nice black finish on barrel. spiral ported. SmartParts Logo on barrel. Nice looking barrel. Excellent Accuracy! Increased range!
Weaknesses:
Ball breakage in this barrel is hard to clean out. I have only had one break in the barrel using Brass eagle Paint.
Conclusion:
I have a Stingray II and I previously had a EagleWorks 12" barrel. I broke 2 balls using that barrel out of 400 Brass Eagle rounds. Even with a clean barrel I noticed the balls were curving off when aiming for long range targets.
With the Smart Parts Progressive barrel I can now consistently hit targets with deadly accuracy at close range, and pick off targets at long range! I got increased range and accuracy. My Stingray shoots just as good as my friends Spyder TL Plus w/Smart Parts Progressive barrel. If your looking for a good barrel for the stingray II, I highly recomend the SP progressive 12". Ball breakage is a pain in the arse with this barrel. Then again its a pain in the arse with any ported barrel especially the teardrop! I hate breaking balls with that barrel.
Price is good. With good paint will shoot as good as any other barrel.
Weaknesses:
Doesn't shoot OK paint as good as a staged barrel.
Conclusion:
I like all americans better, but for a cheap barrel it's definitely worth it. RP premium shoots really nice out of it. I think it's as good as a Boomstick (don't have good luck with them I guess), but alittle below a top end SP's barrel.
Looks good and very accurate. Nice design and quiet. Way better than the stock barrel on my Bruizer Outlaw. Nice gas efficency.
Weaknesses:
The logo is upside down on my gun....thats it!!!
Conclusion:
Nice and quiet and very gas efficent. it is accurate and doesn't break balls. It did break a few in extreme cold weather where my boomstick didnt but other than that it is a good barrel. get this if it is your first upgrade. you will not regret it
I got this barrel from my friend for $35 when he upgraded to a. all american tear drop. The barrel is great and gives my friends tear drop a run for its money. Once my velocity spiked really high and I broke 3 balls in a row and then the velocity went back to normal. I shot about 4 more balls through it and the barrel cleared about 90 percent of the paint out and the accuracy and range was back to normal. great barrel for the price. It fits almost all guns too.
Weaknesses:
Well it only comes in black so for all you splash, fade andonized tricked out shocker owners you might want the all american tear drop to match your gun. It also only comes in 12 in.
Conclusion:
I would reccommend this barrel to anyone looking to uograde their barrel it has the range and accuracy everyone needs it also works great on medium bore paints ( Zap, Point Blank, Big Ball)and it rings in at the good price of about $35.
I got this barrel for $36!!! And for that money I could not believe how much quieter and more accurate my Autococker was after I put it on. It was almost silent even on the small indoor field I was playing at! And the accuracy was nothing but dead on!
Weaknesses:
Hmmmm.... not much. Its not the most accurate barral out there, but for accuracy and quitness I think its got to be about the best of both worlds.
Conclusion:
This is definetly worth the money, and is comparible to $80-$100 barrels! I think it is very cool looking, especially on my Cocker. I recommend this to anyone who wants to buy a new quiet and accurate barrel. Works great with medium bore paintballs. A great barrel!
This is a pretty good barrel, esp if its your first barrel
upgrade. Its cheap ( I got it for 40 at I&I sports) and if
firse really nice. It fires pretty silently and pretty
accurate. The barrel is a medium bore size, and with the
paints that I shot (Zap) it didn't cut or break one ball.
It also looks kinda cool, with the porting in a spiral at
the tip along with the logo of SP and the progressive logo,
it adds to the overall attractiveness of barrel.
Weaknesses:
The bad part to this barrel is not with the accuracy, which
is good, or the range which is also pretty good, but with
the cosmetics of the barrel. What I mean by that is that it
only comes in 12'' and only in black. If you want a 14'' or
another color, then you might want to go for tha all
american, or the tear drop, because all of these barrel
perform just about the same, given that the other SP
barrels have color and more selection in the cosmetic area.
Conclusion:
I would reccommend this barrel to anyone who wants an
upgrade from a stock barrel. I would also reccommend this
barrel to anyone who wants a very good barrel, with good
accuracy and range for an affordable price. This is a good
barrel, with great accuracy and range, and at a great price.
The only bad part of this barrel is thefact that it only
comes in black and 12'', that doesn't bother me one bit,
and if it doesn't bother youy and you're looking for a
great barrel, then get the smart parts progressive barrel.
