I ordered this mask when I first ventured into paintball mostly because I didn't want to get shot in the head. The headshield does a great job of protecting your noggin but it definately had is disadvantages. After days of playing the antifog coating had worn off and it fogged continuously. I was given the option to install thermal lenses or buy a different mask. I chose to purchase the new mask.(Dye Proto FL Switch) I felt the comfort was a little off, it tended to squeeze the back of my head and give me headaches after a long day and the goggle foam was extremely firm. My friend had purchase one with me and because he was cheaper than me, he opted to exchange the lense and it seems to have corrected the fogging. I gave the headshield to my girlfriend and she likes the fact that it protects your head but she hads the goggle foam as well. She has decided to toughen up and buy a Dye Proto as well.
Pain is kinda part of the game, I say suck it up and spend the money on a better mask. Nothin is worse than fogging and being uncomfortable while under fire.
Lens scratches easily
Big and ugly
I received this mask as a gift from my father, He got it from CanadianTire and it was waaaay overpriced($80!!!) I wish he would of just gave me that money so I could of ordered something nicer.
So far I have only used this mask once, It was 10-20 degrees outside, and we were only practising snapping back and forth between 2 bunkers we made we didn't really get all that hot so the mask didn't fog. The headshield part was nice when a ball broke on top of my head, But that doesn't make up for how it is in comfort feels it is. The actual mask foam is really uncomfortable leaves redmarks around your eyes, and is really tight either around the forehead or the cheeks so take your pick.Rough on your skin and not comfortable, The goggles either feel too tight, or too loose which isn't a problem since it is a full headshield.
After deciding I wanted to try just the mask and take the headshield off, After much frustration and problems trying to get the stupid caps covering the screws off, I just cut the whole back off since I found the headshield uncomfortable. Now I wear a bandana which I can rest the mask on instead of my face which is alot more comfortable.
When you adjust the tightness of the goggle, It is a small problem but still a problem, The plastic back there isn't ergonomic to your hands and similiar to grabbing pins, The mask if you have it at tight
I gave this mask a 6 which may be a little low, But since masks are a matter of your opinion on looks and comfort, you may enjoy it more. It was quite uncomfortable and ugly, and the mask has just too much of a noobish image.I would recommend this mask to someone who doesn't want to get hit in the head(DUH!) But if you plan on getting serious about paintball get something with a thermal lens and more comfortable.

Proto Switch FS
Proto Switch EL
Extreme Rage single
Full head protection
Doesn't fog to bad
Good field of view
Foam is coarse
Gets hot inside
Since this is one of the few full coverage masks out there, it's hard to do a good comparison, but overall it's a decent mask. For having a single lens it has good fog resistance. Only on the the most humid days does fogging become a big problem. It isn't the most comfortable mask however, as the foam is on the coarse side compared to other masks. Another thing to consider is that it gets a little hot, the ventilation could be better out the top. You can live with that though. The full head protection does its job for this mask.
It isn't perfect, but if protection is desired it does the job.

Redz Body Kit (white)
All-American Front with Freak Back
CP Roller Trigger
Virtue Board / Easy on/off button
-Full Head protection
-You don't have to work about being shot on top or in the back of the head
-Covers Neck somewhat
-Padding is a little uncomfortable and gets itchy while playing
-Tight around cheek bones
-Can get stuffy on hot days
-Fogging. Had to buy a $60 fan just to resist the fogging.
Overall, I'd say buy something else. A Vforce profiler or the new grill runs circles around this mask. It's cheaper than a vforce profiler, but by the time you get the fan to keep your lenses from fogging you'll be spending about the same if not more.

Full Head Protection, Don't have to worry about the rest of your head
Kinda Cramped for A big guy's head
Not the prettiest thing on the street
This is a great beginners mask. I recently got my fiancee interested in doing some backyard 1 on 1 stuff, just playing around. She really enjoyed the security of having her entire head covered, she's rather small and so it fits her well. Me on the other hand, i am 6'4" 240 lbs. this thing made my head feel like a sardine. very cramped, i felt as though the mask wasn't on my face, but pressed into my face. I did have one incident where it fogged. This mask is also not intended for those that wear glasses.
Great mask for a small beginner, so they don't have the anxiousness of getting shot in the head. Good head and neck coverage overall. I wish my head was smaller, i'd use it.

You could take a freekin bullet to the head with this thing!
it fogged up a LIL bit after 3 hours of play, which was easy fix.
This helmet kicks, and is amazing for safety, and "fog-factor"
your head will be totallly safe
you dont have to worry about popping your head out to shoot/ getting bunkered, as yr head will be fine
the top part cannot be taken off, so cleaning is somewhat awkeward, but nothing a tub of water can't fix.
your friends may call you a wimp, but it's ok cuz you'll still look like darth vader.lol
Get this helemet if you dont want to get beaned in the top/back/side of your head,
Well, this mask was great to start out with, w/ full head protection, starting to play the game, getting better w/ baby steps is a lot easier when u have great protection. I don't need that kind of protection any more, i just need better vision to take them out before they get me. That's why i got the profiler. The elite headshield served it's purpose, a must for beginners. Reccomend one to newbies so they don't get scared off by a shot to the back of the head.
Great for the price, awesome beginner mask. I give it a 9 b/c it's just not the best.
This is a very good mask. It covers the back of the head very well. The only thing is if you get shot in the head it WILL break. It rarely bounces. It covers the throat area pretty good too. Even though It comes with a chinstrap, I rarely use it. The goggles rarely fog, but you can always replace them
Smartparts 16"progressive barrel
Shocktek low pessure chamber
20 oz. Co2
Full Head protection. Its also got your chin and troat covered pretty well.
Not much strap to adjust.
I love this helment. For something paintball from Walmart its incredible. It doesn't fog very much i've heard sometimes not at all. I got because it hurts really bad gettin' shot in the back of the head but this covers the high pain areas. It's not pretty but it gets the job done. Thats all that matters right. It cost me about $30 at Walmart thats also the cheapist i found it.
It gets the job done minus headaches from being shot in the back of the head.
