This is an awesome addition to any A-5. It allows you to load from the top about 30 rounds. Great for scenerios and training when you want to operate without the full hopper and experience the feel of an MP5 style system.
Product Availability
The ACI A-5 Micro Max Loader Cap is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Strengths: Better for scenario players.
Weaknesses: If you shoot like crazy and have no skill you will hate this.
Review: Ok so i don't own this product but i made something exactly like it after seeing it. I bought the cheap paint from wally world ( the kind that comes in the 100 round speed loader ). Then I sawed it in half just below the 75 mark on the tube. It wont fit unless you heat the edges with a hair dryer or something so its more flexible. Then it will slide on with some help and hold around 50 ball. I love it not as bulky as the stock hopper and.
Conclusion: If you have skill and don't need 20 balls a second like other people then this is great for you. But if you cant hit anything with out missing hundreds of times first then don't get it.

Marker Setup: Tippmann A-5, E-grip, stock 200 round hopper, East Gate Design offset hopper adapter, Opsgear's collapsible M-4 stock, Operater 16" barrel, M-4 handguard, a modified Rap4 integrated front-sight, M-4/M-16 clip as fore grip, Tasco raiser mount, Tasco A3 carry handle/sight-rail, Tasco carry handle scope mount, Tasco red-dot scope, Ariakon tac-light, E-Z sling (od), desert camoflaged the handguard, grip, and stock, and of course, Lapco's fake suppressor
Strengths: Allows you to use scopes and sights.
Weaknesses: Very cheap. Opens when I shoot. Reloads slow and constant. Didn't fit at first.
Review: I hate this loader! All it is is a pod top. I've only used it as a dust cover ever since Proteam's Tac cap came out, and now I'm using East Gate Design's A-5 offset Hopper adapter. This is a good idea, but not much effort was made to see this product through.
Conclusion: Stay Away! I know everyone else is praising it, but you'll get murdered on the field if you use this! There are at least a couple far better solutions than this.

Tippmann A-5 #2: Equipped with Opsgear Spetznaz modification kit and E-Grip
Strengths: Ammo conservation

Review: The cap works exactly as advertised. But read the cap. It's made by Java, right? Now, get one of your clear plastic loader pods...see the top. "java" right? Its exactly the same as the black and translucent plastic top.....In other words, if you can get the top off the pod, then you can have a Micro Max Cap. This is only to say that you really don't have to order one... They do work though.
Conclusion: The product works precisely as advertised. But they're pretty readily available if you look close enough at your existing equipment!!

Review: Great product. Only get it if you are trying to save money on paint. I used to waste paint but this product has made me pick my shots more carefully. Get it. You can buy it just about anywhere and is well worth the $3. Very low profile, so you can use a scope or red dot if your into that stuff.
Conclusion: Get it. It's like $3.

Weaknesses: Depends on your shooting style
Review: I bought this a while back, and to tell the truth I like it much, I am the type of person that is all for ammo conservation, and if that is you then this is a perfect product. Holding only thirty rounds makes you tend to pick your shots more precisely. It also helps greatly if you are the type of person that likes to use and E-dot, or scope of any sort. It is also nice because it is a cheap mod for those that play a little more conservitely. The down side to it is that if you do go over your thirty rounds, refilling is a bit of a pester cause no one makes a thirty round guppy, you are kind of forced to use the 10 rnd pistol clip pods. And as the other fella stated, once you get this on it is quite a pain to get back off, but that also means that it is sturdy and wont fall off while you are in the heat of things
Conclusion: Good product for its design, it will definitely hold up to the rigors of paintball

Strengths: very low profile and you can use a scope yay
Weaknesses: only hold 30 rounds can be a B**** to get off
Review: I like this product for woodsball and just target shooting. One plus of haveing this on is you accualy learn how to shoot. While on the other hand you have to reload after ev ery 30 shots, But when you do fially want to switch you have to pull like hell to get it off which is kind of annoying to me.
Conclusion: Hey its only 3.00 bucks so your not loseing much money. If you have a A-5 get it.
