rebel deluxe
stainless steel all american barrel
lazy z drop forward
better accuracy than spyders (that i have seen)
Recommended Paintballs:
medium bore
Strengths:
makes the stingray quiet as hell
i have yet to see a quieter gun, than this gun run on 12 gram co2, and that includes auto cockers and my gun.
accuracy and range improve
Weaknesses:
its not that great of a barrel
but its the easiest one to find for a stingray
Conclusion:
if your planning on keeping your stingray-get this barrel
if your planning on selling your stingray-get this barrel (it will sell for about 20 bucks more)
if you are getting a new gun-get this barrel and use your stingray for backup
i should've kept my stingray, but i sold it to buy my rebel which is awesome, but it would be nice to have a back up gun. if you know what i mean
it gets a 9 as one of the best barrels for the stingray (except for the ceramic)
Currently i have no gun worth putting up here. But i have a lot of paintball experance.
Recommended Paintballs:
Any other than brass eagle. PMI seems to work well. So does quake
Strengths:
> Big loss of sound but with the sound of the stingray its self dosent really effect it much
> Accuracy inproved
> Nice looking
> Crome ( I love crome and smoke colours ^_^)
Weaknesses:
> Makes the stingray longer then it already is
> Wobbly
Conclusion:
If you own a stingray. Ether get this or a J&J Ceramic. This is still a very good and recommended upgrade for stingray owners.
WOW great improvment in accuracy and noise. Still not a spyder or autococker but if you only play once in a while like me it makes a big difference.
Weaknesses:
very shiny but i fixed that with some camo tape.
a little lose of a fit but also fixed with a little camo tape.
accuracy will never be that good on a stingray but is it really that good on any paintball marker under 200?
Conclusion:
For the weekend warrior or someone whos not serious about the sport it is a really nice improvement. I get alot of crap for carrying a stingray II but i have tagged many a spyder compact with this gun even won a tournament once.
-great accuracy
-inexpensive($30.00)
-looks very cool
-doesn't break paint much
Weaknesses:
Marbalizer paint is a bad choice for this barrel. I shot with it for only 500 rounds and got like 4 ball breaks whereas I used big ball and had none.
Kinda loose but doesn't affect accuracy much.
Conclusion:
get this if you have a stingray its a good step up from the stock. Becareful not to use marbalizer paint because it breaks easily.
I got it for about 5$ on e-bay, suckers are always trying to get the 16" tru flight thing instead of the 12" eagleworks. It has improved my accuracy a lot. With the right paint there are few breaks(I've had good experience with Big Ball). It looks a lot better than the stock barrel.
Weaknesses:
With the wrong paint.... ewwwww... It didn't seem to quiet my gun any(but any noise while in the woods gives your position away, so who cares how loud you are?). It was a bit loose, but i put some tape around the end and it tightened it up nice. The cut outs for the pins to hold it in can get agrivating when you feild strip it to swab your barrel because it isnt like the stock with a full cut out around, it only has two impressions that have to line up almost perfectly for the pins to fit on properly. Let's face it, you own a stingray, take what little upgrades you can get until you can afford a better gun(I stepped up a step and got myself a Spyder Compact, yes it is another cheap gun but it has some great upgrades for it)
Conclusion:
Until you have the $90 to buy a Spyder Compact get this if you want to squeeze a little more life out of your stinger. But if you are switching guns soon then don't bother. It gets a 10 because it is the best barrel for the stingray IMHO.
i had a stingray for about a year and i found that the gun itself was fairly reliable, and with the addition of this barrel i was able to compete with my friends' piranhas. after selling my stingray i let a friend of mine use my barrel, with that barrel he has tagged me so many times i wish i had sold it with the gun. the barrel itself is not that badly made adn with it my gun was fairly more accurate and a good bit quiter.
Weaknesses:
really since i put electrical tape around it, nothing
Conclusion:
i dont agre with other ppl when they say that the stingray is a piee of crap and that they cant compete with other better guns. and that the barrel helps a lot
-don't know why you would bother upgrading the stingray anyway
-cheap
Weaknesses:
-ball breaks suck
-shiny (easily fixed)
-thats it
Conclusion:
i no longer own a stinggray, it is the biggest ripoff in paintball, i bought mine with hopper, mask, squeegie, and elbow for 100 dollars. i sold it three days ago for 35 and i am damn proud i managed to rip the kid off
this gun is decent if your playing against pumps or other stingrays, but against real metal guns with trigger pulls shorter than the length of you arm-you better be way better than the others if you wann COmpete
