Review:
Anybody who has ever owned or shot a Chipley Custom Machine product as asked themselves, "Where do I begin?" when writing a review of CCM stuff. Here it goes...
The first CCM product I purchased was a Series 5 pump gun. I was looking for a good pump and initially set out after a Sterling STP. After talking to some serious pumpgunners (Dan at BunkerBoyz) I found out that Sterlings were good, CCM's were the Holy Grail of pump guns (this is not an exageration). My only concern was the pricetag. The cost of a Sterling STP was between $200 and $250. This was kind of a lot for someone who's only pump experience was old Benjamin Sheridan guns (fine guns indeed, still not a Chipley). The Series 5 pump weighed in at $365. This was more than I wanted to spend, but figured I could probably get my money out of it if I didn't like it. I found a Chipley dealer on the internet (they are also factory direct) and ordered two up, one for me and one for my best friend, also a paintball enthusiast.
While waiting for the guns I must say I was skeptical, but enthusiastic. This was supposed to be a hot stuff Sniper. My concern was this, "How much better than a Sniper could it be? Did it justify the cost?". Then the package showed up. I had the gun shipped to the paintball store my friends and I worked in so that we could chrono it and set it up without any problems or part constraints.
I opened the box and looked at this absolutely jet black cocker clone with this giant pump on the front of it and a wierd linkage connecting the pump arm to the triggerframe (autotrigger). I picked up the gun and was immediately impressed with the weight. Super light and well balanced. I turned the gun toward the ceiling so as to keep the muzzle in a safe direction and I kid you not, the gun cocked itself. I almost made a mess in my pants. The entire store full of seasoned paintball players were in complete awe. The only word uttered was, "Wow!". Any review or statement as to the smoothness of the action on this marker is shotty at best and does not do it justice. Do not confuse "smooth" with "sloppy." There is nothing sloppy about Chipley guns. They are the most precise piece of equipment you will ever see or experience. Since the purchase of my first Series 5's, I've bought seven other CCM guns, and sold everything else I owned. I play pump gun tourneys almost exclusively and have turned countless people into CCM owners and believers.
I took this gun out and shot it with the stock barrel, Smart Parts Freak Kit, and standard All American. No joke, the factory aluminum 12 inch barrel (with sizers) outshot both Smart Parts barrels. The only barrel that has outdone the factory barrel is the CCM carbon fiber barrel kit. It is now all I play with. Needless to say the accuracy on this gun is unreal. By far the most accurate paintball gun I've ever shot. The consistency at the chrono with a broken in factory CCM regulator is +/- 3 feet per second.
I've not had one problem with this gun. Its parts and design are backed by the best lifetime warranty in the sport. My only warranty issue was a used gun I bought off eBay didn't work at all when I got it. Rather than mess with it, I just sent the gun back to the factory and Rod Thompson rebuilt the entire thing with all new internals, and a new ram. The entire rebuild cost me the seven dollars to ship it to them. They rebuilt it and paid to send it back. Their customer service is the best.
I could rant and rave about CCM's guns all night, not just the Series 5. My Series 6 showed up at the door yesterday and I'll be reviewing that in a few weeks. Go buy one and check it out for yourself. You will believe.
Conclusion:
The best guns on the planet, because CCM is the best company on the planet. You'll see! I give it a ten because I can't give it any higher.
Well, this is one of the nicest pumps i have ever used. Heres how its breaked down:
Looks: Heck yeah, this is a nice pump, why you say that, just stock black it looks nice. Well crafted and just looks nice. Comes with the CCM clamping feedneck, a nice regulator, a delrin backblock... SWEET!!!!
Performance: The speed and the mauverability of this thing is nice...
I mean nice. The CCM pump kit, one of the best made is buttery smooth. For it has nothing to do with the hammer assembly unlike nelson based pumps (CCI, Carter) IF you get a series 5 with the autotrigger kit,oh man, be prepared to hose even the semi players down.
Maintanece: Know how to work an autococker, good then, thats what it is basically...
It's more of a private labled sniper 2. It's easy to upkeep, just make sure the bolts good, and your ready to roll.
Durability/Use
These things are durable. The pump kit can withstand a lot of hard pumping done. There are two stablizing rods in the pump guide so you'll always chamber a ball smoothly.
Compared to a Phantom:
If you know me, i run through a lot of phantoms. I am a CCI fanboy. Yes i am. Phantoms are great for stockclass. But, slightly suffer in open pump class for one, i don't like the deisgn when i use a hopper like a revvy with the phantom. The pump stroke is not always smooth on a phantom, that, comes with time. The nice thing about phantoms is the weight, its easy to load 10 rounds and go. Slides are done, rolls, etc.
The Series V, on the other hand is also very nice. Out of the box, it's smooth stroking. It can be ran on 12 grams, but with a series V, you dont have a stock class feed for it, like the SS-25's have. Thus, it's most of the time spends it life as a Open pump class marker. I run a 45/4500 tank on it, with a revvy. It gets the distance like any other cocker with a nice barrel. I whip out this thing for the days i want to hose paint, and yet conserve it at the same time. With the agressiveness i play, i really don't like sliding with this, why, it's a bit hefty for a pump. I meanSeries 5+ revy full of paint+ 2 pods+ 45/4500 tank compared to my stock class set up, phantom+3.5 oz, 10 ten round tubes+ t-stock
totally a difference in weight.
Bottomline: :tup: its a nice pump for open class, if you want to do stock class too, get a ss-25...
Conclusion:
One of the nicest pumps made using the best of Chipley. Great for open play, but not for stock class play. If you want a nice stock class set and yet switch between styles, get either a phantom or a ss-25 for more options....
None, maybe a barrel, but the stock barrel is dang good.

