Any, its a barrel kit. Expensive is alaways better tho.
Strengths: Great honing
Sized correctly
Durable
Weaknesses: Heavy
Expensive
Review: I use the SS inserts inside my DW Fibur barrel and they are soooo nice. THey won't break if you drop them, are actually sized correctly, and have really good honing so are more accurate than the Al freaks. Defenitly get these over the Al ones. You won't regret it.
Conclusion: Get them with a DW Fibur barrel

Any because the system allows you to match ball to bore
Strengths: Wide variety of inserts, adapters and end pieces to adjust to play conditions.
Weaknesses: Price
Review: I have tried and failed to find barrels to meet all paint diameters.
I had (5) barrels from different manufacturers with me while playing.

I could, most often size the balls and use one of the barrels.

Some time older paint was available and was larger than what I had for bore size.

This means keeping a huge stock of barrels in different diameters and lengths to meet available paint diameters and play conditions (winter, summer, etc...).

I play at fields that require the paint be purchased onsite. They often get different paint weekly which means also varied paint diameters.

I played at my field and purchased Marbalizers. I sized the balls and found them to run very small in diameter (.684) My normal barrels are .691.

The Freak system allowed me to find the best insert and match the paint.

The resultant match was perfect. Long distance accuracy due to ball bore match.
My teammate used the same balls with standard barrel and his shots were all over the place.

I can range from (.682 to .697) in size and still maintain effective ball bore matching by simply swapping out inserts. I can also change from my Tippman 98 to my Schrager Brothers Shadow (Spider thread adapter) by changing base components. Back into the game in minutes.

Conclusion: The Freak System allows you to match ball diameter to bore.
You can't get much more accuracy from a round paintball.
Using this and an High pressure air tank instead of CO2 will also improve overall results.

Strengths: Accuracy
Paint to Bore Match
Quietness

Weaknesses: Price can be for some people but it is definitely worth it.
Review: I got this barrel kit upgrading from a '06 Progresive and all I can say is "Woah, Big Change". This kit drastically increased my accuracy. This easily is one of the best barrel kits/barrels out on the market today and can definitely compete with the Dye UltraLite, SLY and a Stiffi just to name a few. The Freak allows you to use any paint because of the 8 Inserts it comes with (Except Huge Swollen Paint). The ability to have a perfect paint to bore match is amazing, giving you ball on ball accuracy with the right gun. In my opinion the Freak made my gun more quiet. The looks are great. Gives you a chance to give your gun some style as well performance. I feel inserts are better than backs because you have a limited number of backs and with the Freak it gives you the same or better performance. Backs cost more then inserts do and I feel it is easier to change inserts in and out rather then having to change backs.

Get this Kit. Best kit for your money!
Conclusion: This is a great barrel for the price and will last you forever. Especially with the SS inserts. This will give you much better accuracy and a great paint to bore match.

Trust me! You won't be disappointed. 10/10

Review: I've used tons of barrels and this is the best so far, it's insanely accurate, takes kick out of the gun because it's a little on the heavy side, the inserts are alot stronger than the aluminum kit (some of mine were dented), and it looks good

the only problem i've ever had with this barrel is that inconsistently shaped paint will break in it and this isn't the best barrel for shooting through breaks, so this is pretty much a high end paint only barrel
Conclusion: For a long time now i've been looking for the perfect barrel, and the ss freak comes damn close, it'e the best barrel i have ever used but it's not the perfect barrel i've been searching for, it's not perfect, but it is the best barrel i've ever used and it performs amazingly so it deserves a 10

Weaknesses: Takes at least 15 minutes to figure out what insert to use
Review: I here the inserts bend if you sit on them or step on them.I dont do this, they work perfect when you put them in the barrel and shoot. some people say they dont shoot through breaks, I havnt had this problem. I used to use a an aluminum freak kit then I left paintball for a while and now there are so many kits out there and everyone bash's the smart parts kit, why??? Cuz it was the first one out so all else is compared to it. You probably will never use 3 of the inserts, who cares Id rather have them instead of not. the fact that you can buy different lenghts is awsome, and when you buy a new gun just buy a new back, with the dye or any others your screwed. If you use a decent paint its easy to match to an insert, if you use crappy paint you shouldnt be looking to buy an expensive barrel kit, save your money and shoot better paint!!! I know all paint isnt perfect but it should atleast be round!!
Conclusion: Maybe Im old school, but playing on and off for 17yrs now I have always found smartparts to be either the best or on par with the best and I still feel this is true. There are a ton of dye loyalists and evil lovers but alot of these people never owned anything else, my advice is if you get the chance to borrow a kit from someone do it and youll find this kit on par with the best. after all smartparts set the standard yrs ago when making the freak kit. nothing is 100% perfect but this is close as far as barrels go, i only wish a stainless back was available for my g7 fly.

