I used to play around with a talon then sold it to get my stingray, then i sold that and got my shutter when i started playing on fields and now i have a 2k1 shocker sport. So i would say I have played with a wide range of guns
Marker Setup:
I have nothing on the beetle right now but I cut off th bottom of a 10 round tube and duct taped it to the gun, I aso painted it orange so that i could play around with it outside the fields without getting arrested. don't think there re any upgrades for it, its not like the talon with the bottle adapter. But it takes standard 7/8 elbows if you feel like sticking your revvy to it for fun.
Recommended Upgrades:
There is nothing really for it
Strengths:
I bought this gun at the world record game in skirmish, PA for $2 from the natinal paintbal supply tent, they were liquidating everything they had. I figured that i would be abe to shoot around with this with the 12 grams, since i have a shocker and only have a 68 3k, I only get 2 hoppers so i needed a yard gun like this. this was the best $2 investment i Have ever made in paintball. I got 60 shots off one 12 gram with thi so i am very happy
Weaknesses:
There is nothing bad,it chops pretty often but all i do is shove a cotton ball dwn the barrel with a pen then dry fire it, it cleans out nicely. sure, it has no accuracy but its not like you would play on a field with it, unless you are really good, incredibly stupid (with all the gun today), or just playing a bunch of newbs.
model 98, SP teardrop, expansion chamber, rocket cock, red dot sight.
Strengths:
-its very small
-doesnt break paint too often
-lightweight
-more accurate that a model 98 with a stock barrel
-comes with a hopper and elbow
-very simple construction
-good co2 effeciancy (about 90 shots out of a 12 gram)
-shoots at about 250fps
-long range
- dirt cheap $16.99
-1 year factory warenty
Weaknesses:
- the only problem i have encountered is double feeding, all you have to do to fix it is point the marker up and cock it
-nearly impossible to feild stip, you must have a hammer and a small size nail to knock the pin out in the back of the marker
- sometimes it will feed the ball in halfway and chop it, but this is very rare
***when usuing the marker dont forget to screw the 12g co2 in th gun all the way or you wont get any range***
Conclusion:
overall this is the best pump gun to be used as a sidarm. much better that all that brass eagle cr@p. somehwta hard to feildstrip the first time. if for some strange reason the gun cracks or break and wont fire, you can throw it at the opponent (pick it up after the game is over and send it back)
Well none for this cheap, but I guess the thing that is closes in price to it is the talon, but the talon does not ever compare to it preformance wise. This is way better.
Marker Setup:
Spyder Xtra
Java ex-chamber
16 oz. Chromolly CO2
clear vl 200 revolution 12 volt with x-board
Perfect drop forward
14" Termintor barrel
Point Zero Beetle for back up
Recommended Upgrades:
I don't there are any upgrades for this? Maybe a bigger hopper would be good, but when you just use it for back up you dont really need one.
Strengths:
-Dirt cheap
-Pretty accurate for pump gun.
-Can shoot pretty far
-Small
-Good on co2, can get about 100 shots outta a 12 gram
-Light
-Not to loud
-If you keep it oiled it only breaks a ball about 1 outta 300
Weaknesses:
-Plastic, but what do you expect its 15 bucks
-When you pump it you have to make sure you pull it back far enough or the ball wont feed
-When you break a ball, which isnt to often, it is really hard to clean. You have to like take the whole thing apart and it takes awhile
-Beetle? what kind of name is that. It doesnt look to scary either
Conclusion:
Great gun. Only 15 bucks. Great for a newbie or a back up gun. comes with the hopper and elbow so you dont have to buy that. If your going to buy a cheap gun, dont buy a brass eagle, get this
Rating:
9 out of 10
