This scope rail works really nicely if you have a stock on your marker and can't get close enough to the top of the gun to use stock sights. The only problem on the a-5 is that the hopper is still in the way but this can be fixed by modifying the hopper. A jt flex mask also works great with this product. Go buy one of these and you won't be disappointed.
Conclusion:
This is a great product with no apparent weaknesses. I'm happy that I decided to purchase this and it seems sturdy so I'll probably be happy about the purchase for years to come.

Review:
The Sight Rail works how it should (just sits on top of the dovetail mounting rail). It gives you a lil added height just to mount a scope on, or to use as a carry handle. (I can only fit 3 out of 4 fingers inside the handle). IT also has a hole in it you could put a lanyard through (might hang loose & interfere with the gun though).
Conclusion:
Good if you can find a way to get rid of the hopper & mount a scope or laser dot sight/laser dot. Gets an 8 for a lil too small for my hands, & still will interfere with line of sight by hopper.

Review:
This sight rail is mainly for looks. Due to the hopper location you would still have a problem mounting a sight onto it without the hopper getting in the way of your view. But the added realistic looks of this sight rail and the fact that it can now also be used as a handel makes it well worth the $25.00
Conclusion:
If you have all the needed upgrades and are waiting for the LP kit to come out, but love modding your gun, get it.
