
The OPSGEAR Raider M82A1 Shroud is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Strengths: Built like a tank
Easy to modify
LOTS of Picatinny mount possibilities
Weaknesses: Expense to value ratio
Substantial weight
Review: The latest price at Opsgear for this item is $79.95 not including shipping. Mine arrived quickly, and was easy to install using 4 hex screws that tighten on the dovetail. There are some small scratches on the mount as a result, but it is hardly noticeable...even with the shroud removed.

I cut off the last 5 inches or so...about where my SAW stock attaches. The material is hard steel, so I had to use a die grinder to do the job. This did cut down on the weight, and made it easier to look into my sight. I also removed the upper forward picatinny mount because it was unused, and filled the holes with 8/32 set screws.

I am very happy with the look of the shroud, as well as its utility. I have mounted a bipod, weaver riser and red dot, and have plenty of room to mount laser sights and flashlights should I be so inclined.
Conclusion: Although expensive, I could not see fabricating an item like this myself. I am happy with this product modified and installed on my a-5.

Weaknesses: Weight is the only problem
Review: ok, woopdee frikkin doo, it's not as "long" as the real gun! so what! this shroud is great for any tactical player who just can't fit everything on their gun. I would recomend a raised sight rail if you want to see out of a scope but other than that this is a great shroud. It may be a little heavy for younger kids and is a little front heavy but if you have the right stock, remote line, and possibly a bi-pod you should be fine.
Conclusion: I am giving this product a 10 out of 10 because it's durable, has lots of room for attatchments, and (my personal favorite) it will definetly intimidate the competition. Enjoy.

Tippmann Model 98 Gas Thru MAG - M82A1

Strengths: Nice layout, plenty of rails, good comparison to the M82A1
Weaknesses: total package = HEAVY, dont plan to run around or shoot on the fly.
Review: For the perfect "scenerio" Sniper package, it doesnt get any better than this, the intimidation factor alone is enough to scare new players and even some seasoned players. The versatility of location of rails is great for a vast number of accessories, sights, lights, nvg, laser, you name it theres a home for it. The Bi-Pod is a must have if your prone, this badboy is no lightweight. the materials are durable and realistic.
Conclusion: Hands down this has got to be the baddest scenerio sniper package on the market, the feel of a M82A1, the look of the M82A1, and the pure intimidation factor of the competition. In all a great product.
