The newest design out there. Sleeker and stronger than the traditional stamped and bent aluminum style. Stainless steel rod assures long life.
Product Availability
The Shocktech Beaver Tail is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Products Used:
Kapp , FreeFlow , stock , many others
Marker Setup: Shocktech Cocker , another cocker , dark angel
Strengths: It has 2 screws to hold it in place while is a very nice feature , no more sticking a cut in half dime in between your tail and the frame.
It can fit on any cocker no matter what frame you have.
It is made out of SS rod to make sure it does not bend and aluminum where it is screwed on and on the back while can be anodized to match your gun.
Weaknesses: More expensive than other tails , it can move around if you dont tighten screw enough but thats your fault not the tails.
Conclusion: Better than a kapp since it use 2 screws to hold , stronger than a freeflow , better looking and more durable that stock tails and 45 basic tails. I think its the best tail to get for a cocker but you pay to get the best. If you arnt on a budget get it and get it to match you gun color too!

Strengths: The style of the beavertail is nice looking, and it fits well with all trigger frames.
Weaknesses: When the set screw on the beavertail is screwed in, it has a habit of tilting the entire beavertail. This will catch your back block on the rod as it goes back. The ring on the beavertail looks, how do you say, "ghetto", with the threading of the rod protruding into the ring.
Conclusion: The beavertail is an attractive addition to your marker, and it serves the purpose all beavertails do. Never the less, the beavertail does have a couple flaws that should be taken into consideration before purchasing.

Strengths: Product #2. The angled beaver tail is very nice looking. Servers no performance value at all! I never used a beaver tail on my cocker before.. but since my local feild decided I should.. I bought this on.! New creative design
Weaknesses: As with most shock Tech products, the chroming was horrible! The Chroming on the bomb 3-way is the same. It looks cheap! like aluminum gum wrapper.
I actually had a friend of mine re chrome it for me... He does real good work. The item did look much better, but it was not as nie as his normal work. I asked why, he told me it was the metal that shock tech used....
Conclusion: I really wish someone at shock tech would get it together. They make great products. They price them at the same price as other hi performance after market products... I only wish they would stop stop skimping whan t comes to the finish. Spend the extra five cents per item, and get better alloy! When someone buys chrome... it cause we want gaudy shiney stuff.... not cheap made in china looking chrome plating. It is stll the nicest BT on the market.
A for desgn, F for fit and finish. so if you can live with black get it!
