Odyssey Halo B w/ RIP Drive (with or without V35 board) Reviews
What is RipDrive?
RipDrive is a manual feed mechanism for HALO B. It replaces the mainshaft of the unit and allows manual-preloading of the drive spring.
Who is RipDrive for?
RipDrive was originally conceived for tournament players who *have* to be in the game. It is available to anyone that wants to have a backup system for if their force feed system goes down or their batteries die.
How RipDrive works:
By rotating the ripdrive located on the bottom of the loader, the player can feed multiple balls into the ballstack at a time, allowing them to keep playing (at full fire rate!). Depending on the height of your feedneck, you can pre-tension as many as 12-15 balls for firing.
Other Benefits:
When finished playing at the end of the day, rotating the RipDrive in reverse also allows you to easily unload the tensioned ball stack and empty your HALO B. It also allows you unjam bad paint. It can also be used to pre-load balls at the chrono without turning your loader on.
Product Availability
The Odyssey Halo B w/ RIP Drive (with or without V35 board) is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used. Check out the Places to Buy links below for places to purchase it new.

Rip Drive
Weaknesses:
Battery Hog
Review:
This is a very nice hopper, it is very fast and I have had 0 problems with my hopper, no loose wires, bad parts, nothing, it works great
Pros-
Its quite, unlike some hopper that I've heard its really quite, at most you might hear a hum
Very easy to use, just turn it on, when you see a green light your ready to go, to turn it off just press the button for a fe seconds and it will flash red and its off, it also has a automatic shut off thingy so it shuts off to save batteries after a while
Very Fast, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A BALL READY TO SHOOT, very very fast, I love its speed, its like a feeding demon from hell
The Rip Drive is a nice upgrade, you dont have to turn on your hopper for chronoing or if it may happen, you run out of batteries you can load with your fingers, its a nice add on worth the money
Look great!!! Very sexy and modern looking, and the feedneck is freakin huge and strong, you would need a hammer to break it
Conclusion:
I would recommend this hopper for the fast guns, but may be a little overkill for the slower/loer end ones, the only hopper that comes close to the Halos preformance it the Evo, but I like the Halo, very nice hopper, get one if you have a fast spitter, it will never starve your marker

Weaknesses:

Review:
This is a very fast loader. It is consitant, and never jams. It is very upgradable, mine has Victory board which is also EXTREMLY fast. it has a very low profile set, and they kept it small so you can keep it tucted away in your bunker. you can also clean it and maintain it very easily. I love my halo it has never died on me.
Icon T PDS, Reloader B, 72/3k, rest is classified ; )
Strengths:
Speed, upgrade boards, rip drive.
Weaknesses:
Relies on eyes.
Review:
This is the only loader that can compete with the reloader b. This hopper uses a bounce beam eye system which offers a few disadvantages. Dark paint takes longer to register, and there is a small delay before the system activates to push the balls into the marker.
Upgrades for the halo include many different boards, feed components, and rip drive components. However, with the introduction of the B2 from empire, the ripped halo is going to have some serious trouble keeping up. The halo b is insensitive to feed jams. In my reloader, if there is a loading problem, the system will rarely overdrive it and crush the ball. The halo however will crush paint. This is why boards like the cheetah and equalizer are very wise upgrades to get.
Conclusion:
Frankly put, the reloader b is better. But this hopper is still a winner.
I had an A-5 before my Ion so i did not use an electric hopper.
Marker Setup:
Smart Parts Ion
Red HALO B with Rip Drive
68ci 4500psi high pressure N2 tank
Strengths:
Fast
Has rip drive
Weaknesses:
It is a little heavy
Price
Review:
I have only shot a case of paint with it.
Strengths
It feeds very fast. I do not out shoot it.
It has rip drive which is very useful in case you run out of batteries during a game or are going to the chrono and do not want to turn it on. It is also useful if there is a jam. You turn it backwards and it will unjam it.
Weaknesses
This hopper is a little heavy but it is worth carrying the extra weight.
This loader is pretty expensive, but I think it is worth every penny.
Conclusion:
I think that this is a great loader. I would recommend it to everyone

Review:
I got this for Christmas, I duno why, my dad bought it for me, I thought I didn't need it, and that it would double feed on my Spyder, and be a complicated mess. After playing yesterday I'm glad I have it! I installed a 50g microswitch on my Imagine whitch is 5 times lighter thean the stock one on my Spyder Imagine, so it take only 50 grams of preesure on the trigger to shoot a ball as opposed to 250 grams of the stock one. Had I used my old Reloader I would have chopped a lot. With the Halo it semed my Halo was darring me to shoot faster!
I have heard that Halos on Spyders cause double feeds or jams, but no! The Spyder didn't double feed or have any trouble even with just one ball detent. All in all the Halo B is great and the Rip Drive it a nice touch ad good idea if you ever run out of juice in your batteries.
Conclusion:
I would buy it if you have the money, and have a high end marker (I know my Spyder isn't high end, but I paln to move to a Shocker later), it is very fast and will not let you down.

