I will be firm on this. This is strickly a SUPER BEGINNER gun. If you get a 12 oz tank with it and a 200 hopper, you will have fun with it in the neighborhood bush, providing all your buddies have the same gun. It's cheap but man, if you're thinking of playing for real, save up an extra 75 to 100$ and get a Spyder or Tippman, its a HUGE difference.
Good back up, maybe, only if you made the mistake of buying one in the first place.
Weaknesses:
Accuracy it horrible, you'll waste alot of paint trying to hit your target.
It's all plastic, ( of course, you get what you pay for )
It's made by Brass Eagle, and in my opinion, Brass Eagle is making a joke out of the industry.
Only good for casual playing.
Conclusion:
It's brass eagle, I think nobody should buy fron them period, but, for all you extreme newbies out there looking for a gun that will work for playing in your local bush, , You COULD get away with this marker
It is an overall good starter gun it is not bad on Co2 and it also doesn't break balls as often as other guns I've played with. The gun is really well built, meaning that it can take alot of abuse (Example: one day when me and my friends were playing we had two Stingrays and three Raptors plus two Point Zero Model 83's and Three Sheridan VM-68's with all new internals, The stingrays and the Model 83's and one VM-68 were the only guns firing after 2 hours of playing) Also the gun is pretty accurate with fairly good range when the velocity is adjusted properly.
Weaknesses:
The only bad thing that I've found is the barrel and the way it's attached to the gun but I solved that problem by wrapping Duct Tape around the slot and then putting the barrel back in.
Conclusion:
Overall the gun is a really good starter gunand i think its a good deal and maybe it doesn't compare to other guns (pirana's, Tippmans and Spyders) but what do you expect for 90 dollars
well... the gun works. I've killed many people with it. You can shoot crappy paintballs without it breaking
Weaknesses:
the gun barrel sucks and can't be replaced. the paintballs curve like crazy. its practically made of plastic. about every other shot you have to recock the gun
Conclusion:
well, it can't shoot great, upgrades are very hard to find. it should be worth cheaper than it is. the gun is and will probably the worst semi auto around, and doesn't work good at all at paintball ranges. i would recomend it to people who are new at paintball, but it would be best to get a new and better one
I Bought this gun because it was cheap. It still is cheap and it sucks worse then a leech. There is nothing good except it is the cheapest semi out there.
Weaknesses:
There is alot of flaws on this gun.
1. Has a plastic case.
2.Short non changable barrel.
3. The trigger sucks and does not always work.
4.It Eats up alot of co2 very Quikly.
5. It breaks alot of balls
6.It is very hard to clean.
7.it has a short range compared to other semis
8.It all so has a low ROF
Conclusion:
I would only reccomend this gun if you cant afford a better gun.
I dont think it is worth the money. Your best bet is to save up for a better gun.
When i bot this gun i did not know what i was doing.
In the class of semi-autos it is the worst gun ever.
Brass eagle should put more effort in the desighn of there guns.
-I think over all its a good gun the
-CO2 dosn't leak that much because I take care of my gun
-It shoots up to 50 feet
-if you have a good barrel it shoots strait
-It is the cheapest semi to repair
Weaknesses:
-sometimes the paintball bust
-not that fast for shooting
-the tank may come out and you lose a little air
-jams from time to time
-dosnt shoot as far as other guns
Conclusion:
I think this gun is good for me because we play in a forest and we dont play stupid speed ball but when we did we bet the best in San Angelo TX but I am a sniper for my team we are the green beans and I have killed people with angels and other guns I really dont think it depends on the gun that much but on the person using the gun but ya if i had an angel i would wope but i dont and plan to stick to the gun because over all i am a good paintball player and recommend that only the best buy this gun
and to all the people who say it sux i think they arent good enough or dont know enough about the game because i have been playing for three years
This gun isnt all that great. its accuracy could be much better and it coming with a 3 inch barrel doesnt help the accuracy one bit. I have no problem with the Plastic. If it brakes a ball its hard as Hell to clean. If you do brake a ball just throw it away and buy a new one.
Weaknesses:
This gun isnt aloud on most Feilds because its so cheap. If you intend on going to a feild with this gun think again. Just keep the gun home and waiting for a Paintball war with friends in the middle of no where.
Conclusion:
I dont feel like typing anymore but Buy a Tippmann 98. Play safe wear protection
i give this gun a 3 because you cant use it on organized feilds. =C( Brass Eagle should try a little harder
Cheap price for beginer, can be found just about anywhere to buy (wal-mart, Kmart, etc) for those who dont have a local paintball store. simple to tear down/maintain, decent on co2.
