These are by the far, the greatest shoes I have ever worn for playing paintball. My only regret is that I didn't find these shoes sooner. There's a reason all the pros wear these. These shoes have some of the greatest grip I've ever seen allowing great traction in balance on wooded and uneven fields. My greatest concern upon buying these shoes is with the cleat configuration I worried I would lose speed or have an off sense of balance. However when you wear and run these shoes, you almost feel like you're in your bare feet. I can't say enough about these shoes except that if you consider yourself a true player, you need to try these shoes. They are the best.
My only negative comment is that they run a bit small. I am a size 14 but had to get a 15 for comfort. However, outside of that I have nothing negative to say.
Conclusion:
Buy these shoes right now, get out your cash, credit card, and check book and buy these shoes.
kingman spyder compact java delux with vl 200rd hopper, 9 oz c02, electronic point sight
Strengths:
these shoes are a good price, cool design, and great quality. i went to Paintball City in Toronto, Ontario, and thier floor is like macdonalds fries, greasy. they are very durable, so i use them at school, and they are cheap.
After slipping and injuring my knee on the loose sandy dirt at my local field, I decided enough was enough..."old" junk and shoes for other sports aren't going to cut it.
So did some research, decided on the Diggers, thanks to the guy above who said "they run a little small" I ordered 1/2 size above what I normally wear and they were about perfect but a tad tight in the foot.
Still, these are STOUT shoes and needed a good break in. Wore them around the house for a couple of days (clomp...clomp...clomp) and went and played. WOW! Traction galore but in a way that simply makes you unaware you are playing on a loose surface. Very comfortable walking around the off-field pavement...tough shoes which exactly met my needs and $65 (price went up a bit) ordered over the internet sure beat the hell out of spend 2 hours at Footlocker trying to explain what paintball was to some 13 year old clerk.
Buy exactly what you need is the best use of your money, I'm extremely happy with my Diggers, still wear a bit of Moleskin for protection because after playing a couple of times, they still don't seem 100%% broken-in but are close...no different than breaking-in a good pair of hiking boots.
02 Black Magic
smart parts all american/dye boomstick
Mac Dev Gladiator
Crossfire 45/4500 low pressure
Strengths:
Very comfortable and well made. I had been using a pair of land sharks before this and I can say that this is the better of the two. The insole seems to be very well padded and the placement of the actual cleats are benifical to both comfort and ground grip. They also seemed to breath better then most. Until you actually get a pair you will not know what you are missing, but once you do own a pair you will not go back to anything else.
You can order from the manufacturer directly
Weaknesses:
The sizeing seems to run a little small. If you wear a pair of 9's for Nike then you will need a 9 1/2 on the diggers. Nothing bad really just something you might want to know before you order....
Conclusion:
I really like the comfort and durability of these cleats. They are light weight and are quality made. I rec these to anyone looking for an edge in this very competitive sport. Give them a try....
Red fade to grey ANS GX-3 chaos cocker, Kapp Drop Zone II, Kapp twista cocking rod, red dye stickies, ACI Bulldog II, Dye Titanium, red Kapp trigga shoe, 9v clear revy, and red macro line.
Strengths:
Give Better Traction
Good for quick moves
Weaknesses:
Doesnt look alll that great
Makes it hard to climp hills which have any solid flat surface like in the desert i play in in Vegas.
Conclusion:
Great if u want them
if u dont a player may have a slight edge
These cleats beat the hell out of slipping in the mud and landing on your face. Great grip on muddy fields, excellent traction, comfortable, easy to clean, good looking product, lightweight compared to other "football" type high tops, no "break in period". Wore them in the rain this past weekend and never slipped once in mud.
Weaknesses:
DOES Dr. Scholls make a replacement to the cheaply made insole? I'll be doing some research on this!
Conclusion:
Overall, very comfortable shoe, got my pair for $49.99, and one of the best investments you could possibly make for your comfort while playing a full 8 hour day of paintball!!!
I have used a pair of these for one playing season in outdoor speedball and wooded areas. These shoes have not shown any wear and very comfortable. Personally i find them to be sharp looking and lighter then my regular cleats. This may be one of the few items in paintball that isn't overly priced.
Weaknesses:
They dont seem to make me run any faster or jump any higher (unless you include the better traction factor).........maybe i should try Gatorade!? Would like to see a high(er) top version specifically for wooded area play.(Better overall protection for uneven terrain).
