Strengths:
I had this reg on my stock 2k2 cocker for a year. Not a single problem with it. It was very consistant, +/- 2or3. It is also very comfortible.
Weaknesses:
Nothin
Conclusion:
I love this reg. If it come on your cocker, in my opinion it dosnt need to be upgraded. It worked so good for me. It is probably the most comfortible reg out on the market.
Stock 2002 virticle feed worr games autococker, with custom products flame drop with an on and off adapter. A Pure Energy compressed air tank and a 9 volt revoulution hopper.
Strengths:
it is very comfortable on your hands and it works well with compressed air. its easy to take off. it gives consistant shots most of the time. its a good reg, but after a few months you should get a new reg, im probably getting an STO reg.
Weaknesses:
it freezes when you use Co2. some times your shots will drop.. and it looks kind of ugly. after a wile of using it the color starts to come off. besides all of this its a preety good reg.
Conclusion:
it a good stock regulator.... but after a while a new reg is needed, and thats ok because cockers our ment to upgrade. and you should use compressed air or else you hand will freeze.. but Co2 works just as good as compresed air.
9th generation red Bushmaster b2k with stuff
2k1 cocker with stuff
Strengths:
it came stock on my cocker which was pretty nice, its not that bad of a regulator, did a pretty good job regulating co2 and nitro for my freind, not for me
Weaknesses:
this reg didnt have the consistency i desired. it was probably because i never adjusted it, but with co2 (running remote) i was getting +/- 15 and with my crossfire (450 psi output) i was getting +/- 10 i let my freind borrow my cocker for a day and he told me he was getting +/- 2 out of his crossfire (850 psi output). the anno job is pretty thin, it wears away after a while, you could tell who plays alot because the front of their reg starts to look gray.
Conclusion:
its a nice stock reg, but dont go out and pay 70 bucks for it. for about 60, you can get a air america vigilante, which is a very nice regulator. The stock reg from my bushy gets me +/- 5 usually
good reg. everyone is all like yeah you gotta upgrade everything on the stock cocker and it is true but this should be one of the LAST things you upgrade on it. its a good reg, consistant, does what it needs to do. i get about +/- 5-10 depending on day which isnt bad...great forgrip nice and comfy.
Weaknesses:
ugly compared to ANS and alike regs. but almost as consisitant too...
Conclusion:
good reg. not worth spending 100 bucks for a stab or a ans right away. first upgrade the barrel and frame and all the other crap. this should be your last worry.
x chambers, stock spyder regulators on shutter. nothing else used but i know a lot about them, read about pros cons ect form many dif sources
Marker Setup:
Spyder E99 Black and Chrome
-Crosfire 68ci 3000psi Fiber Wrapped Nitro
-Black Loc Sok Skins with Custom "Mid-Tank" Protection Shield
-Lapco Chrome Drop Forward
-WGP Stock Cocker Regulator
-Black Macroline Hose w/ Straight Connector and 90* Connector
-14 in Dye Boomstick
-Custom trigger job-about 1 mm pull
-12 vlt X-Board Smoke Revvy
Strengths:
-cheap, i payed 70 but you can get them for like 30 online/ebay, or as little as 15 if you are friends with or know someone with a cocker who doesnt need it anymore
-works great on nitro, better than expected
-works good on co2, my nitro tank was messed up so i had to use co2 fro a day and i chronied at 273 280 280 277, pretty dam good with co2 (havent chronied with nitro yet)
-black, so goes wiht any marker
-doesnt have a gauge. its a plus for me cuz i like the feel of a grip, and a gauge would get in the way. i may drill and tap my asa and put a gauge in there. if u know how to do this or have a site that knows email me at Brian_Lynch@nobles.edu
-hose come out of the bottom. two good things, not get in the way of the grip and you can use only a small amount of macroline. i was able to cut a stnadard one in half and use one half as a spare (they both are long enough) in case one blows out.
-wgp has great customer service. the one i got was not tapped for threads on the end cap so i couldnt screw the hose in. i call ed them at 4:00 thursday eastern time. they are in california. by 10 am the next morning i had a brand new end cap at my front door, for free-no shipping either, i didnt have to prove that i got a bad one wiht a receipt or anything (i could have lost it and said it wasnt tapped for threads and got a new one), and a note of apology.
Weaknesses:
-not externally adjustable, have to disconnect the gas or get an on off valve to change reg. its annoying to set it up custom to your marker.
- the reg is REALLY hard to take off of the va. the reg comes in three pafrts, and the upper part which is just an empty vaccum is imposible to get off of my va, so i just levae it on.
-also the bottom part, the end cap, you HAVE to take it off when screwing in the hose or you will end up wrenching it down so tight on the main section of the reg that you wont be able to get it off. even if u dont understand, believe me, i scrathed mine to all hell making a custom vice to get the end cap off the main section.
Conclusion:
its a great reg, one of the most under-estimated regs in paintball. i have no need for anythign beter than this. a gauge would be a nice accesory, but ill prob just tap my va and put one in there (once again if u know how let me know). it is a nice foregrip, whihc most regs arent. i give it a 8, on my sclae. as far as quality it gets about a 8.5 but i have to take of alittle for not being externally adjustable. but since everything else here is overrated, based on the scale of pbreview.com items, i give it a 9, so when comparing it to the ratings of other regs on this ite, i give it a 9