Weaknesses:
Very loud, bulky plastic, accuracy is way off, breaks paint often, Very hard to get parts from stores unless you order them.
Conclusion:
This was the gun I started with 3+ yrs ago and it was fun for just $hitting around w/ friends in the woods. But for the cost if you have a store near you add the extra $30-$50 to get a Tippman, Pirhana, etc. as a recreational starter gun, you wont regret that descision.
This is a great gun for the price. It is made of a virtually indestructable polymer. new parts are dirt cheap, with a little bit of searching i found upgrades for all the major parts. this is a great gun for anyone who plays for fun with friends in a large wooded area. the gun is accurate enough with the Brass eagle 12 inch barrel to have a lot of fun with. Also you will have more money in your pocket to buy paint and CO2. Plus you don't have the high amount of maintenance that you do with more expensive guns. i also like tha balance on the gun. unlike the new samurai this gun has good balance which makes aiming easier.
Weaknesses:
the bad points of this product are that you need the upgraded barrel to have any accuracy. also they include a CO2 cartride adapter. It is pointless to use it get a 9oz tank it makes for a good stock. also the gun has no bottom line on it. the gun is loud but if you are playing for fun who cares?
Conclusion:
All in all it is a good gun for anyone who wants to play but not spent $600 to get a tournament grade gun. a few aftermarket mods are a necessity but most guns are the same way even the $500 ones. Anyone who claims that one gun is better than another is full of s**t. If you have a gun that you are comfortable with and shoot well with, then getting a gun you are not used to will hurt you accuracy big time.
- the gun is soo bad its almost good
- if i ever need a new doorstop, ill know were to look
Weaknesses:
-the weapon is so inaccurate...that it shoots at 90 degree angle so if i want to shoot myself in the head all i have to do is point the gun to the right.
- the trigger is so bad that every time i pull it, it gives me a 3 inch gash on my finger and i almost bled to death.
- the gun is made out of the same material it was packaged in!!
- it is a Brass eagle product !!!
Conclusion:
this gun is soo horrible it doesent even deserve to be in a vending machine!!! Even the ones that are rigged
I bought mine used from a friend for 40 bucks, ya cant beat that. I used it stock for awhile without a single ball break or jam in about 500 rounds. I visited S.T.I.N.G., which I am now a member of (www.stinggroup.addr.com) and found HUNDREDS of mods to do to it. Now Ive modified it with a vertical CO2 tank mount, a custom made stock, red dot sight AND scope, polished internals, foregrip, 4 cell ex chamber, laser sight, and a double trigger. I even took a barrel off of a Tigershark and made it fit and now this gun is as accurate as anything you rich pricks may have on a Cocker, Shocker, AT, or anything else. I even modified it with a Talon bolted under the barrel (overkill maybe, but its there for a backup gun) where its accessible and ready to go. You can do ANYTHING to this gun, they dont call it The Tinkerer's Gun for nothing. With all of the mods custom done by myself for less than 75 bucks for em all, this is a great gun if you like to tinker and come up with new ideas. AWESOME GUN!!! Great for any newbie or ANYONE as far as Im concerned. Ill take on a Cocker, Spyder, or anything else any day. It is just as formidable an opponent as anything 4 times its price.
-Cheap
-Tough
-Accurate
-Light
-Most upgradable marker on the market anywhere
Weaknesses:
The only bad thing about this gun is the rate of fire and the noise. But I fixed both of those on mine easily and inexpensively. By polishing the internals and doing a mod to limit the trigger pull I made the fire rate as fast as any Spyder or any other semi. Also, get a piece of that foam insulation stuff that they put on the crotch bar of bikes, wrap it around your barrel, and cover the whole works with duct tape, and you have a silencer that makes the gun so quiet the only audible sound is the action working. Any problem you may have stock, I can fix for real cheap. (check out hundreds of inexpensive mods at www.stinggroup.addr.com)
-Loud (can be fixed)
-Slow fire rate (can be fixed)
-Long trigger pull (can be fixed)
Conclusion:
This gun is definitly a contender straight out of the box. It's tough, wont break balls, accurate, and light weight. Once you do the mods (all can be done for CHEAP) it can hold its own against anything anyone at the local field may throw against it. It is definitely the most upgradable marker you can buy. I would recommend it to ANYONE!!!