Well I finally broke down & bought a CCM series V. I'm not much into bling , I held out for a long time. Maybe part of me knew that it would ruin me.. It has. I have never had a pump that was so smooth , words cant describe it , buttery is selling it short. Very consistant no more than +/- 5 fps max. Solid accuracy I think better than any other pump that I have ever owned. With the speed of the pump stroke and the autotrigger I have no problem going against mech semi's. I havent had any issues with the marker yet , but I can already tell buy what I have seen that the CCM guys will do right by me if I ever do have an issue.
Conclusion:
With how great this marker is I cant help but feel that any marker from CCM will be good. If you can get your hands on a series V get it. they quitely get the job done with a classic low key style. Kind of like a black tux .

I received the gun in a padded white box. It included the gun, barrel, .690 barrel adaptor, Barrel Condom, Stickers, Oil, Allen Keys, and the Bottomo line kit I ordered which included a mini-rail, 2 90* Macro Swivels, 1 ft. Macroline, and a On/Off ASA. The gun when pumped is super smooth, and is super small. The pump is super comfy, and is very grippy for fast pumping. The bolt is half delrin. All the parts on the gun are hand made at CCM. The trigger IMO is not set nice from the factory. I had to pull the trigger really hard to get it to shoot. When you flip the gun upside down, you will notice a set screw in the trigger guard. After some adjustment of this, the gun was perfect for me. It fired at the begining of the pull and was uber smooth the rest of the way thru. The barrel shoots my choice of paint fine (X-Ball Silver). For 370 you cant get a better deal. This is definately one of my fav. pump guns.
Conclusion:
I beleive CCM did a excellent job. Dont let the simple look fool yo, this is one of the nicest and smoothest pumps I have ever shot. I highly reccomend this gun to any pump player wanting to get a affordable super pump. GREAT JOB CCM!

This marker is great. It is so smooth to shoot. The guys a CCM were cool to deal with and upgrading the auto-trigger and changing the feed neck. I wasn't sure what to expect with this gun since it is their Budget model. Let me tell you the only thing budget about this marker is the looks. Out of the box there was little to do but put the bottom line on and pick the sleeve for my paint. It chronoed at 301, 299, 300, 298. Not too bad. The auto-trigger is a worth while upgrade. The trgiier is like butter and has no slack or over travel. The auto-trigger gives you the option of a quick burst of paint. I would strongly recomend a motorized loader. I got a few ball breaks with a standard hopper, but none with the revy. Get a good barrel kit and you have one deadly marker.
