~~FYI~~ I HAVE THE STINGER v3 KIT FOR AN OPEN BODY SHOCKER~~FYI~~
Ive heard bad things about the Evolve bolt like its really hard to get above a certain velocity (~260) w/o turning the pressure above what most consider "dangerous" for a Shocker and her noid (230 psi). So I bought the NDZ one and never looked back. I get A LOT more air out of my tank now compared to stock (about 1500 shots off a 70/4500) so thats really good. This bolt is also cheaper than the Smart Parts and Evolve bolts and performs better imo. Its also available in diffferent colors to match the different breach colors for those that do or dont want color contrast. The NDZ bolt allows you to lower the operating pressure in your marker to allow for less kick and less wear on the weak shocker internals.. I think mines at ~165-170 with a dwell that has me shooting around 280-285 fps for the local field and my marker has never ran better or longer. The only thing is that since its an open body (sides cut out in the breach), you have to closly align the o-rings in the firing can with the holes in the breach and try not to pinch or break em, while at the same time, getting them to line up correctly. Its really not that hard but thats why I said you have to be SOMEWHAT knowledgable of the task at hand or youll end up with a big air leak in the breach. So as long as you got that down.. this is an AWESOME product.
If your not stupid amd want a better bolt for your shocker... then buy it.... NOW! It gets a 9.8 coz a 10 means endless air..
it was like love at first sight, the first time i took my shocker to the field there it was behind the case a slightly used v3 for $30! dropped it in that night(its really not that hard) kept the stock settings and noticed little kick. well when i got home i read up on it tweaked the settings and got amazing results. almost no kick or FSDO, and greater efficiency. later i did the 410 mod by drilling holes around the entire place on the bolt where the stock holes are. after this i dropped my input to 140-150, and dwell at 12. the shocker absolutely rips now, and efficiency is about the same.
I believe the product is great, the could make the side window o-rings bigger so its easier to line them up. About the drilling holes, the main place to drill the holes is on the bolt sleeve which is the part that you keep from stock so its not ndz's prob. Overall i really recommend!! i would rate a 9.5 damn close to 10, but nothing perfect with a shocker bolt

firing chamber not just pop-in like stock or HE kit
I recently ordered my NDZ V3 Stinger kit from Punisher's PB, and I have just finished my initial product testing. I will now detail my experience from initial inspection to actual use:
It came in it's nice packaging, with all required o-rings, and even with a dandy New Designz sticker. An included little plastic baggy contains an extra rear bumper for the bolt guide in case the stock one (or if you had the delrin bolt like me, which didn't have one) is a little worn, as well as the two 16/70 (the same size as the main bolt o-ring) o-rings used to seal the side cut-outs in the body. Remember this number (16/70), as they only give you 2, and I managed to slice one up the FIRST time I installed the firing chamber. I REALLY think that it would have been nice to include more than 2 of them in the original kit, as you risk damaging them EVERY time you have to clean and lube the bolt (the firing chamber and bolt are connected in the gun :-/ ).
As far as manufacturing and overall product appearance, it looks second to none, a BEAUTIFUL product, nothing less than what we have come to expect from New Designz...
This is the kits only falling point, as you must CAREFULLY and PRECISELY line up the firing chamber so the o-rings line up with the holes in the body. I found that partially inserting the firing chamber (enough so that part of the o-rings are held into the firing chamber by inserting it far enough into the body), then looking down from above and centering the firing chamber on the little flat spot on the top of the body (the place where a sight rail would be on a rifle) works the best for getting the chamber rotated to the proper orientation. Folks, this is basically a trial and error process, and my only complaint with the kit
Oh yeah, now for the good stuff!
I used a PMI PE 88 ci 4500 psi tank, and it was filled to where the gauge read 4000 psi square on the nose. The air temp was in the upper 80's, and I used PMI premium paint, fitted properly to my freak barrel insert (.689).
I fired 500 rounds, mostly on ramping mode to simulate rapid fire during play (doesn't give the nitro as much time to expand to atmospheric pressure, so is the most inefficient way to fire). When all 500 rounds had been used up, the gauge read in between 2750 and 3000, to which I estimated about 2875.
If you do the math, that is BARELY shy of a full case off a solid 4500 fill. NOT TOO SHABBY! With my old bolt, 500 rounds would use approximately 1800-2000 psi, which works out to about 1100-1200 shots (ideally, with perfect conditions, which NEVER exist). I almost DOUBLED my shot count!!!
I did not break a single ball during the test, and I was firing 275-285 very consistantly, with most shots being +/- 3 fps.
Another bonus was that I was able to lower my input pressure to 180 psi, instead of the 200 psi I used to use. The added benefit of reducing the pressure was NOTICABLY LESS KICK, I will definitely say I was shooting a straighter rope than before, the balls were RIGHT ON TOP of each other, one after another!!
What is there bad to say about this REMARKABLE product? NOTHING...
It almost DOUBLED my shot count, and reduced kick with a resulting improvement in accuracy, as well as a quieter overall shot.
I think the only thing New Designz overlooked was the propensity of the side windows to cut the o-rings, and I genuinely think it would be a nice touch for them to include a couple extra (like 2 or 3, not asking a lot) in the kit.
BUY THIS BOLT!
If you are seeking an improvement in efficiency and overall inreased marker performance, then there should be NOTHING keeping you from buying this bolt!! Buy it, and your Shocker will love you forever :-)!!!

