Strengths:
-Good looks
-Does what it is supposed to do
-Very solid feeling (heavy)
I have not had any problems with this drop. I ordered 2, a chrome and a blue, and they both worked fine and looked great. On/Off works fine. I just turn it until the gun gasses up and then torque it another quarter turn and it runs fine. It is a little hard to turn after the gun gasses up, but if you don't turn it a quarter turn, they can back themselves out and de-gas your gun. Bummer.
Weaknesses:
-Short (even though it is short...I'd prefer longer...it is perfect for an Emag. The battery on an Emag has to be taken off to be charged and with this drop, the battery, located in the foregrip, can be taken off with the drop still on. All you have to do is take the tank off and screw the on/off all the way in and the battery comes right off. The shortness of the drop is only bad if you want a longer drop. Wow, what a mouthful)
-It doesn't come with mounting screws
-Hard to turn after the gun gasses up
-A little expensive
I had to learn the hard way that you don't stop turning the on/off when the gun gasses up. Go another quarter turn and the thing works great. It is also a little hard to get to one of the allen screws that hold the on/off on the drop. No real biggie.
Conclusion:
I thought for such a small drop that $50 was a little on the high side. The drop works fine and looks great, so I'll just stop complaining. The drop has been on my Emag and my wife's RT Pro for a while now with no problems. If you have a 45/4500 or 45/3000 or another small tank, this is a really good drop to get. If you have a 114/4500, you might want to consider a bit longer drop.
GZ Intimidator w/ 68 45k Pure Energy HPA, System X drop forward w/ on off.
Strengths:
* Looks cool
* Has a hole on either side incase you want to line your hose up with your inline regulator. Also you can put a guage on the other side if you want to.
* You can slide the on/off valve back and forth on the little rail to get it just where you want it.
Weaknesses:
Well My on/off valve doesn't work for SH#$%%. Actually let me clarify, it works when you want to depress the pin valve but will not work when you want to release it so you have to unscrew your tank. Bummer. Also I found that I have to push the the liittle pin in the on/off valve back before I screw in my tank so it doesnt depress the pin valve in my tank.
Conclusion:
Well its a decent product. Why cant anyone ever make an on/off valve that friggin works right? Come on people this isn't hard. We can make guns that think but we cant make good on/off valves? Maybe mine is just weird but I doubt it.
It leaked the first time I gassed up my gun... bad o-ring. Its really easy to take apart and change the o-ring though. Still...annoying. I called system x about the leaking and kind of got the run-around with them transferring me from person to person for about 10 minutes. They finally said they would either send some o-rings or another on/off valve.
