12 Revvy w/ x-board. The revvy is OK for most guns, but the Halo B blows it out of the water.
Angel Impact IR3 w/ silver to black dust fade, SS Freak, 14" AA tip, or Ti Boomstick, Cobra bolt, SS buttons, Cobra fang grip, 68/4500 new style MaxFlo, Smart parts drop.
The Halo B is very well made and durable. It appears to be made of thick plexiglass, instead of normal plastic like most other loaders. It's very smooth working, and its "eye" is very efficient and can tell when a ball is present, Unlike my 12v Revvy which would spin a lot, even when it was full of paintballs. The lid on the Halo B snaps down nice and tight. Some guys get mad that the neck is too big and has to be sanded down, but I appreciate the fact that it's made like that, so that it will fit tight inside different feed tubes. If you have a Dremmel tool with a sanding drum, you should be able to sand it down to size in no time. It only took me 5 minutes to make it fit inside the feed tube of my Angel. This is a great loader. I consider it the best! I got my smoke Halo B brand new from a dealer on Ebay for $110 shipped.
It's a little heavy with all the batteries in it. I wish that somebody could make a way to hook Intellifeed to it; It would be a lot lighter (no batteries). Don't use paintballs with black shells. The "eye" won't see the ball, and it will keep spinning and burn up the motor (so I've heard). It's a little big because of the big motor and the way it feeds. SOmetimes the little rubber on/off button is hard to push with gloves on. The button could be bigger. I wish it held a few more paintballs. Some guys complain about having to sand the neck, but at least you don't have to wrap tape around it to make it fit tight in the feedneck. Tip: If you accidentally sand off too much, you can get some Superglue Gel and put it on the neck and spread it all around with something, then let it dry. It will add a little thickness to the neck and make it fit tighter.
It's a great loader. Smooth and Quiet. Very well made, and Very fast! It always keeps the balls coming. This is a big step up from a revvy. Definitely worth the money. It comes with a good warranty. Odyssey has great customer service. This hopper should last a long time. The belt drive is great. It doesn't double feed like the Halo A would on some guns. It's a little big and heavy compared to other loaders, but it's fast and reliable. I wouldn't use anything else. But watch out for the new loader that's coming out, called the "Corkscrew".
9V revvy, 12V revvy, pray and shake. Diffrent types of props and sound activated junk..add ons.
01' Angel C&C, System X Drop, Kapp, Halo B
Fly's, comparable size to others, quiet, shell and neck are thick. Works much like the warp feed. You can actually shoot a few balls upside down.
If you don't use lithium AA batteries, it will be much heavier than other loaders.
6 lithium AA's cost me $ 15. Pro shop guy said, they ought to last me 30k shots. It took some considerable sanding to fit my high rise.
By far the best I've ever used. I haven't out shot it yet. It looks like an old Buick.
Spend the cash... If your tired of fooling around with trash.
Gen2 B2k- CP or J&J Ceramic barrel, AGD Flatline, Red valve, Chaos board Wetworx bolt.
97 autococker - All Alkamp internals, all palmer front pneumatics, WGP hinge and custom milled by G3PB.
Bob Long Intimidator- Currently Stock.... Not for long though. ;)
94 Air Power Vector- Dezigns Custom modded O-ring bolt.
Where do I begin? The HALO is without doubt the greatest loader ever invented. Some may disagree, but either their doing something wrong or there is something wrong with their equipment.
My Bushmaster was a blendmaster until I got the Halo "A" which resolved 99%% of the problems I had with than marker. I had a 12v Revvy on it originally and it was worthless with the speed of the Chaos. I wont even discuss the eVLution and the problems I had there.
I recently upgraded from the HALO "A" to the HALO "B", and just when I thought I couldn't be any more impressed I was BLOWN AWAY. As a test I took crappy factory seconds, loaded up my HALO "B", maxed out my chaos (18.2 BPS) and went to town on the trigger. out of an entire hopper fanning the trigger as fast as I could I had NO chops. The HALO "B" is leaps and bounds ahead of it's competition. Not that it really matters but now that it is belt fed it is soooo much quieter than the "A" model was.
1) It is a few ounces heavier than other loaders, but as soon as you have it on your marker and you start ripping away on it, you will realize that a few extra ounces are a small price to pay for this big of a performance jump.
2) It is a bit expensive, but hey you get what you pay for.
The HALO "B" is making me go against my #1 rule for writing reviews "nothing is a 10, there is always room for improvement" but really there just isn't. The weight is what it is, and after checking it all out there is really no way to reduce it without using cheap or flimsy materials. The cost... It's worth it. This is unquestionably the best loader money can buy.
On a side note, I had nothing but excellent service from them when I sent my HALO "A" in to be upgraded to a "B". Edward was super friendly, and everyone I dealt with there was more than willing to help and answered my E-mailed questions promptly. Good product, Good service.... Seems like a rarity these days.
If you are running a marker with an extremely high ROF this is the only hopper that will do it justice. 18 BPS on my Chaos B2K, with no chops or misfires and No ACE is mighty impressive.
