A simple on/off with some nice features. It includes three 1/8 NPT ports, from which you can add a guage. It also gives the user the option of which side to run the hose on.
Mounts on a rail.

The Chipley Custom Machine On/Off ASA is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

CCM on/off ASA
Strengths:
Heavyer alloy
stronger threads
Straight forward and effective
Two side ports for macro fittings
Weaknesses:
A bit heavy
Looks
Review:
I had just got this in, and bu looking at it...It differs from the picture on the page here. Mine's milled squared and rounded edges with a plastic button on the on/off knob. Kinda weird lookin'...Could add a bit more milling to it...Reducign wheight and giving it more looks.
It's a bit heavy, but it makes up in raw strenght. The threads can, and will hold up to renter abuse. Cleaning is simple, unscrew the knob on the front to take out the one peice knob / pin with a small oring halfway up the pin's shaft. Wipe, rubbing alc petrolium jelly. Done, 15 seconds.
It's a very basic set up, but that's what makes it so strong, not much can go wrong with it. It's like a spool compared to a locker on a truck..If you can understand that. (one has moving parts, other one dosn't...One without moving parts is stronger and not much goes wrong with them)
Conclusion:
Great ASA, über basic, nothing can go wrong with it other than an o ring, or the side port 's bolt that may leak air. Fixes if something goes wrong? o-ring or some blue lock tite.
Easy to clean and maintain, easy to trouble shoot. Strong as a bloody tank, and the threads take damage that only a renter, or being dropped 30,000 feet out of a jet can dish out.
Costs an easy $50-$60, but I bet you that much it'll be the last ASA you will ever buy.
Giving it a 10, because looks and how heavy it is does not affect the preformance of your marker.
Does not function properly - fingers moist cannot turn

Have tried three tanks.

you screw in to turn it on. Then you have to back off to let air in. I am unable to adjust this in the field as it is extremely hard. I attribute this to my HP tank.
I have to shoot 10-15 balls to see if I have shoot down from lack of air flow. This is a horrible piece of equipment. I can work if you fiddle with it and want to lose paint. The air is so vital to your game and if you starve your gun you can kiss your ass goodbye in a
shot out.
I thought perhps it could have been the tank. I tested the three listed above. Another ion we have ahs the shocktech and I am very happy with that as it is easy to grab and turn. It has grooves in it. A larger version is made by check it
Conclusion:
Don't buy it. When your in the field and your equipment fails how can one give a postive rating to a piece of equipment that for IONS is non functional. An on/off should be solid all the way on and off - not where you fiddle with it and hope you have proper air to your system. I even contacted them and explained the problem and the company was unwilling to admit their downfall with the product nor reccomend and equivalent form their product line. Must be getting alot of calls. It is one thing to have a saolid comapny that gets a bad batch - I can live with that as alot of this stuff is made overseas. but when thye will nto even admit fault nor stand behind their products then this is a company you do not want to do business with. smart parts has $15 on off that is supposed to be good. I am out searchign for a new one. I have 2 ions and I buy different parts on each gun - what is considered #1 and #2 and so far I hear that you do not want to by the push button on/offs but rather a solid turning mechanism.
I rember the field that sold me 2 pieces of ccm and I regret buyign both of them
2003 Chipley J2, E-Blade with Samurai Trigger, CCM 14" Carbon Barrel Kit, CCM Drop Forward with On/Off, Evolution 2 Hopper with Z-Board and 45/4500 Crossfire Tank with Kalibur Tank Cover.
Strengths:
Quality Built
Simple Design
Small Size
Light Weight
Made By CCM
Weaknesses:
A little pricey at $40.00 for just the On/Off without a drop forward
Review:
This On/Off is a great product made by a great company. The On/Off is machined very well and works flawlessly. If you have a Chipley marker, the machine work done to the On/Off will match perfectly. One feature that I feel makes this On/Off superior to other On/Off's is the one piece thumb screw / internal mechanism. The oring is attached to this one machined piece, so maintance/repair/replacement of the oring can be done without tools. The On/Off is probably one of the smallest/lightest one available. It is significantly lighter and smaller than my Kapp On/Off. Remember to get the CCM Drop Forward because it matches the On/Off perfectly.
Conclusion:
This is a great On/Off. If you are in the market for an On/Off, check this one out. It works with any rail system but I would suggest that you get the CCM Drop Forward. I works great and looks great.