Used Rip drive multiple times.
Weaknesses:
Hiccups.
Hard to clean.
Only holds 170 balls.
Review:
This is a nice product from Odyssey. I had to sand my feedneck for two hours to get it to fit my gun well. It is fast and turns on and off real easy. I hate how it hiccups and if anyone knows how to stop that please tell me.
Conclusion:
I would suggest this gun to anyone who has a gun that shoots 20 bps or more. The new VLocity is nice it looks dumb in pictures but in real life is pretty nice. I would reccoment the Vlocity to anyone who has the extra money.

I will no longer use any other hopper that's why i have another halo ordered just in case
All in all if you have a fast gun the is no other loader that is better for the cost of the halo
Conclusion:
Get one as quick as you can
you will not be dissapointed

Review:
I've had this loader for little over a month, and so far its been great. I like the many color choices available, and the appearance of the loader overall is quite nice. It feeds fast (22+ bps), and with alot of force. This is great if your tired of shaking your egg. The worst thing about this loader is that it takes hours to sand down the neck to fit most non-clamping feednecks. But once you get it on, I think most people will like this loader. As for the ripdrive, I think it is well worth the extra $10. It helps clear jams, and the pretensioning is a great feature. Also, due to the HALO's heavy battery consumption, a backup means of loading balls is welcomed. I would recommend that, if your buying a mechanized loader, instead of spending less on a revvy or an egg, to cough up the extra dough for this. I would also recommend not buying a more expensive Reloader B, because the Halo w/ ripdrive will be sufficient for almost all purposes, and you can upgrade to a sound activated board at a later date if you find it necessary.
Conclusion:
Get this if your looking for a high quality, fast, mechanized loader. Great product!

eVLution II- Not as good. The weight distribution is horrible. Faster feeding rates, and MUCH quieter.
Marker Setup:
Red Smart Parts Ion

S-Rail
SP Bottom Line On/Off
Redz Marker Cover
Strengths:
-Fast
-Durable
-Quiet
-Looks
-Weight Distribution
Weaknesses:
-Expensive
Review:
This is a great loader, and I would strongly reccomend it over an eVLution. It is much faster, and much quieter. I used to like the looks of an Egg, but know I've grown to hate them in comparision to a Halo. Simply put, a Halo is the best out there. I would suggest getting a Halo w/ Rip drive. If your Halo jams, or runs out of batteries, you'll need rip, or else balls won't feed into your marker. The Halo is super easy to operate too. Press the button, it turns on. Press and hold, and it turns off. The switch on an Egg can accidently be bumped off, while this definatly will not happen on a Halo. There are also not weak point on a Halo like on an Egg. Battery doors are securly held in place with a small philips screw. The Halo isn't too hard to service. It's relatively quick once you do it a couple of times. And that's about all I have to say.
Conclusion:
Great product. I love the design, and it works flawlessly. Get it w/ rip though.
Evolution 2, Empire B, Empire B2, Halo A, Halo B w/ Rip Drive and Victory Board, Halo B
Marker Setup:
Spyder Electra ACS 2005, Halo B w/ Rip Drive and Victory (V35) Board, 3000 PSI 47 CI Air America System, Two Part Barrel,
Strengths:
Rip Drive, FAST! Reinforced Feed Neck ( Two Layer Neck)
Weaknesses:
the only thing is that it uses the 8 AA batterys very fast,
Review:
The Halo B is the way to go, it is better than the EMPIRE B and B2... the Halo's stock board goes 22 bps (balls per second) if you get the upgraded VICTORY (V35) BOARD you can choose from 17, 21, 24, 27, 29, 32, and 35 bps (balls per second) It has a factory installed RIP DRIVE which is a little wheel on the bottom of the hopper that in case of battery failure you can twist it and manually feed up to 15 bps.
Conclusion:
You should really get this hopper for any marker that shoots 15+ bps ( balls per second )
