The 2006 Proto pant is built to perform, built to look good and built to last. These are great pants. they look great, and have dye quality. they are pretty much like the 05s, but these have much better ventilation and a pod loop in the back which alows you to carry an extra pod. very handy. likw and very comforatable. there is very good knee padding, and grion and butt padding. my only issue with tehm is that i bought 32-34 and these things could fit like 3 of me. i mananged to use the velcro waste strap and over strap them to fit me. i will get tehm taylored and let them out when i grop into them. my advice, if you stopped growing go one size to small. if you are grwoing its your call. if i would have gotten one size too small, i would grow out of tehm.
Conclusion:
Great pants. very similar to dye hybrids but with much more padding, a pod loop, and a littel more rugged material. i give it a 9 because the sizes are off. (i take into acound people makes sizes different, but these are so far off from a 32 its not even funny.)
Well, I got the 06 proto red pants for Christmas. i used them for abotu a month maybe two and finally, they decide to start ripping on me. The hole started out fairly small but by the end of the day, I could fit two pods through it next to each other. I had only used the pants for a month and was really mad. Overall, the pants look nice though they don't seemto be able to hold up to serious playing. I may have gotten a bad batch but the same thing happened to my brothers pants as well. A hole developed right below the padded crotch at the seams and quickly tore and stretched.
Conclusion:
Overall, I say these pants were not worth the $70-$80 paid for them. Has this happened to anybody else?
These pants look good, and thats about all I like about them. The knee padding is worse than the 05 ones, and aren't very comfortable. I do like the added cushoning to the butt area. The pod holder is a nice touch, but a little unrealistic. I was worried that the pod would break open or something on a slide considering it is just held on by two elastic strings.
Conclusion:
It is a good product but I like the 05 pants much better than these. If you can find the 05's, get them but if not, these will do.
