I have had this gun for over 3 years now.....And out of the 160 games ive played with it, i can only recall 10 times that it hasn't broken down on the field. I take GREAT care of the marker, i lube it, i replaced the orings, i take it in for maintanence. I've spent atleast $500 on repairs alone, one time the bolt broke and i had to pay $200 to get a new one, the eyes have gone bad, the regulator has gone bad.....This gun has only been a pain in my butt. (i can't swear on this review). never buy this gun..it is horrible!
This gun is unreliable, and has broken down on my almost everytime i went, maintanence is an unbearable pain. Ive spent over $400 on repairs...not a good gun....This gun is horrible! I give it a two for the times when it did work for me, and it was great when it wasnt having problems.
angels of all years
you name it ive shot it
Smart Parts TurboCharger bolt

I picked one of these up used from an ICD tech recently. I think this may be one of the nicest markers I have used. It is blazing fast! I havent messed with the trigger settings and on semi I am pulling14-15 bps easily. It is also about as light as my Shocker, so really light. It also looks great. The anno is very thick and the color is great. The stock regs arent that great on ICD markers in general. I reccomend a CP reg or something else of that caliber. The stock asa is also annoying if you dont remember to screw it in all the way. I also had a problem with cold weather, however it was about 12 degrees. Most players dont play when it's 12* out though. The stock barrel is fine but any other barrel would be better.
This is a very solid and well built marker. I recommend it to anyone who wants a great marker. Also you can find them very cheap now.
I currently shoot a cobalt to black dm4 with predator (pure sweetness) w/halo, 68/45 w/shocktec ASA and hand made no-drop rail, and ultralite barrel
im not to savy on the ups for the freestyle although the one i shot was stock and performed quite well
Looks (opinion), point of aim, halo was in my piont of aim (opinion again).
The freestyle I tested was a repair job I had. I recieved it in a non-working condition. After repairing the marker i took it to the field for a day of play to verify the repairs that I made. All i can say is, WOW!! I've been shooting a DM4 since feb 2004 (yes I still love that beast) but the freestyle really impressed me. I did not like the way the marker shouldered. I'm used to looking under the halo for my point of aim. With the freestyle I had to look through it. However, It shot very well all day. It was very consistant, very accurate, and quiet. The only chop i had all day was my fault for letting the Halo run dry. I was burning off the brake and just didnt want to stop and i guess that last ball bouncing around in the breech took a little to much abuse. After a quick swabbing it was back to rippin. The look of the freestyle (stock 05 version) isn't all that appealing to me. This is only my opinion. It is however a very rugged design. It's built in a way that seems to be able to handle some hardcore ballin. It feels tough when you hold it, doesn't feel like a toy i guess. With proper maintenance and cleaning (as with any marker) it is a VERY capable marker.
In conclusion the freestyle is a respectable tool on the field. Just not a very pretty one.(again my opinion) The price is also a key factor in the desision to buy a paintball marker, And the freestyle is priced lower than many other "high end" markers out there today. It deserves a 10 but gets a 9 because of what i feel to be a rather plain look.
reg, lpr, board grips, barrel, you can do any thing to them
Fast, Light, Small, Good looking
I got mine used from ebay cheap. Out of the box it looked great! I took it down to local field to test a few days later to find it's a great gun. It shoots ropes and I love it. Cleaning it after use that day was a bit difficult, but nothing unbearable. Since I got it 3 months ago it's has been through 2 tourny's, both of which It preformed great.
I would recommend it to anyone. It is a high end marker for a lower end price. It can be found used and in good condition for bar gins. I'd say jump on the opportunity to get one and you wont' be let down. The only thing to watch out for is the reg and lpr can act up.
For the freestyle, 05 freestyle, dye UL back with stiffi 16in front, new grips and asa, and cp reg
Irratating to take apart/put togeather
ill make it short.
I got my 05 fs, looks great out of the box, i had an extra dye ul back w/ stiffi front so i threw it on, the gun is incredibly light and the trigger after a little ajusting feels great, i turned it on and turned the eyes off, it felt like i was shooting the gun fast, but the gun wasent clicking as fast as i thought it should, but that all changed when i went to play with it. I aired it up, put in some paint (cronic i think) and shot it at the chrono, now im not all that fast at shooting, in semi i keep it around 13bps, but this gun was fast w/ no bounce, i didnt catch how fast i was actualy shooting but i was faster than 13, consistancy was good, stayed +/- 10fps with a cp reg, first game i played back, and it ripped, as far as accuracy is concerned, it was better than a timmy but not as good as a matrix, but take into consideration it was accross the feild, gun dident chop or go down at all, im am very pleased with this gun and i strongly reccomend it.