Well I was soo excited to get this thing in the mail. When i oppened the package to see it i see this tiny little thing. I think to myself can that really be it. I pick it and its really light and i think that i could break it. So i take out the firing chamber stuff getting ready to install it. The directions where horrible they said take out fire chameber parts. now install bolt and test fire. Thats about it. The orings on this bolt to keep it from moving are soo hard to get ont he sides of the firing can. But when i installed it and tested it i was soo happy. this thing rips. No FSOD at all. Went a longer time without fill. Lower input pressure meaning less kick. Everything was better. Obvisily ndz new what they were doing making the bolt soo light. so no complaints now that it is installed
Never used other bolt kits. But if you buy this you surely will be pleased. This bolt kit is awsome another quality part from ndz.
I got this and was excited to put it in. When i did and aired it up it leaked like crazy. i realized that i had not put it in just right. You have to match the o rings up perfectly to the holes in the gun. It is really hard to when there is really no groove to stick the o rings in to. You have to slide it in and then use trial and error to get it to work. Once i did though it was awesome!!
Less than a sp and in my mind better. If you have the cash then buy one as soon as you can.

The firing chamber.
I got this in the mail waiting with much anticipation. When I opened I was in awe at how much better it looks than the stock one. So I went to install it and the o-rings didn't line up with the outside grooves of the firing chamber. I decided to try it without them and it leaked like no tomorrow. It was literally spraying out the sides of the gun. So I tried putting the o-rings on again and they barley fit this time. So I tried it out and it still leaked just as much! Plus half of one of the o-rings popped out the side! So I just put the stock firing chamber on and it worked fine. Now that I had it working I went out and tried it. It cycled faster as I shot and the FSDO was gone, it was great. And I noticed I had to go quite a bit longer before I needed a refill.
Its a great bolt just don't use the firing chamber that comes with it. You're welcome to try though. Maybe you'll get luckier than me when you get yours.P.S. If you have an xbox you must go out and buy greg hastings tournamnet paintball.
I am a dealer for Smart Parts, Evolve, and New Designz so I have done my own product testing on all of their products. The New Designz bolt has the most origional design and in my opinion is the best of the high effeciency bolt kits. The unique milling on the bolt allows for it to change direction with less resistance and a smoother action than the competition and thereby allows you to run lower pressure. Installation in not difficult at all, just put some dow on the eye o-rings and line them up and slide it in. I have installed many of them now without any problems.
It's by far the bolt of choice for the shocker in my opinion. Just kinda sadd that i'm sitting on an inventory of the competition.