Review: STAINLESS STEAL people listen DO NOT GET ALUMINUM FREAK INSERTS. ss will last so much longer, are less likly to bend or come out of shape. If u ever drop an aluminum insert it WILL come out of shape, these things are designed to be incredible accuarte in bore size. if u drop it it will lose its exact shape. ss will not, much more durable. ALSO ss provides better flow for the paintballs. it is smoother causeing less friction and all accruecy. the alonly thing i was bummed about was that they were all silver. if ur a matching FREAK (ha) then get 1 aluminum insert to match ur gun. the ss is all preformence and is one of the best. Freak is a symbol of u got a lot of money and ur gun will own.
i recommend to find out what size paint u will use at the feild so u will not have to bring all of ur inserts. just incase sumone wants to steal ur shinnner ss inserts which would suck!
Conclusion: spend the extra 25 dollars and get the ss IT IS WORTH IT

Review: If you are looking around at kits but not sure what to get. The Freak kit has been around for a long time and alot of people use them. Anyone that has one that is good knows that they are nice to have. You can shoot any size of paintball no more paintballs rolling out of the end of the barrel. Especially when a field you attend uses Diablo paintballs which any of them are small bore. Stainless Steel inserts are nice cause they dont bend or chip when you drop them. SP had a lot of Aluminium inserts bending, chipping when you would drop them on the ground. The only thing I didnt like about the kit was the new box that the freak came in. Its really wide so if you have a small gear bag it takes a good amount of space up. Shooting paintballs since you can sinch up the space in the barrel your FPS goes up. And the Shooting accuracy goes way up. 60 ft you can shoot the size of a small saucer. One on top of the other if your shooting from way in the back possition. Great barrel. I recomend it.
Conclusion: Its a great barrel. Tired of paintballs rolling out of the barrel or not fitting. Get a Freak kit it solves all your unaccurate problems. Well it wont help you with your looks or how to find a date. But it will definately improve your paintballs getting on the target.

More durable than aluminum inserts
Weaknesses: Heavier than the aluminum insert kit
Review: Just bought this setup last weekend. Very impressed with its accuracy. Grouping stays Within 3 inches at 60ft with cheap recreation paint (making proper boring nearly impossible) and 90ft and an incredible 6" spread in the grouping at 115ft with tournament grade paint. Anyone that thinks thats not accurate should measure the speedball field they play on. Their Heavier than the older aluminum system, but these inserts wont slowly wear down like the aluminum inserts do. after 12,000 paintballs (it goes by faster than you think) my old aluminum .689 insert became a .691 due to wear and tear. I only feel the weight difference when im holding the two different inserts alone in my hands. I see lots of people complaining about the price, but most high-end barrel systems cost around the same, and those that dont simply cant compare to the FREAK.
Conclusion: The stainless FREAK system definitely deserves a 10. Its incredible accuracy will never let you down. If your serious about paintball, consider the stainless FREAK system when you decide to upgrade barrels. Itll be the last barrel upgrade you ever make

Review: Pro's
This barrel system is probably one of the lowest cost out there that covers a wide range of ball sizes. The insert kit comes with 8 different sizes in the form of inserts. They range from .679 all the way to .695. The front's are interchangeable with the All-American also made by Smart Parts. Depending on what kind of game I play, I switch from a longer AA, to a shorter Freak front.

Con's
This barrel is quite heavy. It's nearly double the weight of my CP Pro 2-piece barrel. Even with the lighter aluminum back, it's still heavier than the CP by a good amount. The style for the front may look good, but the back needs some improvement. Without an o-ring by the threads where it screws onto the marker, the back usually comes loose, or gets stuck.
Conclusion: This is a great barrel system for the money. If weight and overall style isn't a big factor, then it's a great barrel.
