More than 5 years
Products Used:
Spyder Pilot ACS - Definitely worse. Lots of kick, heavy and parts kept flying off (cocking pins, backcaps)
Invert Mini - Worse. Occasionally chopped balls in the breech sending paint shooting up into the loader
Marker Setup: Green/Black Dangerous Power G3 Special Edition
APE Rampage OLED board
Rampage grips
DP Pressure Monitoring Device
Dye Rotor
Pure Energy 68/4500
It's a great marker straight out of the box. That is the reason I bought it. I only wish it had come with the DP's Pressure Monitoring Device.
The stock board works great, but I'm not a big fan of counting blinking lights so I upgraded to APE's excellent Rampage OLED board.
Strengths: Beautifully milled with hand polishing. Requires no upgrades out of the box. Light. Accurate. Affordable.
Weaknesses: Dangerous Power should have included the pressure monitoring device. Not the greatest air efficiency.
Review: Like many out there I don't have the money for a high end marker costing more then a large LCD television. I have also found out the hard way that it's also possible to be too cheap and end up with something that doesn't perform properly and becomes a handicap. I also did not want a marker with parts that I would obviously need to replace such as the plastic backcap from the PMR of the time. I found exactly what I was looking for in the Dangerous Power G3. It's got almost everything you could ever want in a marker. It's fast, light, accurate and beautiful. I never get tired of polishing the green finish and my G3 shows very little sign of being used for two years. About the only real weakness is the air efficiency. I have no problem getting through a game and my field has unlimited air so it's never been an issue for me.
Conclusion: I would highly recommend buying it if you can find a used one. I can't imagine many people would want to sell theirs though. The limited production run sold pretty quickly and you can't find these new anymore.