I just cant say enough good about Odyssey and their HALO.
2k1 cocker, Shocktech RF milled, red... RED valve, REX kit, Evolution Ram, Tickler LPR, HollowPoint 4-way, Gladiator inline reg, WGP hinge, SupaFly bolt, ST 2k backblock, ST cocking rod, ST long drop, Kapp On/Off
Sent my Halo-A in for the upgrade and a smoke shell.
100%% worth it.
The guy below me is obviously retarded and a bit biased.
For one, this hopper will consitently load 22bps (filled a 140pod in 5 seconds) and there is no way to outshoot it with a semi-auto marker. This was made to keep up with Raceguns and GZ timmys.
-Lighter than the original
-New shells are incredible
-Reliable forcefeed and anti-jam
-Spring loaded paddle for anti-break
-Push button once to turn ON, tap button to check if ON... Hold button to turn OFF
-Quiet, MUCH quieter than the original.
I forgot to turn this on before a game and was easily able to turn it on while running for my bunker. Nerve racking, but I did it before I got there and was impressed with the new on/off setup.
Anyone having trouble with blowback need not worry about it with this hopper, it will counter any amount of air going up the feed neck so you'll get a reliable feed despite that.
NEVER worry about chopping paint, there's always a ball ready in the breach. If you get a break, check your paint match, I'll bet it broke in the barrel.
It's a bit heavier than any other hopper I've used, but worth it. Still not outstandingly heavy.
The butt end of it has a higher profile than a Revvy, but the top sits lower.
Takes 6 AA batteries... Doesn't bother me, I use Rayovac Rechargables.
Doesn't hold much more than a Ricochet, maybe a little more than 180 balls tops. Same as a Ricochet (only 180 realistically speaking)
Feed neck usually needs to be sanded to fit in a VF body, I sanded the inside of a stock BOSS elbow and stuffed it in there to avoid defacing this beautiful shell. An adjustable elbow works too. An adjustable VF feed neck would be perfect for this loader.
A real PAIN to clean if a ball breaks in there, so be careful when loading your paint.
Can't feed on low batteries. use rechargables.
You want speed, looks, reliable feeding, and a status symbol, this is the hopper for you.
You want something slower, lighter, smaller, get a Turbo/X-Board revvy or the Ricochet 2k.. the LCD Ricochet is a waste of money.
Revvy 12v--Good but easy to outshoot on electros.
VL200--If you have a slow marker it's fine, but it really can't keep up.
PCV Pipe--Really fast feed rates, really stupid.
2k2 cocker, 2k2 all american barrel, 12v revvy, nitro, not much else....
Fast...just really fast.
Quiet, really cool design that looks great. Heavy but well balanced. Cool features like a little bead thing that prevents it from rotating when paint is gone. Pretty quiet...just the nicest hopper you can get, no more chops.
I think it may have broken a paintball inside the hopper and it seems hard to clean. Tries to feed sometimes even when it doesn't need to. Can't use black paint I hear. Expensive....really expensive.
Best hopper you can buy. If you have an electro you'll really want this thing. No more worrying about firing too fast, cause I have outfed my revvy before. I wouldn't be worried about chopping when firing this.
The is the fastest loader on the market and will consistently feed 4 balls faster than a warp feed. It's so nice to know that you won't skip a shot while on the field. It's very sleek , easy to operate, and well feed so fricken fast you won't notice that your hopper is empty.
It's heavy. Yea....it won't be hard to adjust, but it's heavy. I play front and plan on getting a twister low rise feed tube cuz even though it's the same height as a revy, it has a alot more surface area so lowering it to the gun would be a good idea to reduce hopper shots.
Buy it! You won't be sorry. It's the best hopper available and you will never skip a shot again! Remember, don't use paintballs that have black on them anywhere, the HALO sensor won't be able to "see them". ;)
Matrix with Trinity LPR, Aardvark Red Bolt kit, Aardvard 45 Grip frame, Aardvark red, white, and blue stickie grips, Aardvark switch trigger, Enigma red low rise, red back plate, Black CP flame drop forward w/ red asa, 16in Dye Boomstick, and Nitro Duck 90ci 4500 psi
It is faster than a warp feed and no more double feeding on my Matrix. I got a Red shell for it and it looks so nice on my red and black matrix. Can easily keep up with my matrix without a even tryin. Belt driven makes it quieter and dosen't turn it into a blender when there is a jam.
It is a little heavy but its nothing you can't get use to. The price for a HALO B from the factory is $140 with black shell $150 for a colored shell, and if you want the upgrade its $30 for the change over and $50 for a new shell so if you find a cheap HALO go and get the change over and a shell or if not then just get the whole thing.
The Halo B is the best thing out there why get a warp feed when you still need a hopper just the HALO B which can feed 22bps which is 2 bps faster than a warp and then you have no bulky thing on the side. I would highly recommend the HALO B to ever player that has a fast gun and is considering a warp feed. I give it a 10 cause it is going to revalutionalive paintball and is a better alternative to the old warp feed which still is good.
