The most padded neck protection available.
Wearing this neck protector takes some getting used to. I'm a small guy and this protector is a bit large. I had to add a bit of velcro teeth to make it fit my small neck.
It's also a bit tall, which may annoy some people. Just wear it a bit loose and you'll be fine.
It definitely protects your neck. I've been shot in the neck and didn't realize it until after the game was over. In that respect, I suppose it does exactly what it's built to do. Protect your neck.
However, the inside of it is kind of quilted, which means that it gets very hot. There are some venting holes in the back, but it still gets pretty hot.
As for durability, I have had no problems with washing it in the washing machine. Of course throwing it in the dryer might damage it (you shouldn't be putting any of your paintball gear in the dryer anyways). It's still in tip-top shape after a year. But I am considering punching some more holes in it for more ventilation.
The most protection you can get. But hot, and kind of large.
This is pretty good product but I no longer use it because i have realized the fact that i may get hit in the neck and its just part of the game and to take it like a champ. One thing I have realized was that after washing it a few times the material on the inside begins to fray. Like around the vent holes.
Great if you want to avoid those unsightly bruises. But because its deteriorates fast I give it a 8
For as long as I have played the game, I've been hit on every part of my body. And I think getting shot in the neck comes in as a Third as being most painful! (First is getting shot *there* before I decided to wear a cup, second being shot in the ear at a time when wearing shop goggles was acceptable!)
Recently, I have done a game and I took a direct hit on the side of my neck. I did not even feel it and I argued with a ref when he told me I was out. So yes, this product works!
People say it looks ugly: See how ugly that welt is in the morning when you get hit in the neck!
Bulky? Again, better YOU then me!
Too tight? Can't breath? You have it on too tight! You Can Loosen it up a bit! OMG!
It's really the player's choice whether or not they want to use this. It's also a choice for male players whether or not to wear a cup too! LOL This product works. It does stop painful shots to the neck.

When I first got this I had an other lighter neck protector that I gave away. At first I thought I had made a mistake, but on the field I don't even know it is there. I have taken hits at close range direct that might have gotten past smaller neck protectors. Also built to last construction
I would recommend this to any adult. It is wide and will not be confortable on someone with a really short neck

well, I tried using mine for one game, and i couldnt do it. it wasnt that comfortable. I have a small nec, however, and i think that plays in it a little. The material they used for the part that touches your neck is a lot like a duffel bag material, and it just doesnt feel good.
it really is meant for people who have larger necks. I suggest you get shot in the neck at least once before you decide you want one.
