Recommended Barrels:
I believe these balls are about a .688 bore, so .687-.689 bore sized barrels work best
Strengths:
- Consistent, every ball was essentially flawless
- Nice shell, not oily at all
- VERY good hardness, I didn't get any breaks but they broke on people well
- the fill is SOOOOOO bright. It's un-freaking-believably bright!!! After you shoot someone the liquid like solidifies into this paste then hardens again... it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to wipe, AWSOME!!!
Weaknesses:
- More friggin pricy than Marbs
- Few colors, but the colors they do have are insane
- Odd name...
Conclusion:
REALLY good paint, I'd use it all the time if I could afford 17.50 a bag. I'd recommend it very highly if you can get it for a good price. I'd give it a ten if it wasn't so damn much money
Brilliant colors, thick fill, not oily, little odor, as accurate as Diablo, with thicker fill. Shells are consistent, no ball breaks out of 5000 rounds.
Weaknesses:
Nothing... this is my first choice of paint brands. Hopefully I can help get the word out and more stores will stock it.
Conclusion:
I love this paint. It shoots strait, it breaks on target, the colors are the brightest I have ever seen. I am looking for a Chronic jersey, so I can advertise the best paint made and generate further interest from those I play with. I am telling any of my friends that I play with to buy this paint. It is the best.
RPS: All-Star, Marbs, El-Tigre, and Slamballs, JT, Atomic, All of the Diablo
Marker Setup:
2002 Blue Vert Cocker, Hinge Trigger, 14" Freak Kit, Xtreme Rage Grips, Oracle Tickler Reg, Black Magic Reg, 68cu 4500psi Armageddon. Rev Loader w/ X-Board
Recommended Barrels:
Freak or Boomstick
Strengths:
This paint is awesome I used 2 cases and didn't get a single break. The fill is so friggin bright it glows under a black light. It is very thick and you CANNOT wipe it! If you try and wipe this stuff all you do is smear it. I really like the colors.
Weaknesses:
Some of the seams could seen on a select few of the paint. But other then that great stuff.
Conclusion:
Nothing bad about this paint. Except the name "Chronic" I thought that was dumb. But they shoot amazing. If your looking for a High Quality tournament paint but don't wanna spend a lot of money this is the paint for you
This paintball has the brightest fills and is the thickest fill that I have seen.
You try to wipe this off after a game and all it does is smear and spread the colour around.
Probably the most accurate paintballs that I have every shot. Shooting from back bunker to back bunker and not only hitting the back player but having the ref beside me see it and pull the player as well.
Weaknesses:
The only bad thing is that I can't play with it everyday. All field and store owners out there you need to buy this paint to feed us addicts with the best of the best.
Conclusion:
I am not sure what the rest of the people on this site have been using or what they are thinking. Chronic is the best paint on the market and will soon be sweeping the Tournament Circuit with this kind of accuracy and brightness.
If you haven't tried it, do so, if you have, you will all know what I mean.
The fill is pretty bright. Not too thick, but bright.
Weaknesses:
Very inconsistant bore size. The chronic from skyball shot great out of my 687 freak, however the past few weeks I've shot it I had to use a 695, and even then was having some trouble with breaking. Its obvious zap whipped up a GOOD batch for skyball, then like all their other paints it went to crap. My team shot 7 cases of this stuff at a tourney a few weeks ago, all shooting 695 freaks and we all had breaking problems (on guns that are VERY gentle on paint).
Conclusion:
Not something I would buy again, I'll stick with Steel, thank you.
RPS marbs, JTmaxim's, Various Diablos, Mot paint out there, I've at least tested.
Marker Setup:
Phantom stock class and gravity feed. Nova 700. '02 Right feed cocker, SP AA barrel, Vigilante reg.
Recommended Barrels:
My AA shoots fine with them, so does my stock phantom barrel. Don't use in a brass barrel, for your sake.
Strengths:
They do shoot pretty nice, REALLY nice if you're comparing them to the original zap's. The Fill isn't too thin, it could be thicker though. Didn't get any breaks out of the AA, one out of the phantom, and my nova brass barrel raped the hell out of this paint.
Weaknesses:
The Name. Using the name "chronic" for any product besides some brand of hip-hop clothing is the stupidest thing I could imagine. Other thatn that, nothing too bad.
Conclusion:
I like the way this paint shoots, it shoots straight, dosen't break much in the barrel. I'd say it has an averave bounce-factor. I'm just embarrassed to use this product because it's called "chronic". Makes me feel like a stoner >=/.
Overall, I;d say it's some pretty good paint to use. I'd rather be shooting Maxim's or Marbs, but these are nice, I'd be happy if the only paint availiable at the time.
