Do you want an extremely accurate barrel? Or do you want a barrel that can perform trick shots? Now players can get the best of both worlds. LAPCO has created what we're calling "Apex Ready" barrels. We have modified our classic one-piece barrel to create a barrel with the ability to mount an Apex Tip. Now for the first time players can combo the widely popular Apex Tip with our extremely accurate one piece barrels. We've tested these out and it actually gives the player more control over the various trick shots featuring increased ball movement. Remember you can always turn the Apex off and rely on the accuracy of a LAPCO Big Shot.

The Lapco Apex Ready Big Shot Barrel is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Review:
Firstly let me start off by saying I'm a rather new player, not much experience but very entheusiastic. Did alot of research before purchasing any kit. Been Playing for about two months now and upgraded to this barrel after the first week.
Compared to the Tippmann stock Barrel, the Lapco gives me alot more accuracy and consistency aswell as increased distance of about 5-10 metres before lobbing.
14/15 shots are within a 1 foot diamatre from 10-15 metres.
I was very impressed with the increased performance that was given after installing the barrel.
Later I decided to get the Apex tip as my buddies have either Apex or Flatline installed on their A5's.
The distance is impressive with the Apex tip installed, but I must be honest, it does affect accuracy with rapid fire.
Then again, one would not often "engage a target" at 30-50 metres.
So it's all relivant within match conditions.
Would recommend it any day
Also I have not had any problems with barrel burst or anything related. This is probably also thanks to the ACT. (4000 balls shot, no hastles at all)
Conclusion:
Lapco Big Shot Barrel -
Would recommend the Barrel to anyone looking for more distance and accuracy.
Extremely satisfied with Barrel and got it for ZAR650-00 (+/- $70)
Lapco Big Shot Barrel with Apex Tip -
More distance and added advantage with trick shots which makes you own in the field.
Cost me around $20 (ZAR200-00)

Review:
Well, i ordered this on Ebay for $90.00, i got the 12 inch Lapco Bigshot .690, with the Apex tip (so obviously the Lapco was APEX ready). This barrel is okay as far as i have tried it in my backyard from 30 feet away, i noticed that even without putting it on a flatline setting that the balls tend to drop down then swoop back up after about 15 feet, sure you may have to get used to it but still it swoops down so low that the ball almost touches the ground before it goes back up into the flatline effect thing, It is a good barrel and a good idea but i think BT needs to find a more efficient spin maker thing. so far from just testing it in my backyard i will give it an 8/10
Conclusion:
Great Barrel, but i am yet to try this on the field and am looking forward to it greatly, hope it functions better on the field than it did at my home overall 8/10
